Iran by Neda

by Paulo Coelho on June 23, 2009

My best friend in Iran, a doctor who showed me its beautiful culture when I visited Teheran in 2000, who fought a war in the name of the Islamic Republic (against Iraq), who took care of wounded soldiers in the frontline, who always stood by real human values, is seen here trying to resuscitate Neda – hit in her heart.

You can follow Iran in crisis : live here

UPDATE 23/04 10:50 PM: GOD WILLING, I WILL HAVE NEWS FROM MY FRIEND TOMORROW AFTER 2:00 PM, THEN I WILL POST HERE NOT ONLY HIS NAME, BUT ALSO OUR EXCHANGE OF EMAILS. FROM THEN ON, THIS BLOG WILL RETURN TO ITS ORIGINAL FORMAT, EXCEPT BY RUMI’S VERSES, THAT I WILL UPDATE DAILY, TILL THE END OF THIS WEEK.

I do enjoy the manner in which you have presented this specific challenge plus it does supply us some fodder for thought. Nevertheless, coming from what precisely I have observed, I just wish when other responses pack on that individuals stay on issue and in no way embark upon a soap box associated with some other news of the day. Still, thank you for this superb piece and whilst I can not go along with the idea in totality, I respect your point of view.

You really should change hosting companies. Your blog seems to be down about half the time I go there.

Should twitter receive the Nobel Peace Prize?

Twitter, Paulo Coelho, Facebook, were instrumental in getting information out of Iran over these last few weeks that the evil Supreme Being has ordered a clampdown on what little democracy exists in Iran. Should they not be joint recipients of the Nobel Peace Prize?

I am another Neda and I am 26 too. and I am a protester too. my mother says in about 22 to 26 years ago the name of neda became popular in iran . for no special reasion of course. but I think this name find its real meaning these days. NEDA means CALL- SHOUT- SOUND-song in farsi.
thanks MR.coelho and thaks the people of all the world to hear our voice and to protect us
