There is another online bookstore in Cyprus. With lots of greek books to choose from .
Dear Thelma,
I hope one day, the HOPE will become reality… I am waiting for that day to come.
Thank you, atleast there is someone who believes in my ability.
God bless you !
and
God bless you all !
I started to read last night The Winner Stands Alone, and I have to say it is brilliant. A damning indictment of the fashion and film industry.

Coincidence: Published to coincide with the film version of Veronika Decides to Die?
Synchronicity: The day after I picked up a copy of The Winner Stands Alone, I turned on the radio and found myself listening on BBC Radio 4 Thinking Allowed to an excellent discussion of an exhibition illustrating throughout history status and rank, wealth, poverty and inequality through the visual arts.
Thelma, I am from Canada. I understand the comment above from Paul From Austria now…you do have a bookstore in your home. Enjoy your day.
I just picked up a copy in Guildford.

I had hoped to find a nice display to photograph, but sadly not. The book was not even on display, I had to ask, but luckily for me, they had a copy in their bookstore.
I have to say the cover on the Greek edition is nicer than that on the Englsih edition.
Question is, do I read it now or do I resist temptation and save it for hoilday reading next month?
It is a nice sunny day. I may just go and sit in the Castle Grounds and read a little now.

Dear Deny,
the book has already been release in Brazil under the title : “O Vencedor está só”.
Abraços
Paulo
Thanks Thelma. The cover looks beautiful.
Had a look around the bookstores, still nothing about your book Paulo.
Keep :) : )
Thank you all for admiring … Paulo’s Books! ;]
Dear Annie, the photo was taken with the permission of … George, my tenant! What about traveling to Cyprus and meet your .. virtual mother?
Dear Carolena, I like taking photos! Do you need an .. assistant in your team?
Nancy, if you ever come to Cyprus [where do you come from?], I will be happy to meet you. My flat is just above the … bookstore in Limassol!
Dear Santosh Kalwar, I would be happy to take a photo of your books when HOPE becomes a .. reality!
What do think, dear Paulo Coelho, of visiting Cyprus and arrange an ..informal meeting of any readers may want to come? It seems that Cyprus is the … center of the World! The beautiful Aphrodite’s island in the crossroads of three continents, as I have learnt at school!!
LOVE,
Thelma
Congrats Paulo!
Thanks Thelma!! I was thinking of taking a photo the day I picked up my copy as it looked so nice in the window, but I didn’t know at the time it could have been shown here.. I always enjoy seeing all the different types of cover from each publisher.

Thelma, nice picture. I feel you have taken me to Cyprus, because since reading Paulo Coelho’s blog I have been dreaming of going to the countries of the readers. Cyprus, Brazil, Austria, Sweden, France…just to name a few. Maybe by chance I would meet the readers too!
That is a NICE cover.
Thanks Thelma!
Tomorrow I’m going to pick some up! It is releasing tomorrow here in LA. April 7th. I will take my camera! (I better not forget!)

Colour-coded.Every country reads the book in its’ own colour. My country didn’t disappoint me.But,no woman on the cover. It creates some kind of tension.Like a story, which should be continued..
Dear Barbara,
the book is coming out in Italy in September 2009
Love
Paulo
Thank you Paulo Coelho and ..beautiful Paula, for sharing it.
Yes, dear/est Paul, I feel lucky with a bookstore near me. Before it had been a Bank, the temple of Evil, money!!! ;]
LOVE,
Thelma.
p.s. When you visit Cyprus, you will have a look at it, and buy …some Greek books.;]
Really nice. But,I am not among the countries mentioned.I know I can read it here, but my eyes get tired much sooner if I read on line than if I read a real book.I am looking forward to see your new book in my beloved unique country.Love and Peace, Alexandra
Hi, thank you for all contents of this blog. I would ask you if you know the date of release of Winner stands alone in Italy. Thanks
Really cool Thelma to have taken that picture :)
Oooo, I like that cover! What a shame that we are so prudish here in the U.S. The human body is a thing of beauty – what a pity that we have to treat it as though it were something to be “ashamed” of, something to keep completely under cover at all times.
