It was a dream for me since the film ...'Two for road' and I thought since I could afford it to buy it so that I will not be obliged to ..be reborn just for a Mercedes. We go out with our friends, the family is around, but it seems there is much more going on in Paulo Coelho's Blog ..!! Mesmerized?? I sit here so many hours and I ...do not feel the need to go out and meet other people. The telephone too has made us so practical, we say what we want and then we do not see any reason for more.. The fax is also a revolution. It is accepted as evidence now in the Courts!! Then we end up as 'lonely travellers on an island'. But I would like to draw your attention to the aspect that we (the older ones - beyond the age of thirty) have some kind of responsibility toward the younger ones (children, teenager, young adults). We - as Thelma described - know also other ways of communication. We have experienced a life without internet, sms, and mobile phone. We should show our children and environment, that writing letters and reading books have also a right to exist. Besides this, it is important to improve our capability to select, otherwise you are lost in the "world of the internet" and you loose a lot of time. I agree that we should not see a threat in communicating via internet.
