Today’s Question by Aart Hilal

by Paulo Coelho on September 29, 2008

One could say there are just two kinds of people: The ones that believe in justice in this world, and the ones that don’t. In which category do you fit? And why?

I think that reducing the world to two kinds of people – those that believe in justice and those that don’t – is too simple. To believe in justice is not the matter. The matter is: to apply Justice, to live according to the laws that you think are valid.

When you start truly thinking about how you are living up to your standards of justice, you start, strangely enough, to perceive the world through other lenses.

The judge of other people’s lives disappears.

and that is where lies the justice in recognising your own standard.

for me, i think i couldn’t just trust people these days, i mean, “some”,i don’t wanna generalize it for i believe that the good side of us is somewhere in our hearts, laying down in an unknown, and someday will just be awake from a great awakening, its called, realization. anyway, we knw and we witnessed the violence and crimes in this world. i just wanna share something mr. coelho, i thought massacre, slaughtering and any other brutal killing could just be seen in movies or in stories, i wept the whole day after seeing the documentary film of the hacienda Luicita massacre in the Philippines. at that very moment, i witnessed how cruel people are. as far as ive known, the souls of the poor peasants that died on that very land where they grew and cultivated their own source of living has never given justice until now. i don’t understand why people would kill if its necessary to kill just to gt what they want. for power?money?position? that’s y, i could say, im on the other side, the one’s who don’t.i believe that there are still people people in our government who seeks for justice for their fellow men and still what the goodness of their people, but i cant count the one’s who wanted to gain power and position by not giving their people their justice. not only in my country now, same institutions where wars begin are endless and ruthless, religion vs. religion, countries against countries and even men in same blood that runs through their veins would kept on opposing each other for their own selfish ambitions. it’s all wickedness! i believe that God’s justice is fair and just, but His people are manifesting such things, making themselves more superior than their own God. i can’t believe this people. i truly can’t. and i can’t trust these people either. if it’s only God’s justice you’d asked, i would say im on His side, for i truly believe in His ways and in His will. im sorry about my post, it’s just i can’t stand the lameness of our country brought by these selfish dogs in the government wrecking lives by grafts and corruptions. i know someday they’ll realize their wickedness. thanx Mr. Coelho for this, keep safe and touch more lives. God bless.

I think i would adapt the comment to say …….

there are just two kinds of people……

the ones who have discovered to live life from the heart…..

and those that have yet to discover this way of life.

When you live your life from the heart…..then all else follows..

btw…thank u Aart for introducing me to Paulo’s blog……i wasn’t aware of it until u left me that post out of the blue…must have been a sign…what else could explain why the paths of two strangers crossed momentarily.

keep smiling : )

keep living life from the heart : )

Optimists believe in justice, sceptics doubt and pesimists probably do not but it is the question to apply justice in your everyday life that realy matters.
