Here is a question:
where from can one get the patience not to act before the right time?

And how can one accept and deal with the "waiting" part of his life without loosing faith ?? and moreover find the pleasure in waiting ?

can anyone help me with answers ?

Life is always a matter of waiting for the right moment to act.-I have a question regarding this thought. If is it always a matter of waiting for the right moment to act, if one is always scared, how does one know if the right time is now?

hia paulo !

was my submission yesterday on this topic somehow missed out, anyway the content of that message has travelled and been put to use ( see somehwre u speak of non verbal communication, what would its equivalent be in terms of internet ).

ain't life about balance between action and patience, betwenn all opposits ! yes all events in life are designed to 'teach' us something, if u continue to not get the message, the intensity of evnts may go on increasing !

but there is another school of thought to it, paulo was told by that ghostly figure to write and he was also informed that paulo would do well as a writer, now where that fits in. many a times we feel that we are doing this or that, but it is actaully happening, both action and inaction, fame and shame, we are just a witness !

I couldn't help but agree with Juliane, in order to act on the 'right' moment, we have to be attentive to our inner voice, that which is 'divine within us.' For countless mistakes have been committed because of acting on a seemingly appropriate moment---ut with horrendous results. Charge it to experience I say, live life without regrets but never forget the lesson.

Life is life and if we are acting in the "wrong" moment, maybe next time we ll be more attend to listen to the inner voice, but it is learning by doing and acting. The wisdom to act in the right moment is growing by all colours, life is giving to us every moment, and never give up to try it again.

yes and when it happens- we should believe it is the rite moment- and if we see that it was a mistake and - it was too late or too early- lets try to focus in the possitive side of all- and knowing that maybe one day!!!!!!

"Life is always a matter of waiting for the right moment to act."

If this is the case, then how do you feel about the following:

"There's no better time than the PRESENT"?

I always heard from my mother:
ELena, be patiente... you are always on a hurry and when you are on a hurry, you do things wrong.
I was born with a gift of waiting for the right moment to come and be aware of it when it presents it self.
That right there is patience... waiting for the right moment to act. But i must confess that sometimes I do give myself permition to be spontaneous... let life surprise me, say things that I feel in my heart without thinking... is beautiful

Querido Mestre,

Guess, I'm willing to wait for the right moment if it takes as long as I live, the moment to love and be loved. In the meantime, I see right moments all the time, and just love and get loved a thousand times. I'm not so much waiting anymore, but at the same time, waiting all the time, meaning I'm ready, whenever. I say yes and no to opportunities, depending on if I believe they are good or bad, or at least good enough. The longing is always there, the longing for Holy Hearts...a place we can stay forever, a complete Home.

Dear Savita, if you talk about martial arts, all depends on the style. I have taken part at Karate do, Wing Tsun kuen, Tae Bo. They have different ways of seeing action. In Karate we move fast, directly, an immediate strong answer. In kung fu, the movements are much more for avoiding the attack, and for sparing much energy. Tae Bo more like boxing. Not bad,but is less stylish. I did the exercise you mention, blinded, with my coach. But I had contact with his skin.Is true that after few seconds I was able to guess from which part he will try to hit. That was in kung fu. Well, miss my friends with whom I spend time .Was really a nice company.

Thats the dangerous trap, always waiting for the best moment. We risk that the really best opportunity has already passed, and we lose the chance. We need to take some risks, because in the end we can never be 100% sure of anything.

Life is like a dance, or more than that - more like some form of martial art (there are consequences in the arts of warfare that do not prevail in dance): Timing may not be everything - there are other skills required - but without proper timing, without that keen intuitive sense that tells us the precise moment to act - all the other skills fall apart and are rendered useless. Timing is at least half the battle.

I have heard, in certain martial arts, of practitioners training with a blindfold on. This is to develop the intuition, that very sense of timing of which we speak. With the blindfold on, they cannot "see" the opponent coming at them - they must "feel" it with their other senses, either external or internal. The swish of air as the enemy rushes forward in attack. The sound of feet moving across the floor, translated in the mind as a mental image of the posture the opponent has assumed. Otherwise, simply a sixth-sense that danger is in the air - a subsequent message to each muscle in the body: move this way, or that.

But timing is not only important when we encounter the enemy; it is equally essential in grasping opportunities that come our way in daily life. Doors open and close around us all the time. It does no good to rush against a closed door, banging with clenched first, screaming, "Open! Open!" The great doors of our lives are insensitive to our pleas, whether angry or pathetic. They will open when they will open, and we must be ready. We must wait, like a great tiger poised on tightened haunches - wait for precisely the right moment to pounce. And when that moment arrives, when we make that leap, we must do so with our entire being, we must fling ourselves whole - mind, body and spirit - through that opening. There is not the slightest room for error, nor the slightest forgiveness for hesitation. Impatience, similarly, is an unforgivable mistake, one which the Universe, like a great clockwork itself, will not tolerate.

Life is like a dance, or more than that – more like some form of martial art (there are consequences in the arts of warfare that do not prevail in dance): Timing may not be everything – there are other skills required – but without proper timing, without that keen intuitive sense that tells us the precise moment to act – all the other skills fall apart and are rendered useless. Timing is at least half the battle.

Dear all,

-"LIFE is four letters so is FCUK, LOVE is four letter so is PAIN."

-"Those who wait for the right time to act on their life are doing nothing."

-"Step up and move ahead, life is all about moving on and traveling all along like a bird."

-"Each moment is precious to act, react and keep in tact, all those lives close to our own."

-"Blessed are the peacemakers, politicians, diplomats, leaders, and gurus who are like our house elders performing duty on our request, anytime any moment."

God bless you all !
