I think I just said good bye to someone. Perhaps for goods, perhaps for some time, I don’t know. Because I don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow, or the next day. I don’t know whether I’ll still be around or not.
This situation makes me sad. Because it’s a good person who is now in not such a good place and this makes her feel communication to be harder than it actually is. Or at least this is what I feel about the matter. It is too hard for her to surpass the difficulties, to struggle to get to the heart of things. And that is, in the end, fine. I feel that in life one should fight for what he wants, because the right thing, the Truth let’s call it, may be hidden under the mud just like the lotus flower; but this is me. For other people, the Truth has to be in front of them, natural, it has to come smoothly and calmly, and without obstacles. And I have to respect this.
But, again, I have the right to be sad. Because I don’t know so many good persons. And because life is short, and maybe we don’t have the time to leave things hanging… But it’s not my choice to make. It’s out of my hands.
And this is, I think, the lesson here. Everything that has a beginning, also has an end; sooner or later events unfold towards this end. And some things, we just can’t control…

Thank you for allowing me to post this here.
love,
Andreea

I don’t know what to feel right now.I just read something in a public forum, about one man being pounded on for just talking about bible. He just was saying how God created men and earth and so on.And just gave his thought about bible and so on.But i was so surprised to see how people treated or reacted to him. They all said,oh stop your nonsense get out of here, and they even say we believe all gods and religion and we go to pray to temples church and so on.They all stated that they all respect god and humanity but they were making fun of the person who has just stated his view about creation. They even went to the extend saying that,i will used jesus words to use as toilet paper to wipe my A**.I couldn’t tolerate it.Why all people say that they all respect others relgion and gods and their faith and when someone just express ,his view everyone cricticize him without even debating well.I want to ask people here if they read this.Should i have kept quiet and let him bully the other man just coz he stated his view. They all laughed at him saying oh here come the nonsense and so on.And they even said what will ur naked god do and i like his 6 pack and use all the disrespectful words publicly.
I know even if God would know the real truth he will never say thsoe things to hurt someone’s belief and faith.
I know i could have just ignored but i had to tell him that he should let others have their own view but should not criticise like that.Did i do the right thing asking him to stop doing thta? What do you think or i should have ignore saying ahh thats not my religion and not my god ,like other people did. What would you do if someone else go to that extreme. If you don’t like something and someone’s religion then this is how we should behave??

Yes, I do believe in prayer, because I believe in energetics. Everything is energy and therefore through energy we can communicate. Prayers are dreams in dreamtime. We as the star stuff wishing on stars for greater actualization. Each time we pray we are closer to a healthier cosmos. Compassion deep reverence for a universal good.

Here is one of my poems from 1996 called “Unio Coniunctionis”.

Sheathed in translucent silk baring your beauty softened
you appear before my eyes a phantom
Shadowed and erotically luminous in the light glowing
from our joint soul

Your eyes, glowing sapphires, filled with a promise of passion and hinting of magic and mischief
Eyes that invite my soul to a dance, to feast in communion.

Bending the texture of silk, your breasts, perfect
nourrishing me with their milk, your tenderness and love

Aureoles encircle fountains that feed both body and soul
aching for the tug of tongue and lips
and the kisses of need.

Framed in the strength of body
erotically alive to my touch,
the birthplace of passion and the human race
A place of mystery, shadow and magic.

Within your depths, this homeland of the soul, I am reborn
Reborn in love, a love child, a loved man.

Your centre, a warm hearth that embraces,
melts denials and banishes shadow
Life … creation … love flows as warm nectar
in moist union of spirit.

Thus two become one
and the universe is complete through the communion of souls
A sacrament of love between ghosts
A song between soul mates.

Hi Paulo,
I pray everyday and when I do, I feel that I am talking to God, sometimes I complain, sometimes I am very thankful that things have turned out as I had prayed for and at other times I am just scared. But I feel God always listens, and has a lot to say to me.
For me, it is one time in my daily routine that I can call my very own. No masks and no pretence. If we all pray together for the world to be a better place, I think it will happen. Thats all. Your books have changed my life,
Thanks,
Shanta

This morning after teaching my 7am yoga class I was reminded of the power of conscious breathing.

This particular class we focused in on two different pranayama – Kapalbhati and Agni-Prasana. The effects of the class on us – physically, mentally, emotionally and energetically – were turbo-charged simply by adding in these pranayama.

So simple, so powerful.

Every day we breathe, taking for granted the life that it gives us. Yet the breath is the key to life. Without breath, we are no longer alive. When we begin to consciously work with our breath, we begin to consciously work with our life. We wake up – to ourselves, to the moment, to life.

And what a magical thing that is!

