I would be interested to know what one word you yourself could use to describe the common thread that links all your images of the day.
The common tread that links all the images of the day is in the eye of the beholder. Sometimes not revealing the Ariadne’s thread leads us towards a much richer maze.

Yes, dear Orly, but in Legal language, when you do not answer it means that you …. accept!!
So with my children, whenever I was asked for a permission to do something, instead of committing myself with a Yes or No, I used to say we will see!! ;]

there is a say when u dont speak or when u dont say u say a lot -sometimes!!!!
and its true – we all have to leave some space of NO WORDS,,, so the other would have some thoughts, imagination, the yes, no, maybe!!! and it gives to the life’s picture more sparkles!!!
In creative writing classes – both as a student and as a teacher – I never ceased to be amazed at how many diverse and yet equally profound and moving responses can come from a single prompt. And if I stand in front of a class of twenty, write on the blackboard five seemingly unrelated words – tree, homeland, hunger, blue, tiger – and ask the students to use these in their writing assignment, each student will discover a unique and exciting way to link these to form a cohesive thread that holds together a poem or a story. But, if were to say instead, “I want you to each write a poem or a story about a hungry blue tiger sitting beneath a tree in his homeland,” then I would be robbing them of half their imaginative capacity, binding them to follow my train of logic or associative thread. And that capacity to make associative leaps (not particularly based on logic or formula) is, in my opinion, one of the greatest aspects of human creativity. That is where the soul (as opposed to the intellect) wells up in all artistic and creative endeavors.
Thank you, Paulo, for leaving us free each to take his or her own flying leaps, beyond logic, into the realms of the spirit. Speaking for myself, your open-ended invitations lead me to places that perhaps I would never otherwise think to go: nether-realms where spirits-bared dance and prevail, and the harsh shadow of linear logic never dares to follow.
Sincerely,
Savita
The disciple goes from weaving to viewing, the MASTER-from viewing to weaving.
Is like brain storming.
I agree.Few times we say almost same comments. The most of the times the reactions are as many as the persons who participate ,each filter
the information through its own mind ,so a wide range of ideas shows up.
Every day is a new day. Every person is a … Universe.
The deeper, we go into the … Labyrinth, the … longer the Ariadne’s thread is!!The secret is … not to allow it to .. break!

That’s a suprising and great answer ;o)
It is quite true – having purchased a print of a pencil drawing of an African woman’s head profile – the reasoning why I HAD to buy the image has changed over some time and with an improved perspective.
Art is about interpretation – but I always wondered if the viewer is ‘supposed’ to know what/why/where the artist is coming from.. LOL.
From the recent images of the day – favourite artists; I would say that each of the images (not accounting for who the artist was and what they represented), for me, incline towards a sense of freedom – in all its states.
Thank you ~
