Dear Arash,
young Iranians like you make me try so hard to help our new generation to bring about freedom and DEMOCRACY to our beloved Iran, you are a son that any Father would be proud of, i know I am. i have never lived under this tyrant Regime, but I will never stop trying for freedom for all Iranians. in a free Iran, people like you will make our Country so beautiful and Democratic that the whole world would love. please keep up the great work and never give up, FREEDOM and DEMOCRACY will prevail.
Twitter, Paulo Coelho, Facebook, were instrumental in getting information out of Iran over these last few weeks that the evil Supreme Being has ordered a clampdown on what little democracy exists in Iran. Should they not be joint recipients of the Nobel Peace Prize?
I salute you my brother. You are a brave man and a great
human being.. Only if your kindness and humanity reflected
back to evils of Islamic republic of Iran. It is so sad
for me to see my fellow countrymen kill and torture their
brothers and sisters, we are worse than animals…
arash jan, thanks for standing up and talking. we all
admire you ! and god bless Neda an innocent soul who lost
her life to these killers.
Hi Nahayat I was wondering if you would be interested in doing a story on two of my friends who do not speake alot of english and are attending ESL and happen to sign a contract with Extreme Fitness that makes them pay one $900 a MONTH and the other $700 a month for six months totaling to more then $10,000 at the end of six months. They pay a total of $1,600 a MONTH between the two. Let me know thanks. My direct number is xxxxxxxxxxxxx and email is xxxxxxxxxxxxxx , thanks again. Regards Bruce.
“The rights of the Iranian people to assemble, to speak freely, to have their voices heard – those are universal aspirations. Their bravery in the face of brutality is a testament to their enduring pursuit of justice. The violence perpetrated against them is outrageous.” — President Barack Obama
Arash Hejaz spoke with eloquence and humility.
Sometimes the right person is in the right place at the right time. Arash Hejaz tried to save the life of Neda Soltan, an innocent young person who was brutally slaughtered by a thug acting for the evil Supreme Being. Her death was flashed around the world. Arash Hejaz has had the courage to bear witness to these events.
Neda was shot at close range. The bullet did not exit. The same thought came to me, as has occurred to others. Was a dumdum bullet used? Maybe the bullet hit a bone and that is why it did not exit? Conveniently no autopsy has taken place. I am no ballistics expert or pathologist, but it does seem strange.
Dumdum bullets are outlawed for war, armies are not allowed to use them. There are some security forces using them.
I came across information on this recently, but unfortunately cannot remember where. It may have been in As Used on the Famous Nelson Mandela by Mark Thomas. Unfortunately this otherwise excellent book on the arms trade lacks an index. [see BCID 6661110]
If the thugs on the streets are using dumdum bullets, it begs the question why?
Why did the thug shoot Neda? The thug who killed her says he did not not mean to kill her, but that could be simply fear of being lynched.
The people said we are not killers and let him free. They could not trust the police.
His picture was taken, maybe by many people. His ID card taken. It is known who he is. At the very least, someone please post these details on the net.
The people take to the streets. They have no weapons, other than their voices.
Why is the evil regime refusing to allow Western media to report what they see on the streets? What are they afraid of? That they will report on the activity of their thugs on streets? That they will report on the numbers of people on the streets?
Neda was not a casualty of war, this was not collateral damage. She was murdered by the illegitimate regime.
Like Neda, Arash is a true Warrior of Light. He has spoken out against injustice.
I saw Arash Hejazi speaking on a TV interview and I was very impressed. As you say, the right person in the right place at the right time. but not quite as he could not save Neda’s life.
I note the Iran Daily has asked Interpol to arrest Dr Hejazi….Why ?
This is another outrage. i would like to write a letter to the Iran Daily to say so. Do you have an address for them ?
Can you send me any e mail addresses or postal addresses so that I can express my outrage at the imprisonment of University Staff and so much more ?
Iran: A Revolutionary State, a 3-part series on modern Iran first broadcast 2006, is being re-broadcast mornings (1100 BST, 1000 GMT) on BBC Radio 4, Monday-Wednesday 29 June – 1 July 2009.
“I want the judiciary to … punish leading rioters firmly and without showing any mercy to teach everyone a lesson.” — Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami
The flame of freedom has flickered in in Iran. Are we to allow that flame to be snuffed out? Is Neda Soltan’s death to be in vain? Is the courage of Arash Hejazi in speaking out to be in vain, is the courage of those who took to the streets to be in vain?
If the flame of freedom is to stay alight, to throw forth its light and lighten the darkness, the brave people of Iran have to take to the streets, achieve critical mass and overthrow the mullahs and ayatollahs. In the last two weeks, mullahs and ayatollahs have been humiliated, they will not forgive let alone forget, they will exact their revenge on the people. In Friday’s prayers, Ayatollah Khatami called for street protesters to be executed. Militia are targeting the home of protesters. Iranian staff working at the British Embassy have been arrested and detained.
Neda Soltan has become the symbol of the revolution in the same way that the Czech student Jan Palach became the symbol of the of the 1968 uprising in Czechoslovakia.
The dark forces cannot be allowed to succeeded.
The regime has said the street protesters killed Neda, that she was killed by thugs hired by the BBC.
Arash has nailed that lie. He has also nailed the lie that the demonstrators were armed.
Neda was not killed serving on a front line, she was not collateral damage. She was silenced by an evil regime. Neda wanted the voice of the people to be heard, she wanted freedom of expression, freedom of assembly, free and fair elections.
The world was shocked when the pictures of Neda Soltan’s death was beamed around the, and no small thanks to Paulo Coelho for making the distressing images available on his blog. At the G8 summit, even the Russian foreign minister has expressed his shock and outrage.
The mullahs and ayatollahs who cling to power in Iran have shown their true face to the world. They are no better than the Taliban who degrade women, no better than Muslim fundamentalists who massacre innocent people in their terrorists attacks.
i think he want to tell the world what he saw and save himself. that is his right an its okay. i think that is one of the reasons of this interview. i think he is not a strong man just because he did this interview. he is scared about what could happen if he´ll go back to the iran.

