  • dear paulo,
brida is not just a book that reveals life, love n magic..but it certainly is a masterpiece that surpasses the extraordinary..truly appreciable for the conviction with which its written..its read with as much cnviction as well..it nt just aruses innumerable questions but eventually answer them as well..it reinforces the faith that i have upheld fr so long..faith in god n love..it makes me think that all our mistakes in life are’nt s worthless..after all v r all working towards a higher goal..a purpse that’s been predefined..n v witness our own lives as destiny unfolds in the way..only to make us realise v r only a manifestation of the superior being..whether v recognize that in time is what seperates us from others..ur book is a soulful journey that shakes us to introspect n do some soul searching..the mystery of life is that v try to hld all that v love nt realising that the most b’ful things of life can only be cherished n felt not held..
    thnx so much…
    love.

  • Dear Paolo,

I am excited to write you a note and be sure that you will read it. I am making this for the first time although I love you and your books for many years.

Re Brida, I have just finished this book. At the first glance, it could seem as so romantic and girl-like, but for me it was a truly magic book. Every time when I was in NYC subway I read it and it forced me to think about my life, my Soul Mate and how am I going to find him. It forced me to think about my past relationships, for what purpose I had them and they happened to me, what mistakes I made, what I learned and what I changed afterward.

“Living is more important than understanding” - is the crucial statement for me, as I really have so many questions about our God, religions…believes. I am a Muslim who deeply believes in Allah and currently are fasting. But, it so difficult to admit every rules of Koran, impossible to understand what are the reasons and if I am not following all rules, whether I am bad in front of Allah???? and your words in Brida, helped me to admit that “I don’t know” and that in a good sincere faith of God, I am doing my best to be a better person, be kind and find my way and my mission for what I was born. It is more important, living is more important. And, hopefully, one day I will find and understand the truth.

    Yours,
    Aliya
