I am a student.I have read some of your books like eleven minutes, the alchemist and the zahir. After reading the alchemist, i was quite impressed by your thoughts and your belief about always following one’s dreams. But when i read the other two books, i felt you are a bit monotonous. You say almost the same thing in every book. I also feel that you have built a utopia in which you live without bothering about what is really happening in the world.Do you really think that following one’s dream always is really possible? Do you not think that fate or the Providence also has a big part to play in our lives, that one, though he wants to, cannot always follow his dreams? Do you not think that you are living in a fool’s paradise and you want your readers also to accompany you there?

I know how important it is not to let your fears bind you…still, at times I am overwhelmed by a feeling that there is little beauty in me. Both physically and spiritually… I don’t feel worthy of love and this really brings me down, for I feel that there is just nothing else to life that is worthy living for… Where does one find inspiration to move on?

I am not sure what my path is, I know only that I am on a path and it will lead me where I need to go, maybe to the path I seek? The journey is as important as the destination, there are lessons to be learnt, joy to be had, a life to be lived. Be wary of fear, but be conscious of your attitude.

I am trying really hard not to be paralysed by fear…But sometimes I just cant help myself. Can somebody PLEASE give me the recipe for blowing fear away in the moments of uncertantiy? Cause I really NEED to believe right now! And I am “believing” as hard as I can!

Very excellent life advice ,few weeks ago,my only be-loved fish was going to die,I pray very hard and saw horrible visions and I was so sad and just stay in the house everyday,but when I saw the slim ill fish still play hard its old tricks to amuse its poor owner,I decided that even I am so strengthless I will go buy some med for it,and also I learnt a great lesson from my lovely friend.I have a pray in my prayer book that God help me free from the fear that imprisoned me,it works times totime when you just put trust and love when you say it heartly.

Dear, dear Paulo!!!! Finally i can thank you for your amazing books. I haven’ read all of them so far, but with each book I get more and more surprised. And get more in love wit your work. I live in Tajikistan and read your books basically in Russian. Though one book “The Zahir” I read in English. Now I am reading “The diary of the magisian”. Agape is close to me. I have expiriensed it in the past. As I was very sick. Now I realize I wasn’t sick I was just close to God and to Agape. Thank you, Paulo!

coraje is the key I agree with u, I am not afraid of risks and i know that only way by throwing my self into the sea of life I’ll get somewere,,,!!!!! and always with a lot of HOPE….
as u say in the book na margem do rio piedra……
we have to take risks thats the only way to understand the milagro of life… when we let the un predictble to happen!!!!!

Paralysed is also a Greek word. Παράλυτος is the one who cannot move.
We must not let our fear make us unable to move.Lack of energy. So we must let our Spirit and Mind energize our material body. To continue walking on our path against all odds and with faith and love in our heart.
