Today’s Question by the reader : Livia

by Paulo Coelho on January 19, 2009

What do you dream of for the future, on a personal level as well as for humanity?

My dream for the future is to live the present. It is only through one’s presence in this world that things can truly manifest themselves. I believe that unfortunately too often men and women are absent from their actions and caught up in their fears, illusions and desires. One just needs to focus in the present moment and understand that the simplest things are the most extraordinary ones. With this knowledge everyone can first change itself and the world would simply follow.

This is a really good blog. I have been back several times within the last seven days and wish to join your feed using Google but find it difficult to work out the best way to do it very well. Would you know of any sort of instructions?

” live, life, love” thats the motto to go by no matter who you are. some people take life more serious then they should be.

I use to be skeptical about psychic readings until I went to a psychic myself. For all those who are still skeptical, I would recommend to give it a try once.

I try and tll this about life to my son. What he wishes to be will not just happen, he has to use his blacksmith skills on himself now, forge himself everyday into the shape he wishes to be, for him to leave the best possible footprint for tomorrow, for his children to learn from …. you are always an inspiration. thankyou

The present

= Never put back the next day what we can make that very day (said to me my grandmother, thank you grandma, I love you)

Le présent

= ne jamais remettre au lendemain ce que l’on peut faire le jour même ( me disait ma grand-mère , merci mamy , je t’aime )

I agree on the idea that we all should live in the present, since what we have today will affect what we will have tomorrow. It’s something hard to explain and it needs a deep thought.
Paulo Coelho, you are a modern day philospher.

The past, the present and the future are terms of the material world in which we are ‘trapped’ in. We live our lives through our ‘mortal’ aging bodies having an immortal, dreaming, soul. We form our impressions and experiences through our senses and ..psychic and spiritual bodies. Each one of us lives in his own world. For some it is a hell, some are already in Paradise. The nearest to the Light we are the more harmonious and beautiful is our inner world. This inner image is mirrored in the material world through our actions, expression and connection with the universe. Our …fruits.
Love,
Thelma

I understand that and that I have to change myself first before changing the world too.
