Well I too get puzzled by reincarnation and have had many discussions about the amount of humans in relation to souls. I like the idea of a soul dividing itself it does go along way in explaining how we have more than one soul mate. I do realise that I am making these judgements from my limited brain function, so I also realise yes there is much that my brain cannot understand but my inner self can.

I like the terms – especially as one tradition I know uses the term “the spark” to describe the deepest part of the soul that is essentially one with the Tao, or all that is.

Now I’m a channel, and so deal with reincarnation concepts all the time. But I don’t necessarily “believe” in reincarnation. What I am will change. What I think of as “me” will die and will never be the same again. So I don’t believe in reincarnation that way. But nothing is ever destroyed. Consciousness and awareness never dies. And there are just so many dimensions to life we don’t know, so many possibilities. So many choices where we can move our awareness. I try to think of it as empowering – that of choices.

E=mC² Even the science of physics teaches us that energy and matter cannot be destroyed, only changed. And, can you imagine that this is the only opportunity we have to enlighten ourselves or to help others find happiness? And, what about the mistakes we all make? Will we never have the ability to make good on those? I’m reminded of the song from “Jesus Christ Superstar,” “Could we start again, please?” And who has not experienced Deja Vu? If reincarnation is not true, please don’t tell me. I desperately want to believe it is true.

what i really want to be one with universe… but now we have to participate. i have moments where i too feel as though i’m in and out. it’s like dissolution of the ego. in fact too much! there are things i found that keep me grounded. exercise, even food that we eat, putting the books down for a while, and also putting the focus back to me. it is necessary to remove your ego to truly see another but for me not a state to be in at all times. i have to have balance to everything.

jessica- you are not crazy, that’s your gift, you can share with whom ever you choose…

in fact everyone here is beautiful and unique. it’s amazing how far the travel is in our mind, in fact it is beyond that…*

Dear Sheela and Paulo
The Bhagvad Gita talks about the one-soul ‘Brahman’ from which all the souls have emerged.In a way, this in itself could be considered as a way in which the soul was divided.

“…that water cannot wet it, fire cannot burn it, the wind cannot dry it and the sword cannot pierce it” — The Bhagvat Gita also mentions that the soul has no attributes, and this goes to explain it in layman terms.

A soul dividing, does not mean that it has been destroyed because an enlightened person’s soul goes back to join the one-soul ‘Brahman’. If this is possible, then division would likely be possible.

acording to my religion (judaism) after death we come again and again to the fisical world,,,, we have to correct things that we didnt do in our past life,,,, and only when we really complete our mission on the fisical earth,,, our soul will not come back but will stay in the eternity world,,,,,,
so my self,,, i have come to this world and still have a lot to do,,,,
and by the way i think i know at least 1 of my last life!!!!!! i feel it in my insite!!!!
and i believe also (as in Brida) that out there we have more than one soul mate, and we reallllly know when we meet THE ONE!!!!

I was thinking about the Light, the Ego this morning….without the Ego, we would not be separate from the Light. With the Ego, we are materialised into existence or matter.

I once had an experience where ‘I’ was a tiny piece of light joined to a hugely gigantic piece, which was also made up of tiny, tiny pieces. (a bit like a huge star system but so compact it was just light)

There was no me/I, until I had to leave it….and then ‘I’ became and ‘I’ was separate, like you say from distance. A tiny, small piece of light made aware because ‘s/he’ was floating in the darkness.

However no matter how small ‘I’ was, ‘I’ was born of the light, and knowing this has given me strength, I know where ‘I’ have to return, where lies home. ( I am glad you say that is indestructible, a huge relief).

This experience has had a profound effect on my life. It was completely humbling,awe inspiring, even writing about it brings an incredible emotion.

Has anyone else had anything smiliar? I was 17/18 when it happened, and I don’t fully understand it.

I had not read any books on it, but something sort of similar was described in a book called Predesined Love by Dick Sutphen.
