Children learn mathematics!! 2+2 =4, 3+3=6 e.t.c.
There is a ‘Cypriot quote’ : ‘Three pounds costs [the litre] the oil and three pounds the vinegar. The oil+vinegar costs six pounds the litre!!’ Meaning how people forget how to count when it comes to making profits.
The stock-market is something I do not understand. There was a big crash in Cyprus in 1999! There was a fever, everybody buying shares, everybody thinking that they will be rich in a short time. The easy money was the ‘dream’ of everyone! I could not understand how everybody could ‘win’ and how companies that were in the doorstep of bankruptsy could ‘absorb’ money from innocent people, who had put their lives’savings in that …gambling-game! They have called it the scandal of the century, but until now nobody was punished and it seems that the ‘legal system’ helps fraud and ‘pyramids’!
It is like a card game, it is not possible everybody around the table to ..win. It is pure logic and mathematics.
Love,
Thelma
