What a beautiful photograph, I love the moon and the sea! Dancing through the waves, under a full moon, leaping like a ballerina, chasing the glitter, it makes me feel happy.

Dear Paul from Austria, it seems that the South African Scientist has not seen the film the “JAWS”!!! Or has not heard about the “Crocodile”man!! He can very .. easily become … a MEZE for them!![Joking] I think the wildest beast on Earth that needs to be … tamed is Man/Woman.
And you always say … riddles!! Born near .. a Sea! Certainly not … Cyprus!May be .. South Africa!!
Love,
Thelma

sea and the moon….both of them together and a wonderful greenish hue in the picture….so very mesmerising…..this picture reflects tranquility, peace along with all the mystries that the night brings with itself….sea and the moon are so very connected to each other…….
i live at a place far away from the sea….but when i look up in the sky to see the moon… i try to reconstruct the situation of the tides… so intimately linked with the moon…..
a very beautiful and mysterious picture :)

It’s so exciting to contemplate the moon and the sea. Why those two are so atracted? Maybe because one day the moon had a sea of her own? Es muy lindo.

A lovely photo! I am living in Europe and far away from the sea and therefore not having the possibility to take such photos as you, dear Paulo or Monika.

…thank you…..I enjoy it very much!

This is the sight that fills my soul with tranquility, and it draws me into meditation state.

I am fortunate (at least for now) that such view is not rare here where I live, most of winter nights with fool moon are like this….summer ones too but more clear !

How different from last Image of the Day: Signs !

Love
Luce

P.S.
Paulo thank you for drawing my attention to the everyday beauty I take so often for granted !

I’ve never expected to see the sea in this way.
This colour, the same for the sea and the sky, this silance and this light !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For me are the signs of peace, of coming to the same point, blessed by God Himeself.
And the colour itself seems to be ireal, taken from a magic world.
I would like to be there, I think I’ll finally find my place.

With all my love,
Petra

I have a very similar image taken last week: The full moon over the sea reflecting its light on the waves of the sea. I could not resist – I simply had to jump in the water, swimming towards the moonlight, diving through the glittering waves. I felt awesome!
This picture brings my feeling to mind and gives me energy and joy.
Thank you!

Oh dear Paulo, Don’t you think that the sea is simply our nature? I think so!

Water, one of the four elements. It is commonly associated with the qualities of emotion and intuition, the soul and feminity. The menifestation of it are rivers, oceans, lakes, wells. fogs and rain. The elementals of Water are Ondine/Mermaid, Naiad and Sea Serpent/Dragon. The Archangel of Water is Gabriel. In the Gospel we see the baptism of Jesus Crist in the Iordanis Potamos {RIVER] and the symbolism of the Trinity.
In Ancient Greece Poseidon/Neptune was the God of the sea but of the earthquakes and horses, too.
“.. The angry Poseidon….”, Ithaca by K. Kavafis.

This image reminds me about light and shadow.
They are two aspects of the same thing and, at the same time, you can learn both from light (good things), and from shadows (bad things) cause both represent life.
You can also learn from the reflect (i.e. from something that seems to have no connecction with what you want to learn).
for example this moon doesn’t produce light (while the sun does). But even if this planet doesn’t make light, it can reflect the light of the sun and, doing so, shows many things (the rocks, the calm sea, etc.). The important thing is not to leave the path (i.e. the stream of the light) or you could get lost.
have a nice day.