I must have been one of the last people to post a reply on Arash’s blog because now I find that the blogsite has been removed, probably by the Iranian authorities because it had a .ir suffix.
Tell us when you get an alternative site in the UK Arash – the opposition movement needs as many strong voices as possible to support their work.
Dear Sir, I appreciated very much what you have done for dr. Arash. There is a thing that puzzle me: your Italian readers do not know your social commitement and I suggest that it is a good idea to tell to the Italian citizens that you are on the side of the Freedom. Yours sincerely, piero
Thx for what u did, dear sir. Neda still could be alive if those blockheads just thought a second before they do something stupid like shooting innocent bystanders. U can still tell that the doc is in shock coz he gets kind of upset and excited in the interview, saw that alot on ppl in a shock-like state, even when its weeks past and they have to recap the situation. However – gr8 job by u mr. hejazi and may the situation over there change soon and to peace.

I praise the courage of Dr Arash.
I praise the courage of all Iranians that made their feelings known.
I pray for my husband’s family that are there and may you all keep safe.

I think medical examiner could and still can find out about the bullet that killed Neda and link it to the shooting gun. Of course if they are being monitored by international during the bullet removal. Other wise they replace it and would lie which is a common tactics in Islamic Republic.
I have just read these comments arriving from all over the world. This situation in Iran is very sad for all of us. I can see sadness in the eyes of young people in the streets and offices. We are crushed . But we are still alive. This goverment lost his reason last week . Now we have reason to survive .
I Could not believe these many nice people pay attention to Iran and Iran’s people. Yes we have a lots of problems with our leader, they do many violence in Iran, which it cause all the people of the world afraid of us, how ever we are just like them, we work, eat, drink, think and love each other.. But our leaders are opposite
God bless Iranian.
Thank U all for Ur attention to iran.
I bow in front of the courage the Iranian people and you have shown in this difficult situation.
If you think there is something that could be done from abroad — other than spreading the word about information like this interview — to help the cause of Iranian people living their constitutional rights, please share these ideas with the world too — many are prepared to listen, and some to act.
God bless you Arash.
God chose you because He knew you would not run away from this situation, and that you would do the right things.
Your interview is honest and beautiful.

