Yes, they constantly are competing,
but I stay calm at peace because my Gardian Angel is ever present all around me

A warrior doesn’t fight with his power, he fights with love for the will of God. He can’t gain or lose so isn’t afraid to give his life.
When we fight for good or bad we stay attached in duality and use the sword with our will…and then I have the feeling that there is no sword but a destroyer of what is…love.

You quite rightly repeated this dear Paulo,
Some of the comments yesterday were way off track and by being frivolous, I am of course partly to blame for that, I apologize.
Implementing todays “WOL” atribute of “Courage” I will endeavour to offer a more fitting comment today.
Perhaps what is meant by this statement is, that both the Devil & the Angel are both fighting for the hand in which the sword that cuts the path free to the light, is held?
Perhaps this means that we have control over our destiny, depending on which of the two we allow to guide us?
So I have opened my soul once more to the lions today, perhaps they will be merciful today ;)

An angel and a devil are competing for our heart and soul? This is what it is all about. Life. A struggle between good and evil. How to separate the two? A mystery. Spend time searching our own conscience in a healthy way, without being scrupulous. However, only a supreme being, God only, can be the ultimate judge. So what are we doing trying to judge everybody else? Instead, concentrate on our own journey. Keep busy walking the good path. Then each one can be a shining star, others want to follow. The devil often gives up on me, thank God.
Even in the last minute before action, our hand has to be quided by the Light. To make the right .. angelic choice, in the name of love.

At first after reading the whole passage I didn’t quite know what it all ment, for me it kinda of hit after thinking about it for a long while. It goes back to the ability man has to make his own decisions, choose his own path. Both the devil and the angel will be there through your whole path, your Personal Legend as you put it Sir (I rather like it that way and have adopted the saying.). The devil disguise itself as a companion offering his help you, he seeks to take advantage of the situation at hand, but he only ever offers his hand when you faulter. The angel on the other hand is always with you, it offers its hand when you truly are in need, but he has been at your side along the way, even though you may have not noticed or didn’t recognize the signs.
The angel and devil both speak the same words, one wishes to help you grow and test your courage and character of heart, while the other wishes to feed off your fears and see you fall.
Hmmm I think I wrote it out right but sometimes it is hard for me to put my thoughts on paper, I guess it takes practice. lol. If anything else comes to mind I’ll have to amend this post.

I agree – we live in a universe of duality, and without the bad, the good would suffer – there would be no need for people to stretch themselves, to be heroes. There is a line in a song by the Smashing Pumpkins – it goes ‘would you believe in heaven, if heaven was all you had?’…..

Devil and Angel are not really enemies, devil cannot exist without angel and angel cannot be if there are no devils.. U know why Zesus called himself son of god and not god himself, because in god is beyond good and bad, on manifest plane when it comes to good and bad, both good ( say Zesus ) and bad (…….. fill in the name of u’r enemy ) are sons of god !
christainity treats life with topo much seriousness, zesus wanted to instill a sense of urgency, but guilty conscious is Church’s contribution to christianity, “all ye sinneres” once u ‘see’ that devil and zesus are both hand in glove to faciliate your jouney from one to another, and finally into that where it does not matter, then u are in heaven !

hola! creo que no compiten….la comparten… y esto no significa que sea destructivo todo lo contrario es reconocer que tenemos tantas cosas buenas como malas y como tales hay que basicamente lograr el equilibrio y asi poder reconoser la verdadera paz interior para poder batallar con una unica espada, equilibrada,el exterior…
I cannot fall asleep, because the little devil in me can’t come down. He cries incessantly at my angel: “Come on, give me the swort, I seek revenge, I want to destroy!” The angel replies very prudential:”Don’t let you guide by rage, you will only damage yourself in the end. Calm down now and don’t spend your energy with destructive thoughts.”

I dont think its good to compare mother and daugher. AT least I know I am different from my mother (which I love to death). We are different in the beginning because our expericences are way much different. Raised different and loved different. What I do know, is that women should see how the man treats his mother, It could be the way that he will treat you!!!

But, dear Hildegarde, I thought that it was men who never knew if they were the … fathers!! Nowadays with the DNA test no one can be ..’fooled’.
And dear Paul, if we want to see whom we are going to marry, we should have a look at his… mother, who has moulded him !!

thank u… all that made me laugh.
i think the devil is real, but angels/good/God is even more real. and the more attention we give to one, the less the other affects us. the only problem is if we want to get sth back from the devil. then we need to risk swimming on his side for awhile. and without really cool communities from the heaven side, that will be hard.
praise God for the loving, living & thriving communities in the world! :)

I once got an advice; ‘If you want to get married, find a good man’. Your quote made me think of how the little things we do and say in a relationship every day, make such a big difference. It’s all those little things that build up a man and a woman, those little good things. (Probably a bit off the topic, but what the hec :))
