I can’t read the end of Chapter eight… the links on the blog do not seem to be working…? (added by Mobile using Mippin)
It is interesting – usually, it has been our selves with whom great sacrifices have been made, in order to prove or impress upon someone else our integrity, meaning/purpose, etc etc..
so is it a new thing, of recent trends would you say, that gaining recognition of that sacrifice has to come in payment through something, or someone else?
Looking at the stars walk down the red carpet yesterday made me think of The Winner Stands Alone

Oh! I’ll “promess not to tell”. I have not received any invitation though, Paris is quite big.
I have tried to send a question to you Paulo,I feel the Internet needs to be simplify for people like me. I type the text and when it is time to send it, it is telling me there is an error. Good practice for my typing I guess.
I also had a picture to send you, same problem I get all tangled up with the coma and semi-coma bit, sounds like double-dutch to me.
I am grateful I still can read and write and able to get access to the blog still.

i have read up until chapter 4… i am restraining my self to read the rest of the chapters. what i have read so far has intrigued me it seems like is going to be a great novel. but i just rather wait to have the book in my hands… i will enjoy it more !!

Let me take a different approach. Just suppose for a moment that sometime between now and tomorrow some young girl is going to get on the internet, read this story as written so far, but not be able to get back on the internet to find out how it ends. This is your only chance to speak to her
What would you say to her? Do you care to speak to her? Is it your responsibility to speak to her? Would it be an act of kindness to speak to her?
What do you think the real reason is that this young girl stayed in an abusive relationship?
She says that it is because she loves him, do you agree that this is the whole truth or just a part of the truth?
Do you think that there may be some other reason, that might be hidden from her, that she is unaware exists within her?
Do you think that she told the whole truth?
Do you think that there may be other reasons why she stays, but this is the first thing that popped into her mind, because after all it is ‘potentially’ the first reason why she did get into this relationship, or so she thinks?
Do you think she feels any shame?
Do you think she is just babbling about anything because she is afraid, therefore she really doesn’t have an opportunity to reflect, and says whatever pops into mind?
Have you ever found yourself in a similar situation in regards to this subject, or something completely different? How did you respond?
For all intents and purposes let’s suppose that the girl is dead, will you speak on her behalf, or do you think she reaped what she sowed?
Do you think she reaped it alone, or do you think others participated? Who are those others?

A thought provoking question that obviously I d on have a definitive answer for…
However, I believe Life is Joy and it is The Light of Christ that gives us our very breath and because of his mercy we should be eternally optimistic as we place our Hope in Jesus Christ.
Having, said that…I also believe “Adversity” has a place in a personal refining process and also to allow all to have free will and accountability for their own individual actions actions.

(What is it with men and guns / swords?). But the pen, after reading this, is mightier I think.
It is a very interesting book, Igor the antihero, but these people are poor not rich I think.
I hope it does change worlds, because this needs to be addressed. Even one of my bestfriends who has worked in the industry for years thinks it is totally out of control.

after reading all the comments i can*t wait the day the book will be released in italy …it*s great that here we have the opportunity to read it ,step by step,but i addore the profume of the ink on the pages,oh,how i love the smell of the paper and i don*t want to miss these moments of extasy i have when i escape from the real world and enter in the world of Mr. Coelho.

