Dear Jessica, I agree with Paul from Austria above, but, I think, it is a sign that you may suffer from .. depression.. Take care and we are praying for you. Follow also your doctors instructions, so that you will find the strength to .. start a new ..circle in your life: to be like PHOENIX, to be reborn from your .. ashes.
LOVE,
Thelma.

Jessica, deeply touched by your words … and yes faith. For me that is the ingredient that made stay alive and fighthing. If cries must come out, let them. Like it is written, “we cannot put new wine with old wine”, we must empty the jar to fill it with new … be there and caring for yourself during that moment of vulnerability. And if you have faith that y ou will come back soon … well, yes, you will come back. Johanne

I am truly in accordance with that citation. For a Warrior of Light has those forces because it took them to battle the fight of the Dark. I am speaking of me. What helped me cross the path of the Dark to be able today to see the Light and accomplish what I comprehend has “my mission, my purpose for all this experience of life as to today”, are those 2 forces that you mentioned. I walked through the valley of the dead (my valley), toxicomany, alcoolism, depression, suicidal scenarios, rejection of all that I was, and those 2 forces that I have, I took them to get out of that valley. They are my weapons, that I possess, that were necessary to choose to live a little more and to go get the information, to learn who I truly was, and this without doctors, pills ( and here I need to say that I do not judge those who have to relay a time on those) but with the people that Light put on my path, through relations (which were for me a new domain since I was a Lonely Warrior, isolated in my body, mind and soul). Those inner forces permitted me to make my comeback. I now hold those forces in a different perspective. I used them before, unconsciously, for my own destruction. Now, I use them consciously for life. To be a Warrior of Light means for me being true to my inner self, and to stand with the light demands to be strong and possessing those forces. I thank the Source who gave me the opportunity to have those forces. Here, the word “resilience” comes. I am that “Vilain Petit Canard” described by Mr. Boris Cyrulnik, that became “in my mind, my eyes”, the “Cygne”. I found my place and I am not living with whom I truly am.

Hi Annie,

nice phrase that “reflecting your thoughts on mine!” hey ! in a way ain’t that is what is happening here, everywhere, “refelcting your thoughts one mine !” the whole world is ( here i don’t mean world in aphysical sense, the planet earth and its inhabitants, i mean it as in everyone’s world being diffrent from other ) whole world is a series of relefctions !

about the rest i feel we are on same wavelength, maybe from a slightly diffrenmt anle though ! for me a wo, i am responsible for no one, absolutely no one other than myself ! but in my defination of myself, my whole world is coverd, it includes my freinds ( virtual ones too :) ), my ‘foes’? ( from my side i have none ), all living, nonliving and entities beyond living. when i am true to myself i am automatically true to the universe. something like howard roark of fountainhead ( ayn rand ). so far as improvement is concerned, i help improve a garden because it helps imrove me, i have my gratitude for that garden. although this will make it too long for a blog entry, i will risk sharing with you a story.

but then i know you also mean the same thing, similar, we are on the same wavelength. and sorry if i sounded ‘accusing’ ! my freinds choose to forgive all my ‘transgressions’ because they know that i love them and would never do anuthing only to hurt them.

and the story

Once upon a time, in region of remote india, there was a famine, no rain for this being third year in a row. and as we know, village folks in remote places are very dependendent on rains for their sustenance, well being . it is said that rains and environemntal disatsres happen when ‘sins’ of humanity of the effected regions, reaches some critical point, but that is another story, some other time. Village elders worried and they decided to do something, they didnot have access to modern cloud seeding techniques so they thought hard, and finally surrendered to requesting God. they knwe of a very holy man who used to live some distance away, alone in his hut ! people went and requested him to intervene. Holy man agreed to help and went to their village. He sensed that the energy in the region was not in harmony and set about his task of correctiong it. He explained the situation to the villagers and went in a isolated hut for 3 days, right in the centre of the village, asking people not to disturb him for 3 days ! for 3 days he went in and prayed ! soon enough rains came back. the villagers wante to know the secreat of this chaps success. he said ” it was nothing great ! i sensed that the energy in this place needed to be set right, and i had to begin the process by first setting myself in harmony with nature, then intesifying that harmony with prayes for you all. in the menatime u people also camped here, forgot your diffrences, u too prayed with me, this is all that we did, rest of what happned was HIS grace !”.

so to set right the world, to improve the world, one needs to improve oneself, so much that that improvemnet overflows to the rest of world, for we are the world !

wow ! now are we marching ahead, full steam ! up ahead, gung ho ! ( or something like that, has been quite some time when i read those beautiful tintins and asterixes, metal note, get a few copies and relive those meoments ),

yess lily i am with you too, and beleive me visiting this place, paulo’s blog is nothing short of an act of worship for me, u find so many of the ‘faithfuls’ here, so helpful, so loving !! i have been on this blog for quite some time now ( persistant, ha ha ha !!! ), didn’t see u earlier; so happy to feel your presence, as are sevral old freinds !

