Dear Paulo,
yesterday I was reading for the third times Brida, and I was practically at the end of the book when a truth came to my mind:
this blog seemed to me a sort of individual Tradition of the Sun (for those who write and those who read), a way to learn Secrets form Life.
Then I thought you are the leader, that is the Master (not of Folk, maybe of Rio).
I appreciate my thought as a gift from God, and I'm glad to share it with you (Paulo) and with all of you (Thelma, Sido, Paulo From Austria, etc.) a part of my path on this Earth.
Love
Chris

I finished watching the video and clicked on the comment link to find Marie-Christine's translation! Thank you again. Luckily the short video was still fresh in my head so reading the translation created a little video for me.

Reporter - France 3 TV

"Paulo Coelho on the Croisette. It is an event and his fans take advantage of it.
The Brasilian writer is a regular visitor of the Festival. He loves going to the movies."

Paulo Coelho -
"You know a film just doesn't happen like that.
It takes years and years to make a film and when you find yourself here, at the Festival's steps, the world most important Festival, it is, you have to admit, a successful outcome."

Reporter -
"Yet, the man who has sold more than 135 millions books in the world has, for a long time, turn down the rights to have his books made onto the screen."

Paulo Coelho -
"I don't see the cinema as a direct consequence of a book.
For me, I find that the film happens in the head of the reader."

Reporter -
"Paulo Coelho, finally let himself tempted. "The Alchemist" and "11 Minutes" in particular, will soon be screened at the cinema..
..and do you keep an eye on the scenario?"

Paulo Coelho-
"Oh! No, no, no, no.
I reserve the rights for people to go to the cinema, pay for their tickets and say :
"I liked it a lot" or "I disliked it."
because it is true that it is very difficult to show the same feelings that we get by reading a book."

Reporter -
"His latest book, "The winner stands alone" is the story of a man, who during the Cannes Festival accumulates crimes in order to get back the woman he loves.
It is also a book about vanity and the absence of moral ethics.
...Well, then, is the world of the cinema, a cruel one?"

Paulo Coelho -
"If you find it cruel, then, it is best that you don't enter it because things happen like that.
You must never put yourself in the position of a victim."

Reporter -
"The film stars are normally unapproachable, Paulo Coelho, him, the Litterature's star has found his antidote."

Paulo Coelho -
For a writer, there is a need to be in contact with people.
If I live in a bubble, I don't have contact.
If I don't have contact, I don't have a book."

BRAVO!!!!
You are, dear Paulo, walking in Cannes and signing autographs, reliving the atmosphere of your inspiration once again..
Do you have the .. same thoughts again about the System or the World crisis is already obvious there too?
The end of a circle and the beginning of a new one.
LOVE,
Thelma.

I remember in my childhood watching a serial , was" Boulevard Paulista".There I heard first Brazilian language.See how many memories you wake in me.I like your energy, you seem always fresh, ready to do something new.God bless you, good luck in everything you do
