If a memory burns your mind once, its best to dispose of it permanetly.. the most difficult task is doing this when the memory consists of those who were once close with us. We need to remind ourselves that a wound has shaped our new self being reborn each morning, ending the day only with experiencing something new or acquring new knowledge.. thus allowing us to keep all the good things that allow us to reach for more in life and my god just smile! we have survived this moment and breathed in new air!
Sometimes is better put appart some thoughts and feelings.
Hello,
It’s about our own ability to detached from unuseful or poisoning emotional memories and keep walking. Some people like to suffer and keep all rubbish in their soul, they like to ask r to be given compation (I have some examples in my family and friends group). They like to be listen to and care about.
But if you want to be a really “clean” and “shiny” person, you have to replace bad emotional memories with positive, constructive and courajeous new ones.
When I am down emotionally,I read Psalms of David,or have a chat with a “tonic” friend,or watch comedies on TV,or take a looong walk arout into cold air,or just shop something.
Important is to try replacing bad emotional memories with fresh and positive ones.To just throw away the poison from my inner world.
But o be able to see what is poison, and what is not,we should first of all have a talk with ourselves,as honestly as possible. And do not judge ourselves too hard.We are programmed from birth to be good people. Good people do mistakes sometimes. So what? That’s how they learn. It’s exctly the same way you lear that fire burn your fingers if you touch it…Isn’t it?
All the best
I think that our subconscious takes that role, whenever we need protection from our own self and memories, that may hinder our way. Sometimes we are in need of remembering ‘emotional rubbish’, just for protection of not repeating the same mistakes again, as our dear Paul from Austria said the other day.
Humour and self-sarcasm is also a bright idea for…. humiliating memories!!
LOVE,
Thelma