Namaste,
KL

Spring: Mountains will rise and fall, lands will split and valleys they will create.Nature will cast its glances across landscapes and flowers will bloom; white, pink and red.

Travel: Man will travel; both you and I. You will search for new lands, for new people, for new languages and for new existences. In your footsteps, you will leave old experiences and create new ones. Let your life throw you off balance, let your life dazzle you and laugh at you; let you experiment and play. In your travel, search for lessons always. So that when you return, you return a new man.

When you take flight, spread your wings and be amazed of how life has changed you and how you will change lives one day.

Hi Paulo
I’m reading the Alchemist and although I’ve read lots of your books I’ve never read this one – I now know why, I wasn’t ready. I can see so many similarities in your story to things that have happened in my life and it has given me so much food for thought. This morning this thought came to my mind “in order for one to realise one dreams, one must first realise one’s dreams”. I don’t know if I’ve read that somewhere or not, but now it makes perfect sense. I know what my dream is but I keep getting caught up with other things that make me lose focus on my dream. I enjoyed your prologue to the book and I will read it many times and discover much, much more. Your words have inspired me, thank you so much.
Nina. (added by Mobile using Mippin)

Eda Rios, thank you also for sharing that story!

I will soon enter medical school, but believe in the incredible power of prayer. There is always something we can do to help – pray. And the more heart you put into it, and the more people praying, the greater the effect, I’m sure! Knowing that people are thinking of you in times of difficulty can make a huge difference. And in today’s rough times, I think we all need to know we are loved and are in each others’ thoughts.

My prayers go out to all of you :)

-Tomas.

Mr. Coelho,

I have been an inspired fan ever since I first read The Alchemist. Your stories have made a giant impact in my life, although I often wonder why. Is my life that complicated that I rarely realize its simplicity? I have started meditating again, in attempts to “quiet my mind” and wanted to let you know how much your words help me. I don’t really consider it prayer but I believe both are of equal importantance. We all have the power within us to do anything, but overcoming fear is the hardest part in achieving that. Great words Liina L, thanks

Feel great today, peaceful,I have butterflies in my stomach but I don’t know why, been listening to music the whole day, still listening to something I don’t know what it is,some blues,I let it pick up what it wants,it’s kind of funny and cool,so you can discover some music, the machine is into blues at the moment, why not?I had a song in my head for 5 or 6 days now,I don’t like it much, but it’s been haunting me and today I listened to it maybe to exorcise it,lol or perhaps it will get worse! It’s that song:”Sorry seems to be the hardest word”,go now, lol.Anyway,I wish you all to have a great day,for those who are sad and broken?i wish for you that things will get better for you soon.

Love

Eda Rios: thank You for sharing a miracle with us. And I agree – if You do it in Your heart and open Your soul, almost anything is possible – the world will shift.

Believe, and it will shift.

All the best,

WHAT WE HAVE ARE ONLY PRAYERS. SO pray also that our prayers will be answered. If not then, maybe it wasn’t meant to be whispered on a prayer

My mom use to tell me that Prayers are the most powerful form of worship. They are OUR ways to comfort ourselves when nothing else works. I want to believe that IT DOES work because if it doesn’t then what am I LEFT TO DO? what AM I left to hope for? What last resort or string of HOPE can I hold unto? The answer…… Nothing I guess, because THERE ARE MOMENTS IN LIFE WHEN YOU CAN’T EVEN RELY ON YOURSELF AND MUCH MORE FROM OTHERS……

Yesterday Steve Martin wrote a letter to a high school in Oregon offering to fund the production of his play “Picasso at the Lapin Agile” off campus after the play was banned by administration following a petition by parents. To what extent are we still dealing with censorship in the United States under the name of “inappropriate material”, or any other means?

Greetings,
Prayer is abstract when the the people are saying one thing and thinkinga another. I pray everyday ay dawn and feel the esence of that communucation / I recieve a sign or an answer to it. On Mondays a group meets in my house and we pray , first asking the presence of the Holy Spirit and then using energy to work with whatever problems need to be solved. We use the violet light to work and also reiki at a distance. It is the way the energies are joined together and focused towards the whatever needs there are. Last week we worked with a cancer case and the Doctor told the patients, you must have a lot of people praying . because the tumor is not present and it appeared in the studies…So, in my humble opinion… If you pray with your heart and soul…the universal energy will get to where it is needed!!
Blessings,

Dear Mr. Coelho, this is a very generous idea. I’d like to share a post from my blog.
On glasses. Tilted or rolling around. But different. Same with people. Have noticed that the more different one is, the number of people who disapprove of him or her increases. Luckily the same is true on the number of people who don’t. Same with glasses – http://tzvetkova.wordpress.com/2008/07/15/on-glasses/
