Paulo Coelho

The warrior of light studies the two columns on either side of the door he is trying to open.
One is called Fear and the other is called Desire.

This quote I like a lot.Yes,we are always torn in between of two things… The fear ,and the wish…Instinct is the only one that can help us, so better we learn how to make distinction and to read signs… Aha,like Manuel and the Angel.I think if we really want something we will take risks,as many as required. At least I do.I dont want to lose a chance, so better trying to reach the dream.

Dear Sheela, regarding asking questions for Paulo Coelho, there is here in the right column of the page : Questions for Paulo Coelho.
I think you can send anything you want to ask and we will see what happens!! { I have never used it].
LOVE,
Thelma.

It’s fun…

see Paulo, if the blog were having a search function for the key words, i would search for door and find the association page..
as it is i must run to catch a lift into town else be stranded in a rural village! so I shall have to think all day until back of what the door really symbolises ;o)

The door as opportunity, a pathway into ‘life’ ?

Once my professor told me that men are more reluctant to changes,to new…i did not believed him. He said ,ok we will talk after some years. I must say he was right.Sorry if I may seem unfair, but there are also research data that might confirm that .And the phrase about mantis, just remembered that fact to me.
Love,
Alexandra

IF there are 2 columns on either side of the door, what does the door represent? Between fear and desire, I hope its faith and once opened a swift wind of courage to usher me through.

(Recently, I did read this quote in context on your MySpace page, Paulo, but I am going to ignore that for a moment and take it, as it stands, a solitary statement.)

Fear and desire are the basic driving forces in life, the root of all other emotions. When faced with a choice between the two, it is always preferable to submit to the influence of desire, rather than fear. Follow you desires – have no fear! This is the essence of faith.

Love.

Dear all,

-”Fear and Desire go hand in hand,
Life and Death are bitter truth,
Move on with hope and faith,
but run with love in you.”

-”Warrior studies everything and most importantly light and darkness are on his sides too.”

-”Good inspirations are reducing and perspiration are lacking too.”

-”I may not speak the truth every time, but during those times I am thinking about truth.”

-”Smile even in worries,
Nothing what you do will tarry,
Oh yeah, smile even in worries,
Move on and feel no sorry,
whatever you did is not your worry,
Smile even in worries,
Feel the wind, feel the words,
feel the pain, feel everything like sword,
but remember to smile even in worries
Nothing what you do will tarry. ”

God bless you all !

Mantis = Μάντης = Seer
Praying Mantis an … insect!!!

‘Sexual cannibalism is common among mantises in captivity, and under some circumstances may also be observed in the field. The female may start feeding by biting off the male’s head (as with any prey), and if mating had begun, the male’s movements may become even more vigorous in its delivery of sperms.’

In one of his books, Nikos Kazantzakis describes a scene with Mantis..
The worst FEAR of Male that he will absorbed by the FEMALE.
Fear and Desire, you say dearest Paulo Coelho and in they middle the … ABYS.:}

You have changed dearest Paul… It seems you have tried Eden’s fruits. ;] You have followed Pan instead of … Apollo! Take care you may lose Paradise once more. Be on guard.
Psyche and Eros have nothing to do with the lower Elementals of the Earth.
LOVE,
Thelma.

Fear appeals either to the past or to the future.Only desire can live in the present and can be turned into the fear if it will be suppressed.

Is it not that it is necessary to have both: fear and desire… to keep the other in check and balance.

To Study Fear and Desire leads one to Buddhahood. I mean enlightenment. In that much, Warrior of Light is true hero.
