I am stuck at a cross roads at the moment. Much like the Robert Frost poem we all know and love; ‘The Road Not Taken.’ Two roads diverged in a yellow wood. Last week out of the blue I got an email for a job as a temporary civil servant, the interview is Thursday week. Yesterday I got a call from a medical device company and I got an interview this Thursday as a factory worker (a job which I am very confident I will get). The problem is that I would like to work for the civil service but I am unsure if I will get the job. Don’t get me wrong, I am not complaining! Any job in Ireland is worth the world to be able to work and earn a healthy living. I will have to attend both interviews and hope that I get the correct job at the right time. But I began thinking, if it happens twice it is sure to happen a third time. So where is the next job offer?

A big thank you to Thelma, B*sofie & Jessica for your comments on the interviews, I’m going to consult the Tarot now after I print off my CV for tomorrow. Actually something came to me there; I started to pray again for the first time in years around a week ago. Thanks for the reiki and sound advice. (I’m still wondering about the job which has not presented itself yet :( )

Some lines that fits my feeling now, a poem by Mihai Eminescu.
And if…
And if the branches tap my pane
And the poplars whisper nightly,
It is to make me dream again
I hold you to me tightly.

And if the stars shine on the pond
And light its sombre shoal,
It is to quench my mind’s despond
And flood with peace my soul.

And if the clouds their tresses part
And does the moon outblaze,
It is but to remind my heart
I long for you always.

Dear Sherry, thank you for your interesting comments.
Dear Carolena, I had thought about you being Armenian. Intuition?? No, the comment about the Armenian Genocide. After that time, many Armenians came to Cyprus [you know the .. Island in the cross-roads..] and brought their traditions and culture with them. Many talented musicians..
LOVE,
Thelma

Hahaha, Alexandra, I have that as well with the French. Use to have it in high school and was quite good at it… but it went… somewhere. To other places where it is more used :)
Nice evening/day everybody,

Love

Sherry,

I really enjoyed reading your post and blog. It is so true what you say. It’s very important to be true to ourselves…

I was, very recently in a similar situation with a loved one.

I noticed you are Armenian… me too! barev, laves??

Today, under the post on the video of Paulo’s interview, their was a response by Jenovia that read simply: “Youtube is banned in Tunisia :(.” This disturbed me, and as I knew nothing of this, I decided to try to find out what I could. Here is a link from Wikipedia that pretty much sums up what is going on in many countries regarding these types of bans:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blocking_of_YouTube

I have to say that I am not really surprised by this, but I must admit also (rather shamefully) that I was not aware of it. I do not keep up with the news as I should. Mostly I don’t because then I spend half of the day with my mind in a state of turmoil. I know that sticking one’s head in the sand like an ostrich, is not an answer, but I also feel that I have to maintain some degree of mental equilibrium. I don’t have television, and the only papers available for sale around here are local newspapers from the small towns nearby. There is the internet, of course, but I find that the news can also be addictive. Okay – so I admit it! – I live a bit like a hermit. I am very sorry, Jenovia that I was not aware of this. Thank you for informing us with your post. It is a very sad state of affairs, to be sure. I hope that this changes in the very near future – a free internet and free access to it is a basic human right at this point in our technological evolution.

hey everyone !

Quote of the day:

Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.
Louisa May Alcott

Such beautiful and inspiring words arent they?

Have a great day doing what it is you might be doing!

love,
Beeba

I am not good with words but better with expressing myself with paintings, is there a way I can give you pictures instead of words on here?

Today I was reading some sayings and quotes. That one might be interesting.

A piece from my latest post “On Self-Compromise”:

…Once again love, not having it, not recognizing it, and anything related to it has determined the course of our lives. When a coaching client comes to this point in their session, they are usually ready to acknowledge what exactly it is that they do want in a relationship. However, the challenge is: 1) communicating that need or desire to the other person; and 2) Being at peace with the consequence of the communication. Communicating our needs and allowing our partner to see us vulnerable and exposed is not comfortable. Finding the courage and the language to speak of our true desires without blame and expectation is also not easy. Add to that the possibility that you might lose your partner for good if he or she cannot give you what you want, or does not want to, makes the task even more daunting. On the bright side, when you do manage to speak your truth without blame, you are free and uncompromised. You are more of yourself, you are more of the person that attracted your partner to you to begin with. This is what we cannot see when we are afraid of speaking our truth, and yet, without it, everything is muddled, unclear, and untrue…

Thanks,
Sherry

Hearing dear Paulo talking in French, I just noticed how much of that language I have forgotten, just because I was not using it. Is a pity, because in high school I had better marks at French than at English. Well, hope that the same wont happen with too many other things. Wish everybody a nice day,
Love ,Alexandra
