Hi Paulo! Atma Namaste!

- The Agony of the Reborn -

This is a little bit sad, but it’s what the drawing seems to be to me.

Beijos and blessings to you!
Kisses and blessings to all!

The right hand is pointing towards the number 11 , the letter W.
Do the numbers represent the year calendar? the musical instrument is to make an announcement perhaps? Learning a new language.

PS, i’ts strange but my interpretation is similar to Rosa de los Vientos. (I just read it).
CG Jung would say that this is the “Big unconscious”, the “Anima Mundi” came out.

Life is a circus and our destiny’s full of strange things.
But the “human pyramid” still stands up and support our dreams.
That’s magic!
Have a nice day.

I find the picture fascinating, the more I look at it the more questions I have.

I get the feeling that the man on top of the globe tries to fly. He seems to be so sure of himself, maybe because he has managed to subordinate the beasts and make them sit on his shoulders? At the same time his facial expression seems to be naive. Will his wings of beasts really carry him? I doubt it.

And then the flowers who grew in spirals upwards and are now right above the flames without being burned. Instead, they seem to be drawn to the light. For me, those flowers symbolize real strength, whereas the man on the globe feels more like an illusion, like in a circus.

What is it at the base of the candle holders? Is it human faces or lion heads? I cannot make it out. Why are they at the bottom? And there the number three appears often (three heads, three levels of the candle holder, three markings on it…) As a Christian, my first thought goes to the Bible: “Love, hope and faith” or the Holy Trinity. Is there another meaning of the number three?

So many things to discover in that picture. May we know the name of the artist? Or a little bit more about the picture’s background?

Love,
Petra

The Cosmic Joker In Descent, to the universe and its rules, I like this picture, the symbol Taurus belongs to earth is apt where his feet are about to land.

The wolves/jackals are like wings, the fallen angel… being spun to where?

This is the aftermath of the first picture.

He has created his world.

Or a tarot card. The world? The wheel?Yes I’ve seen the zodiac signs on it.There’s an element of the judgement card too behind. The two men remind of the fool too and if you look t it,lots of things are by two here.Could discuss hours about it.Really inspiring.

I see a man who appears to be delusional. He’s on top of the world, but only because others have lifted him to that status.

The candles also, Thelma! And flowers. Symbolism behind them.

Strange feeling…

The map of Destiny! The hours[time], the letters [name, numerology], the astrological signs, the Sun, the Moon, the Planet Earth.. There must be more things and meanings to be hidden and revealed. The Alchemist.. The Wolves??? Why?
LOVE,
Thelma.

Why not even a small hint? You make us think, and struggle to find the answer. For me is similar to yesterdays draw,in some way.We can see the world, artists, time, beasts.Guess we might speculate on The world seen as an stage, and we are all artists, playing a part?… Than ,the candles with the plant moving towards the sky can be sort of axis mundi,a link between the visible and invisible world,or sky-earth.I see the signs of zodiac on the globe, that maybe to indicate that is a whole universe? The wolf tamer is the master of the Time, being able to turn the time to and fro.Ok,I guess is about the possibility to elude time space through Art.

Looks like antique clip-art from some old magazine or newspaper – advertisement for a circus coming to town. But what a circus that must be! They don’t hold the globe up – it floats! Even the man up top doesn’t stand upon it – he hovers, feet never touching the orb below. The earth itself imprinted with the sun and moon and all the stars and planets of the heavens. And behind – a sort of diviner’s compass. Instead of pillars, two candles, burning. Five flowers. No, this must be more than an advertisement for some ordinary, earthly circus. The symbolism is too bizarre, too rich.

My favorite part – the man up top who appears to be a wolf-tamer of some sort. Lion-tamers, I have seen before; even snake-charmers. But any man who has the ability to seduce a wolf to do his bidding is no ordinary man at all.

When this “circus” comes ’round, I’m definitely going. In fact, if I were going to run away and join the circus, this would be the one!
