  • one feels like air….light, courageous and free.
one doesnot have to answer to anyone.
    one feels alone ………feels (al)mighty.

  • “I fear no more for the Mighty One embraces me at all times…”

  • Stillness…in the moment…it is how I feel
    when I just stop. High.

  • Seem a bird,keepong the balace,is pretty brave guy.

  • Dear Ashley, thank you for your Grandfather’s story. You made me smile first thing in the morning here in my country. God bless you all.
    LOVE,
    Thelma

  • The picture makes me think of a man I never met, my Granfather who was a builder. He built steel factories and bridges without a safety rope or helmet, working on the steel frames at the highest points. There were no health and safety laws or officers in those days.
When asked bout why he didn’t have a rope or helmet he replied there was no one but God above him to drop tools on his head.

  • great photo. . . perfect balance. . .true art. . .skill. . .overcoming of fear. . .courage. . . .

  • I love a typo, they say so much more then you thought you knew…..

  • If the mountain won’t come to you, go to the mountain, inherit the win………..and while your there……..strike a pose. YES! lol

  • Tania
It is a wake-up call perhaps?
I have to say I really like black and white photos.
    Love

  • Free as a bird.
Not a hint of wind up there.
It did reminded me of the tarot’s card the Fool too!

  • Alone, Al-one, what?

  • God protects The Fool (tarot)

Dear Tania, that is a good point! X

  • This is what this picture makes me think and feel: someone who is happy, doing something “crazy”, something that most wouldn’t do, because it’s somewhat risky. But it makes the painter himself feel good – because he’s doing what he loves. Maybe even there are people looking up and saying something like – look, what a nut! What a crazy person! But the painter is still smiling – doing what he loves. “Juggling on the rope.” But he’s good at it, and it will get him far. And he gets noticed while doing it.

  • A silent film is what came to mind when I saw today’s picture. During the times when films were black and white and did not have sound the actors would use facial expression and body movements to say something.
This image also makes me think that even during the high point of a persons path there is work to be done.

  • these construction buildings were remarkable men in my eyes … remembering seeing the pictures when i was young – of the towering skyscrapers and the seemingly unreal images of men balanced on planks of wood suspended in air.
it seemed as if they were dancing with death… how could any man not value his life by taking on a job so risky to ones own life… and for money…
but then i thought about the impact fear plays – like a snowball effect… and these guys i guess didnt have or allow the fear to even enter their conscious.

they themselves were frontiers – living on the edge and defining their lives so acutely – where no one else could contest their identities whilst up there… like US frontiers… able to redefine themselves. Independence!

  • This took a while before this picture did something to me. Yes first nothing at all…then when I saw his posture (almost a swastika) and his brush into his hand, the x of the construction…
suddenly a woman appeared, “The statue of liberty”.

  • This is what I call enjoying time by yourself.

  • An observation:
Why are the pictures of women posted until today, about fashion/ posture/ films – unlike the pictures of men which are either doing things or contemplative?

  • No me parece un lugar muy seguro para estar posando como Charlie Chaplin. Demasiado elevado.

  • The painter/actor is so ….happy, confident standing up there alone!! He ‘knows’ that this is just an illusion. A film or a photo and/or with a safety net underneath!
    LOVE,
    Thelma

  • Hi, I’m glad I found your blog.Love the book “The Alchemist” a lot.

  • Suspended in air.

  • Oh It feels so light! it is a delight, flying, painting, singing and still keeping my hat on. Reaching new heights heavens above!
