  • I believe that I can see the 7th, but in case my eyes deceive me, it way also be that they (6) are standing on the back of one… he ain’t heavy, he’s my brother (The Hollies ;)

Here’s a wonderful song by Elton John & Pavarotti & Friends about us one day possibly living like horses…

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zw_gEpGqnqQ

    Here’s the last refrain;

    Someday We’ll live like horses
Free reign from your old iron fences
There’s more ways than one to regain your senses
Break out the stalls and we’ll live like horses
    Someday

    Liberi dai ricenti di ferro
    Che piu non voglio
    Rinnegare i sensi
    Su dai fuggiam
    Vivrem comme cavalli

I hope that all of you out there can associate with this beautiful song & it’s lyrics by Bernie Taupin & Elton John… Love, Paul

  • Fernanda Signato Marques

Muito interessante… Evidencia o como cada um de nós tem um ponto de vista diferente do outro… Se juntarmos todos os pontos de vista acima, daria uma ótima discussão sobre o quadro.
    Muito bonito, adoro cavalos.
    Carinho,
    Fernanda

  • Once, in the desert, I came upon a herd of spotted ponies, much like this. It was winter – their fur was thick like feathers. I watched their breath in gray puffs, smoke signals rising in the crisp blue air. For a moment, they stood absolutely motionless, watching me, with ears pricked. Then one snorted, and in a cloud of thunder they were gone. I watched them until they disappeared beyond a distant mesa. When an eighteen wheeler rolled by on the highway up above and honked its horn, the trance was broken and I turned back, up the hill. I could have been standing there for five minutes… or fifty years.

  • I love horses. In chinese horoscope I am a dog.Dogs best friend is horse.I remember from Gullivers trallels the part on the island of horses, pure, honest creatures. The number seven might remind us the days of the creation ,the seven messengers from Borges,or Buzzattti?not remember well.Is a sacred number.I think it shows the melting of earth and divine.

  • i can only see 5. i’ve tried to focus on the land, then at the snow and a whole lot of different angles…but i can’t find the two? maybe there are only five subjects of the painting the sixth is the painter and the seventh horse is the viewer… are we missing anything? mr. coelho pls do tell… ;]

  • Gestalt – Similarity.
I could not find the … seven horses!
This principle is used for army purposes and in the ‘hunting’ uniforms. Nature also has endowed some species, in the plant and animal kingdom with this … property for their survivor.
    The wisdom of Creation.
I think, we, human beings, use the same ‘technique’ sometimes for …surviving reasons, as well!!
    LOVE,
