What does it matter how he did it. He had faith and courage, and he believed and he risked his life. God is always there, and he always helps. Perhaps in seeing his determination and faith, he directed the course of his actions and made him get stuck in his throat, making it even easier for the man to defeat the dragon!

It’s heroic (though a bit stupid). It is as the candle burns itself to give light to others.

My dear Liina.L, it is very strange really how I am surrounded by .. the Scales ;]. My whole family!! Maybe because I am a … Libra!! ;]
Seriously, I think that Law is something that makes you look at a case from every possible ankle. Since I was a child I always wanted to know my duties and my rights and I have always fought for my rights, because unless you ask you will never get. Especially for HUMAN RIGHTS.

My grand-daughter, when she was only four years old, one day that my daughter was pressing her to go to the theatre and she did not want to go she said to her mother [probably because she had heard me]: -If you press me to go I will report you to the … Police!!

I am glad you said that you will be away to the city for your studies, because we will miss you not comenting here too. Take care and thank you.
LOVE,
Thelma

Thelma: so far I don’t have an opinion about the Eddie case. I just figured there were many ways what ‘could of’ happened there. But actually I understand Your logic – the simplest usually is nearest to truth.

It’s weird how You are surrounded by lawyers then. And there’s one more now – me! Hehe… :D

I once wanted to be a lawyer, but the schooling system in here didn’t support my idea and I let it go. So it probably will be a ‘hobby’. Hehe… although what I am studying now is not that bad either. And I am thankful that I had to let the lawyer studies to pass by, because what I went to study has helped me jump in the river of life. :) So sometimes letting things go can become an advantage on itself.

Btw… sometimes after someone (specific) has not commented lately, I think: “Ok, where is she/he … and what are they doing, are they ok, I wonder.” It’s weird how I have grown into this blog and I feel like I’ve known some of You here for ages. :) It’s great… (a while ago I was wondering, where is Thelma, but then You commented again, hehe…)

I will be going to the city I study in, tonight, so I probably won’t be posting here so often. But I hope You all have a great week! (Hmm, I sound like an addict… and as Annie said a while ago, people can be addicted by anything. So this is my addiction. But I’m glad it’s a ‘good’ one.)

Love,
Liina L.

Dear Liina.L, I have just used my ‘logic’ and made my … presumption!!
Of course, you can have yours! Usually the simplest is … nearer to the truth.

So you are a Lawyer’s daughter!!! Bingo ! As, dear/est from Austria, would have said!! ;]

I am a Lawyer’s wife for a … thousand years!! One of my daughters is a .. Lawyer and works as a Senior Registrar at the Court. My second daughter, who is just 28 years old is a PH. Doctor in LAW from King’s College London and she teaches at a University in England. My grandson and granddaughter may become … Lawyers!! ;]

I am, as everybody here in Paulo Coelho’s Blog, a humble Warrior of the Light.
LOVE,
Thelma

text from my last posting: I am a daughter OF a lawyer, not a “daughter OR a lawyer” … sorry… these kind of mistakes I have to correct, because the whole meaning can change otherwise.

(THEREFORE: Todays lesson for me: write Your opinion, but don’t be too hasty on posting it. Take time to be sure this is what You meant to write. Grammatical mistakes can change the whole meaning of the text, and at times, even, turn the thought around to the opposite of it.)

With love,
Liina

Thelma: how do You know that that uncle Eddie died in the dragons throat? The cartoon only says that he slayed a dragon – that means he defeated it. It doesn’t say that he died while doing that. That is just a presumption.

There is also a possibility that the man lived on and died of something else, maybe even to natural death. Who knows.
(I am used to being precice and always trying to see as many possibilities to get the wider view – I’m a daughter or a lawyer.)

This last post I made, I did it, to have the idea out that sometimes we shouldn’t come to specific presumptions, when we haven’t gathered all the facts. Because gathering all the facts will help us see the bigger picture and understand things better, maybe even understand ourselves better.

Thelma, I hope You take it in a good way. :) This was not intended as a “stinging” but out of good thought.

Love,
Liina L.

Stuck on you, Back to Front: spooning. Couples spoon when they dance or sleep. I guess her cupid doesn’t understand love. It is after all according to the creators of the cartoon, a Kingdom of Idiots.

I know Candie loves a song. I listen to everyone she posts, this one is for her especially. I read your poetry, it is beautiful. May you find that special someone…..believe.

There are two ways to slay/sleigh a dragon, extinguish one retrieve the other. Fire down below. Of course Rody doesn’t know this.

A horse is a horse of course of course, and no one can talk to a horse of course that is of course unless the horse is the famous Mr. Ed…………. a silly song from an old TV show called Mr. Ed.

Dear Liina.L,
the battle for “Uncle Eddie” was a .. disaster!! He died ‘being stuck’ in the Dragon’s throat!! But the Dragon was dead too from .. suffocation!
A boomerang !!

Hehe, Thelma. :D Yes, (laughing) but even this courage made the situation victorious for him. He did it his own way, maybe not a very popular and not a very conventional way.

Petra Jonsson: I agree… not everything go as we planned, but it somehow works out, and we can be thankful.
Ps! I love Your last sentence, about ‘willingly going’…

Have a nice evening,
Liina L.

Thank you, Paulo, for those cartoons. I really love them! There is so much hidden wisdom and subtle teaching in them – it is a pleasure to learn.

This cartoon here reminds me very much of my own life: Not everything goes as planned but in the end it works out just fine, (maybe a bit unexpected, though).

Was it fool’s luck the guy had? Or was it a miracle granted to a worthy man? Who knows?

It happens often in life, that one does not get recognition for something one achieves if one does not do it in the “proper” way, that is the way other people expects it to be done. But if other people recognize our deeds or not, is maybe not important. Important is that it gets done and that we continue to follow our own path.

And honestly: Who would have the courage to follow the guy’s example and willingly try to do the same?

Terrible thing to do than the one to get recognition from something you didn’t do.This is like the poor guy who has invented alternative sugar, the real one,is living in a motel while all the rest have taken the millions.Injustice happen everywhere, everyday. After it depends of the circumstances of course, wether that person has profound regrets and is really sincere or if it’s just keep on stealing others over and over cause is just a mean person.Sometimes I don’t get human beings,if they need help, why don’t they ask for it clearly?Only money matters for some of them.Hey,wake up,it’s just a piece of paper! Now,yeah we need to get prepared for the worse but the best too.Everything-just-as-the-stars-have-been-saying.If we do good we get good and if we do bad we get bad,but again,it depends of so many things.

Recieving recognition though an accidental happening. Not bad. Not very honorable in most eyes (killing a dragon with getting stuck in its throat), but who to say, that everyone should rise up in honor in the same way. :P

Plus, hmm, maybe it was his strategy in the first place… to give himself to the dragon, get in its mouth and then kill it. If taken from this point of view – he was really smart! ;)

Or maybe just another great “coincidence”.

I could go on and on.

If looked more deeply at this situation: since noone had done this before, in their family (and this had been going on for ages, so to think), maybe he gave up even before trying… and then he got in the mouth of the dragon and he thought to himself: “NO! That is not how I am going down in life!” and he decided to struggle the last struggle. And he did it!

Hmmm… there are many possibilities.

But in the end – he did slay the dragon. And was it that important, HOW he did it. Everyone will remember that he did it, but not all will remember how.

But I bet this lady will. :) Hehe…

Good day, all!
Liina L.
