Paul made it to Christina’s Exhibition Opening in Santiago de Compostela

Cristina & Paul

I arrived when I was expected… ;-) and I received a most wonderful welcome from Christina Oiticica at the opening of her “Camino Pelegrino” Exhibition of Art at the Igrexa Universidade in Santiago de Compostela…

Such a fitting and wonderful end for my “Camino”… It was nice to meet friends, old & new… Thank you dear Christina… One can sense immediately that your work is inspired by Love… Both You & Paulo show through your fine works… Love in it’s purest form…

Unconditional Love… Big Kisses, Paul

  • I am happy for your wife! I can understand how she feels because I felt amazingly happy when my husband made a gift for my holiday (teacher’s Day)in a form of my personal site!

  • Dear friends,
Many of you will remember mention of my dear friend Monika in the Paul on the Road Bog, and it was to Monika, that I dedicated my Camino de Santiago early this year… she, having been an Angel here on earth… is now at rest with God… she passed away last night…

Here on earth she leaves behind a great void… I take comfort in knowing she has just gone ahead and will wait until our paths meet once more… dear God rest her soul and offer strength to those she leaves behind… but then…

What does death mean, other than to stand naked in the wind and to melt with the sun and… What does it mean when we cease to breath, other than to free our breath from it’s restless balance, so that it may climb and grow, and search for God without restriction…
    Khalil Gibran

Dear Paul and .. friend Monika, for a few months you have been in our thoughts, reminding us what is most important in ‘this’ life: to love and be loved.. As Paul says, you have been already an Angel on Earth. Now you are in His arms, but you are near the souls of your beloved too. Because those who leave from the material world are free from the restrictions of the three dimensional world. You are now in the “real life”..

Dear Monika, i don’t know how else to reach you, but it makes me sad that you left, because people you love and they love you now are sad you are away..So, please whenever you have time, come back and visit us..I am sure Earth is not number one destination for ‘vacation’ but, still there are many many people who love you and think of you….
    Thank you for listening

My Dear Patricia… so I have been told on many occasions throughout the Camino… and thank God that the Camino taught me to just accept this mystery humbly… it is frightening because of the responsibility that goes with it, and at the same time, wonderful because it is a gift from God, for which I am truly grateful… I must now find the way to implement this gift for the good of others… perhaps especially for the children of this world… So it is true what Paulo has always said… “When you really desire something, the entire universe conspires to assist you!” I felt this very strongly on my Camino… and I am so utterly grateful for the experience and confirmation through enlightenment… and through the pure love I felt from my fellow Pilgrims and all those who work on the Camino… Thank you all a million times over… I love you all…
    Humbly Yours, Paul ♡

  • Paul,
Congratulations again. What an accomplishment. I did not follow you on your road, I only read your first and second or so blog, as I felt it is an individual path. But now that you are back home, I read through it all mostly to honor you for having written almost every day.

Wow, you have been through a lot. I am sure it was very meaningful for you, all your encounters. I cannot relate nor does it have the same meaning for me, but one day if I decide to walk the road, I too shall experience it in my own way.

I wish you a great brand new beginning Paul, whatever path you decide to take from now on! We are always on one path or another, and I wish from the bottom of heart that it is blessed for you.

    With love,
    C.

    Dear Bia Pontes,

I took the liberty of translating (well google did…;) your comment so that we can understand it and so that I may comment about it:

    Congratulations to Cristina for conquest!
Congratulations to you two to remain together, are loving.

If I may, Paul, I would suggest to post a topic that is very present in my head lately. “Unconditional Love.”
How can keep the love over time, a couple? How can a party that said ‘love’ go away, and the other part remain loving? Illusion? Mistake? How can something that had everything (including the willingness of the two) to last a long time, it suddenly stop?
    And love?

These are the issues that I see as you write.
    big kiss and admiration,

To clarify any possible misunderstandings and as I do not know you, may I firstly explain that the photo depicts left Christina Oiticica (The Artist… and wife of Paulo Coelho) and right, me, Paul from Austria (el Peregrino ;)

In my accompanying text, I merely endeavoured to express my feelings, having experienced (visualized) the Artwork presented by Christina in Santiago de Compostela. For me personally, Christina’s works project a feeling of Love… unconditional love, is something that never dies or disappears… because it is unconditional…

When the relationship between two people digresses to the point that they no longer wish to continue it, they sometimes say “we have fallen out of love” but I don’t believe that this is true… we can still (I do) love persons we have had closer relationships with, far beyond the point at which we have grown apart or to put it anpother way… developed in different directions…

Paulo Coelho has said, he is married to Christina for over 20 years, but he is no longer married to the same person… this I believe is the secret to a long lasting relationship… and again… love never dies if it was true love in the beginning…

I hope I have interpreted and answered your comment correctly and to your satisfaction…

    Love, Paul (from Austria;)

    E o amor?

São estas as questões que me vêem enquanto lhe escrevo.
    grande beijo e admiração,
    Bia
