Hello sir Paulo Coelho, I like to ask something abou this quote… and probably have you already had many and many useless and tiresome questions about various problems witch probably won’t intrest you at all..but I just want to ask, how do I know that I have found the dream I have to follow to fullfill my destiny..I have already for a longer time the sense that I have a purpose of living… love of course, but I dunno how to fullfill and accomplish this.(Trouble some so it seems) so I ask you, can I check that I’m right.
oh and one more thing, I really admire your work, I just started reading your books. (by the way, might you know where I can find an Alchemist in the Netherlands?)

yes certainly we are the masters of our destinies but the master is sleeping and servants are governing.that y v r in chaos.so only awakened one like a buddha.a jesus a heraclitius are the masters of their destiny in a true manner.

We all have the choice to turn the other cheek. By this I mean deny ill will and harm, and embrace the moment as nothing more than a moment. I think if I do that then my destiny is in good hands.
I agree, but we are not sure what is our destine, therefore we are not satisfied with it. (actually some of us)

We can choose our own destiny. Whatever we will become, it is up to us and no one can dictate it and the things and people we encounter are just guides to help us get where we’re suppose to go.

Esta cita tiene mucho que ver (a mi parecer) con el inventario de la normalidad, la mayoria de las personas nos dejamos arrastrar por la rutina social para la que fuimos educados y con la que creemos que seremos felices, nos da miedo tomar desiciones, nos da miedo pensar diferente y creer en nuestros sueños y precisamente de eso es que nos habla el sr. Coelho; la vida es un libro en blanco y queda ya de parte de cada uno de nosotros escribir cada pagina diaria, ya sea con tinta, lagrimas, sangre o sonrisas. Nadie se preocupa por aprovechar el milagro de cada dia, somos arriados como ganado a un sendero que conduce al matadero de la individualidad.

Yo creo que hay personas a nuestro alrededor que no estan preparadas para tomar el destino de sus vidas y enfrentarlo y tienen tanto miedo de hacerlo que aveces impiden y truncan nuestro camino cuando por alguna razon estamos realizando nuestro destino y tomando la vida con determinación ellas simplemente por egoismo hacen todo lo posible por poner rocas en camino hay que pelear con inteligencia y entereza pero sobre todo con paciencia para que no nos venzan y entonces si empezamos a realmente ser dueños de nuestro propio destino

yes we r, and sometimes we choose to stay with our actual destiny while we know we can change it,,,, but we have this fear,,,,of un certain moments, and some time we choose to just not move a thing and not to take a risk…..
but if we look and see the light in the end of our tunnel,,,,,,we should take a risk and still be our destinie’s masters.
I think that from a certain point of view, Thelma is right…
If you don’t think before any choice in your life, then the choice ‘makes’ you, rather than you making the choice…
Afterall, don’t these choices determine whether we follow our Path or not?…
When I was growing up, I always thought that I understood the general meaning in this quote; but it wasn’t until very recently, that I really believed it. It’s a real difference, and I’m so glad that I found that. Thanks Paulo because you helped me see this. :)
As a Sufi once said ‘your future is predetermined, but the ink in the book of destiny has not yet dried’ .. just a thought ..

i agree that there is great responsibility that comes with this; but really there is no other choice. the responibility is worth the power that comes with it.

Being a master of our destiny comes with great responsibility and determines not only our own fate but that of humankind. It is within our power to learn to be guided and taught, but ultimately we as individuals are responsible for how we approach our destiny. With each incarnation there is an opportunity to strive toward the future with love and knowledge. Mastering our spiritual growth is done on the individual level because we are responsible for the lessons, signs and guidance manifested in our lives. We can simply observe our life or engage it! We set the tone for our destiny and with that; determine our impact on ourselves and humankind. Although we cannot know what the future holds, living in the present moment with our heart wide open and love will allow us to master our destinies.

We master part of our destiny, the part we can play with without jeopardising the entire universe. As for the rest, well, we will get there some day.