Different being is sometimes difficult to live and to want to be “corresponding” to the group is seems-t – he value of inclusion.?! In the sights of the society to which we belong…
I remember of my air terminal at the secondary school, where I returned to the system of classic education (after my experimental classes which I had mensionnées on another post) it was difficult for me to be able to include me in the discussions with the other pupils;Their discussions seemed so “basic”(sorry..) with regard to the lived and to the enriching exchanges which we had had previous years (study of the painting in German, the cinema in English, the photo and the reports, the exchanges of ideas in French nothing of a classic education)…
I remember having set up an appropriate system ” to learn not to learn ” to find me ” their levels ” to decrease the gap between me and them, the gap which did not allow me to communicate all that I had in me …a sad year of exchange in class
In the faculty, the difference can exist: super, be one; and be because you are different and because you are not obliged to be in a mould (and where your capacities can be useful for all)…
The school asks too much the individualities to be a part of a “crowd”, and I regret the education which is practised.
The social world, where we evolve, seems to want to frame(supervise) us in the same mould: the same thoughts, conform to the group, not to be too innovative, not too disturbing as a matter of fact…
I like being different and today, I saw it, for example: I smile every day, even in the sad moments (even if we wonder of it), I leave only in the mountain with cramps to feet, in the snow frozen during hours (even if we say to me it is not careful), I go only on St jacques ‘s road in winter ( Even if we say to me: it is better in summer to walk), I pilot a plane, because girl I always have to dream to fly (even if we say to me: it is dangerous, you should make another sport), I learn a sort of kung fu / consideration and the flute traversière in bamboo (even if we say to me, it is too late to learn it), I roll about in the snow with my son and I throw(launch) the snow in rain ( Even if we look at me by wondering), I leave with my son here or there or far (even if we say to me, it is not reasonable to leave only with a child), I offer and I look without precise holiday, I laugh and I saw my dreams as often as possible …and you know why ….because I LIKE that… because that makes me happy and it makes happy the persons whom I make live “different” things (child, parents, friends , relations )…
Feel obliging to be as the others (as I in air terminal at the school or) and to be sad: not thank you
To live, it is to be cheerful, to please, not to oblige itself in, not to run after the money but after the moral values, such as the human values, the friendship and the sincerity, the honor, the love, the simplicity, no lie, to be honest with itself and the others know how to set up everything to allow your dreams to exist and especially to encourage your children to express their own thoughts, and to live their own dreams And to help them, to accompany them.
The fashion is a phenomenon of society…I go into a shop: all the clothes are black or grey, I find that sad, and my surprise surprises those who accompany me because they had not noticed that it is the similar in all the shops and I I want a cheerful, white coat, because I want it, I want of the cheerful and consider I that was not easy ……
Know how to wonder about what is really good for YOU and YOUR family, and not for your parents, your neighbours… it is you who live your life, and your pleasures are your pleasures, and your fashion is your fashion, and your envy to share is your envy to share, and your dreams are your dreams…
Love; yes love you, love the others as you same, like what you make, or change little gifts so that everything is more pleasant…. and make you happy
Be also the child who is in you, with the responsibilities of an adult, follow your intuitions because they are feeder…
A better world begins with a small world which surrounds us.. :-D

I hope this book comes out soon. I’ll try being the first to read this book hehe.. I wanted to thank you. Your books have made me take some important decisions in my life. In a way you taught me how to deal with suffering and even if i keep thanking you for the rest of my life it wouldnt be enough. I have yet another question to ask you, If you have to choose between the two pillars of your life, what would you do then ? It is a very painful dilemma for you have to hurt or destroy one of the pillars and you love both equally. I know this sounds quite confusing and you might be laughing at my question… but recently i tried following my dreams, i had faith in them but i am afraid it might hurt the people i love the most. 2ndly, i am having a hard time believing in myself…and it hurts when you can’t believe in yourself. What if i cant make my dreams come true? What if i hurt people? What if i ….there are so many what ifs… I hope you understand.

I truly think that Igor is the real “matador”.
The “male perfume” wants to regain their youth so they have to go with the accessories provided at the time. Accessories keep their eyes closed too, however keep their eyes open on the big “One” by the look of it.” How much can I resell it for?”
The “female perfumes’ are the ones whose toy-boy walk the poodle and talk profusely in coffee-bar how they had to make love to Mona Lisa with a blanket over her.
They are the ones with the big layers of jewellery all across their neck – the more they have – the more it hides the wrinkles – occasionees par trop de soleil – crocodile skin after spending too much time in the sun – We’ve got keep that “hale” (sun-tan) going, well, it comes a day, when it is really gone…..Mona.
And the rings, the rings, oh! let us not forget the rings: adorned all over our little manicured hands, big shining things , they are a beauty – For people to concentrate on, instead of the face , who knows? -
Add with that the journalists…Essential to bring the show to his climax.
Oh, this is a world full of intrigues, I can’t wait to read the next chapter, Paulo.
