What do you try to do in the moments that life doesn’t submit you to any challenges and your soul is craving for inner silence?
In my personal case, I enjoy walking, doing archery, spending time with my loved ones.
Moments of rest are normal during the battle – when these moments coincide with our longing for rest, you have to welcome them. This way you can concentrate on the most pleasant aspects, but this doesn’t mean that you are not on your guard. At any time you need to be ready to draw your sword and fight the good combat.

Ineed. Such intimate moments deserve to spend with who you love :)
I agree with on 100%. Paulo you the best.
When my soul is craving for inner silence I go to my school and lock myself in the auditorium (I teach theatre.) I play my “mood of the day” music and run the aisles of the house. I then, depending on the mood, transport myself anywhere in the world. Today, the mood was enhanced by Dick Dale’s sounds. I transported myself to Baja and ran along a beautiful sunny beach with an aqua-blue surf. It was quite lovely.
Oh, instead of staring at a blank wall, I stare at a blank stage. You are “spot on” when you say that the unconscious will connect to the conscious and vice versa. I have used this method for a few years. At first I did it to mentally create sets, blocking, choreography, costumes, etc. for the next play; but as one sits there in meditation, without interruptions, one can sense the unconscious coming to light. The communications I experience are so spiritual that I shed a tear now thinking about them.
Marvelous time to be in contact with the Self, to just live the present moment, to charge the energy, continuing to be vigilant to everything, every sign … and have gratitude of this time of “peace”, of simple pleasure. You know, it is when I am gardening that my best strategies come to my mind!
When I have moments for rest, I write. Simply I write down the ideas which were coming to during this moment mind. Often these think become then a basis for articles, and often support me during the difficult moments of a life as minutes of rest I always think about good.
What if these moments dont coincide, but rather collide with our will..? What if the near environment or the ‘weather’ or your body is tempting you to rest, but you dont really want to, and your mind wants you to keep going?
Love and Graditude
Annie
Thanks, Annie! Think this is what I am going through in the moment: everything says STOP, and I want to GO. As a consequence, I grow agitated, restless, too eager to make a move that is not yet ready to be made. I have to remind myself to take advantage of this – to rest and reserve my energy for the time when it will be most needed.
Some race horses are this way. Due to changes in the routine, they are able to sense when they are about to be raced. On the day of the race, the horse will stand it its stall and paw the ground, toss its head in the air or pace back and forth until it is lathered it sweat, until it has used up every ounce of its energy and has none left for the race.
Important to remember to conserve our energy, even when we don’t particularly feel like it – to hold back and wait, even when our impulse is to charge ahead.
Dear annie,
you wrote what I exactly want to know :)
Actually from my experience there were many situations that required me keep fighting even though my body needed a rest, and those that tempting me to rest although my mind wanted to keep fighting.
And I always try to pursue the same direction : Listening to myself and following it. When my body needed a rest, I did. When my mind wanted to keep fighting, I did. But I have to admit that following the voices from myself are sometimes nearly impossible…
Love,
Alan
Dearest Paulo,
what are you fighting? why do you always speak about battles and fights?
with love and respect

Indeed, precious moments… Time spent with dear ones, with relaxing activities.