annie’s words are also soooooo cool ! this part was awsome “And as the trees and the plants and the seeds keep transforming, so he is transforming too, becoming the waters that waters them, the air ….” annie, in your first line, i get a feeling that rather than giving HIM credit for ‘things’ is there an attempt to push the ‘responsibility’ to HIM. “He is the one that can teach us not to give up,” yepp right, and HE is always willing and ready, provided we are ready to listen, to learn, to surrender ( afterall what have we got to loose other than some preconceived notions and an ego which we have cretaed to ‘protect ‘ us !) provided we are reday to become that water when we water the plant, provided we can hear the laughter of trees, provided we can see the joy in the eys of the fish we are feeeding, provided we become that work, which nature has entrusted to us for the day. provided we become all three simuplltaneously the doer ( as i water the plant ) the means and the act of doing and also the plants who are enjoing it. then joy is spontaneous, uncaused, being is joy !

great effort annie !

and lily just a last line here, u know the beauty of this world, we eventaully find what we are looking for ( conversely whatever we maybe having / being now, we have looked for it sometime, somewhere, maybe now we have forgotten why we were looking for it ), u are looking for essense of religion and see it is already covering your aura, ( your words in this virtaul space ), you have found the esense of religion ! only thing is that there is no past tense in this case, there is nothing like u have found; u go on finding, every moment of your existance !

Great words aditya, and aren’t words a reflection of the spirit, interwoven in the matter of emotion and feeling and love.
And to have the courage to express one’s self, one’s soul and hope, as you say, that the spirit shines through the context.
So, I’m with you for the good fight, courage, and taking from religion, it’s essence.

Hi rijoola !

u know something amazing about your relegion, it’s the one which can create the most intense energy amongst it’s followers. sad part is that that energy is totally dierctionless now a days. people catch the words whereas they should try to imbibe the spirit. words are always said in a contxt, they have contextual validity only. words which were used to propagate a spirit in say 500 ad may be harming the same spirit in year 2000. it’s sad that u people have struggle so hard for education, but rest assured, allah knows all and he takes care, but we need to fight for whqat is good for us, be it good education, fight in such a way that the opponet is vanquished, such a feat is not achived by subjugating your enemy but by transforming him, much like what gandhi did in that jail in SA.

wishing you all the very best, of love and life

Hi Aditya,
Thnk you so much for ur valubale reply. What u said is right.. To struggle throught life is indeed funny and at the same time is interesting. Eventhough we are living in a society which blames us for everything it becomes more challenging. To walk through the shore amidst the waves makes great difference and thrill of moving our feet against the water makes us even more enthusiastic.. N I enjoy what I’m and try to change myself according to the society which m living in and making myself merry and the air around me too..
Anyways Thank You So Much for ur kind reply..
cheers for a peaceful life..

yes persiatnce, not giving up, is the key – to self development.

freiinds have u noticed something, universe is just dual. if we practice any one thing say truthfullness, or say sincereity, or say being courageous ( not foolhardy, though ), all the other virtues also start manifesting themselves in us. just catch hold of one and be persistant ( and don’t keep looking over the shoulders for instant results ). sadly same is true aout vices too, there one does not have to be persistant, just a lack of persuit of virtue is enough for vices to find their way to us ( unless u are alreday an enligthed being, then the same urules which applies to mortals is not applicable any more ), much like an unattended garden.

so let’s all raise a toast to ‘persistance’ !

Indeed true..
In search of light means u’ll have to go through a lot more sufferings. Sometimes the result may be not such good, but sometimes the response may make us alarmed too. All this happens because life is a game of unexpectedness. I always do compare things with Alchemist everytime n used to prescribe my students who are now in the dawn of their teens to begin their expedition of reading with the same book as it inspires the mind n igintes them very much… N as far as am concerned my Birth name is not rijoola but Fatima n now tht am in my 24th year which is an ‘ageover’ as i’m a muslim for being got married, is really and eagerly waiting for “a boy” to come for me and to say like “I’m coming Fatima….”
And for a representative of my community to attain education is one of the biggest fight we have to make so anyhow the quote ignites, warms the thought, cools our soul n inpires to move ahead..
Wishes n Prayers to all of us…
Have a Very Blessed Weekend..
Rijoola

this word, conspiracy, has been coming up alot in my life the past month, Thelma… LOL…
so hopeful that this shall be revealed in time.. am curious now!!!

Stubborn & reckless becomes persistence and courage… yes indeed… two sides of a coin?
[but im wondering, is there like a certificate you have to apply for where the transition is 'gifted' by others to you??]

Reply

Cat May 22, 2009 at 2:58 pm

one owes it to oneself and others to be persistent and courageous… that is the value of these for me for sure.
