I love the “Image of the Day” from 10/10/08 (December Solstice). I would like to use it as a logo in our email newsletter. I’m a practitioner who works with cancer patients and their families. Is there any way I can license it for that use? I’m a non-profit provider who does a lot of free work. Can’t pay a lot, but I’d love to be able to use this image as a masthead if the license charge is reasonable.
Possible?
Thanks!

it’s a magic night because reflects the eternal principle: what is up is down (the time of light is equal); what is left is right is left (the path of sun): practically it’s a cross in the world.
have a nice day

What a wonderful pic!
about those beautiful pictures that you let here, this recall me something that many people say in my country,in france, when they ‘re looking beautiful things of the nature, they say often this sentence” la nature est bien faite” this means”the nature is well made” as if with this ordinary sentence, they admit that the nature was created, for me this means that they accept,(sometimes without knowing because a lot of them don’t have the faith) that to believe in god is not a necessity,a question, but a obviousness.and this make me smile.
The celebration of the birth of Jesus Crist. ‘I am the Light of the world! Chirstmas the feast of Joy in Heaven and Earth.
In every religion it has a similar meaning. In Paganism the date was chosen to celebrate the birrh of the ‘true light of the world’. Sun, Light the giver of Life.

beautiful! :D
I’m on my way to happy hour in the swing, where the October sun is still shining, while looking forward to the December Solstice to come.

Beautiful!! The time lapse photography has made the suns form a bridge with an amazing arch. This picture has everything I admire sky, land, and water.
Well i don’t know what this is.. neither do i want to know.. because when we start analyzing the beauty, the beauty of nature is shadowed by the scientific logic and stuff. All i could say is its one of the best shot, because i feel as if Lord is taking snap of that brave tree standing straight and alone on that meadow!
One of the most beautifull pictures seen on your blog.Is the light sparkling real?A natural jewel.Another prove of God mighteness.
“…looking down the Tyrrhenian sea coast from Santa Severa toward Fiumicino.” I never would have guessed that this was Italy.
I spent a summer once, not far from here, in the Maremma: a place my soul would agree to call “home.”
