I love this quote! This is going to seem like a silly connection, but it reminds me of another quote I have in my classroom that I refer to often with students – I have a picture of Master Yoda from Star Wars and his quote, “Do or Do Not. There is no try.” It speaks to the same idea that if you make a complete commitment (do your best, complete a task, talk to your mother, pick up the pieces of a mess you’ve made and move on, whatever!) you WILL follow through. To say, “I’ll try” with any lack of commitment is allowing for the possibility of not following through.

more generally,and not applying this only to yes or no, we have to be careful of what we say …to mean what we wanted to mean with the words..

If I want recovery of own self. I need to stop being ambivalent and begin making a decision, which is related to simple questions, but difficult to implement: Continuous expecting different results as I am not making a decision or took the decision to change my search and recovery. At the end if I continued as I was waiting, however, not every day you can see the confusion that one is wrapped. By not making a decision is six years in the same spot, without improvement. I hope soon and take it forward.

Well it is said – and knowing from myself ;]- when a woman says .. NO she means .. Yes!! We just want to see how much we are ..loved and desired!! [ May be I speak of ... the past, romantic era!!]
Regarding our commitments to our decisions I think that we have to be stable and true and keep our words! So I avoid saying YES, because it is a .. commitment. By saying NO, we cut every bridge. So my … golden middle way is MAYBE!! ;]
Decisions are taken .. after having taken into account every aspect, but then it appears the .. unpredictable, unexpected, Karma or God’s ..mercy.

I agree. Not as my professor who says I finish to read your work next week, than for Monday, again another week, so on…I am a straight person, and I want to be always that way. I keep my promises, if I can.Or,yes, sometimes we must say no, a neat no.
