Dear Readers,
Here are a few photos of the party organized yesterday for the mark reached of a 100 Million Books Sold. During this party I had the chance to meet friends, publishers as well as receive the Guiness Award for most translated living author.
As you know, the photos of those that sent their pictures to the virtual exhibition were being shown - and I seize this opportunity to thank you once more for all the support in these 20 years.
Here’s my way of sharing this magical moment with all of you. The picture above was taken with my friend Gilberto Gil.

CONGRATULATIONS for what you became.You are personification of virtue!I have a need to share something.I have already read all your books,earlier.In last few months I had many things on my mind.Out of nowhere I found something about you on the net.Than everything back to normal for two days.And than comes the dream,where friend of mine gives me something like invitations in 12.10a.m. or p.m,the point is that was the day I had a dream 12.oktober2008.When I get up computer was already on,cause of my husband,with page on newsletters.I choose to read culture part,where was article about Paulo Coelho,with blog addressee.I clicked the blog and saw that you are going to be in Frankfurt’s book Fair.Since I am in Germany for six months I had to go.Today I was present at Blue Sofa,I saw you in person,that was great.I met a librarian from Ostrich,that helped me to get in,since I was not with fir mas,libraries etc.I saw the biggest book fair in the world.I practice my deutsch all day long.And yes my legend reveled to me in full.I could not take a smile of my face,still can t.I don t know how s everything going to happen, at the moment I don t care.I will learn.I did something and universe talked me back.Since I am use to react,this time I will let something happen.Unless twenty seven is to late to change.Love to all!

dear paulo,congrats for your new achievement.believe me,it is nothing compared to your biggest one!it’s something amazing..how do you write those books which echoes reader’s feelings,thoughts,their fears,inhibitions,their inner traumas…at least in my case,i’ve found out as if each successive book of yours which i read strangely grappled with issues or events happening in my life or corresponded with thoughts running in my head at that point of time.something magical indeed..maybe the reason for your accessibility and free sharing of your wisdom is this…the best n most essentialthings in life are abundantly supplied.lots of gratitude to god for you..thanks to you for being a beacon of light for millions…

Our Dearest Mr. Coelho,
CONGRATULATIONS on 100 million! Our 6th grade class is currently reading The Alchemist and WE LOOOOOVE IT! We are writing and performing skits of The Alchemist for our school and we will send you a video of one of our skits if our teacher Ayana says it’s okay! We find it amazing that you have had such a great impact on all of our lives and we thank you sincerely for that. Some of us have learned to follow our Personal Legends. Some of us believe that we have many Personal Legends at different times in our lives. We also believe that the qualities we see in others are qualities that exist (on some level) within ourselves…like crystal…like Narcissus and the lake…Some of us realize that our words and thoughts make such an impact on what we create for our reality because the universe does really conspire to help us achieve what we think, speak… We love you and thank you for never giving up on YOUR Personal Legend!!

CONGRATULATIONS for the guinness and the book fair!
I think I have read all your books that have been sold in the Philippines. When I got hold of the alchemist and started reading I could not stop leafing the pages until I finished it that night. I cried. The words were so powerful that it touched me deeply and made me reflect right there and then. From then on, I could not leave any bookstore without buying a copy of your new releases here. I even bought some for presents.
I thought that you won’t have time to blog. Are you really taking time to read comments on your blog? I am sorry for doubting you but I know in my heart I believe you do have time because you know what you want in life.
I would like to thank God that he has led me to you and somehow He sent you to answer my questions that has beleaguered me for quite a time now.
Your works have been very influential to me. I am living my life on a daily basis now. Thinking of the future and worrying about it has quite turned me nuts! But by God’s grace, I am doing well now. Now, that I know what I want. I am 36, and I hope it isn’t late for me to know what I want in life.
Oh, forgive me. I am just being carried away by my emotions knowing that I’d get the chance that my comment will somehow be read by you.
I repeatedly read “Like the Flowing River”, it inspires me.

Andei lendo a sua recente entrevista polêmica em que menciona Jorge Amado e, por coincidência - se é que elas existem - estava justamente lendo o livro “Jorge Amado - Um baiano romântico e sensual” quando para espanto meu me deparo com um trecho falando sobre a relação do autor com você (pág.200). Destaco: ” (…) É um homem de bem, bom caráter, um escritor com uma vendagem estupenda, o que dá inveja em muita gente que não consegue nem escrever um livro, que dirá vender milhões como ele vende.” A seguir, Paloma Amado continua contando que Jorge se ofereceu para representá-lo na entrega de um prêmio que você recebeu na França e termina: “Assim foi feito, numa festa linda, e papai se sentiu muito honrado em ver o Brasil sendo homenageado através de um escritor de tanto sucesso como Paulo Coelho”. Lendo isso, me perguntei porque outros não podem aprender um pouco com Jorge Amado e ter com você, com seus livros e com suas opiniões a mesma generosidade que ele teve, e que, com certeza, todos merecem?

Congratulations! Iam also a dedicated reader to your books. There is something about the way you write, your words always tech me something new about myself.
But I have a question, because your books is about faith. Having faith to the unknown. Which is something I practise or at least try to practise every day.
Having faith in the world, to the universe. Knowing that everything will be alright…it is sometimes so easy to get tangled in material things and thoughts. Give in to your fear..
There is no quick remedy in having faith.
But I am wondering how do you defeat all those scary thoughts…how do you stop worrying about the future?
I have done a lot of meditation…and I know you are suppose to just let those thoughts flow by..not paying to much attention to them.But sometimes knowledge isn´t enough.