Dear Paulo
I have tried to write a stub about Arash Hejazi and Neda Agha-Soltan in the Portuguese Wikipedia. As I wrote it in my comment to the doctor posting my Portuguese is too bad to write more than one or two sentences. But I think both, Arash and Neda would also merit an article in the Portuguese Wikipedia. Perhaps someone reading these words could improve both articles, because they both (Arash and Neda) merit good articles in Portuguese wiki. Yours Christophe
I was deeply touched by Arash’s interview, just wondering how brave he is to come out and talk to BBC while his family still might be in Iran. It is God that put him at that place at that time, so that he could share so candidly and passionately with the world what happened to Neda and how this affects Iran. Neda is undoubtedly a martyr and Arash is now the voice that was silenced by the Basij when they shot her…
My heart goes to the Iranian people and also to all the people that live under opressive governments.
Iran has two faces: the face of the regime, the face of the people. The face of the evil regime is not the face of the people.
John Simpson said the people are paranoid about the British. If a man falls over a stone, the British must have put it there. Listening with a friend from Iran, she said Iran has every reason to be paranoid from past meddling by the British. But she also added, that the young in Iran have no sense of history. They only know about the past from their older friends and family.
We in the West support the people in their struggle against the evil regime.
Incredible and very emotional story! Many thanks to the much appreciated Mr. Coelho for sharing it with the world.
Dear Iranians, you can be sure that the whole free world stands on your side these days! Please keep up protesting peacefully against the dictatorship, Neda & many other people must not have died for nothing! The evil has never prevailed in history … so you have all reason to believe in a better Iran!
dear paolo coelho
I agree with this opinion. but i think i live in backward country with this government ,because majority of the people in Iran try to change
a result of election but the government attention was not given to people protests and suppressed with force.this government only want to reach the power.thanks alot for sympathetic.I’m your fan in facebook. but facebook was filtered and i can’t leave message for you.pleas don’t alone us because we decide to go on Neda’s way.I offer my thanks to Arash hejazi for this interview.
i admire how brave you are. i really hope there are enough people like you in iran right now to change, or should i say open up, the unwanted tradition. this is my personal opinion but i think it is up to iranian what to do in your country. and i hope you would make right choice for you and for your next generation. we love you and we support you!
ps, since my childhood, i love your country and culture. i hope i will be able to travel to your country with my friends and family just like any other place.

Dear Paulo,
I read many times your symbolic masterpieces in Persian (Farsi) translated by Arash ….
Thank you very much for your help and participation in our protest.
Nima from Italy
her young soul is in the light of love.
what were her weapons? her voice, her youth, her trust for her country, her hope, her courage, as many others.
God doesn’t stop the killer’s hand, God lets do it, that’s true.
we can’t go back to the past to erase our sins, God lets do it, that’s true also.
First of all I would like to congratulate Dr. Arash Hejazi for the excellent interview he gave. With great wisdom and humanity he approached the situation as it happened and chose each and every word perfect to show his attitude and belief. Everything is actually well known but the truth just can’t break through this iron blanket that is spread over it. It must be dispair and fear that made people react like this and let the murderer escape: this was irresponsible. Whatever he said or didn’t say (after all the certain indications that he commited homicite) he should have been confronted with his act. Nobody talks about killing as the real punishment, but a trial would have been necessary…
I believe that all of us have the inner voice that tells us how far we can go and when to stop or when we did something ‘wrong’. ‘Wrong’ towards nature..and sometimes we listen to other voices and find out that this voices were fake and one experiences quilt and regret.
In such cases where people can allow crimes to happen everyday without any quilt, I would speak of mentaly disturbed people who are living their sickness and destroying, and aren’t even aware of what they are doing. In my opinion such people need help and should be isolated from society as a threat and not being elected to rule and lead countries.
And I agree… this look in Nedas eyes will change the world
Love nad peace
Please send your mail address to me. I will send it to you.

the part that really got me was when he said how he felt after her death… when he said he felt a great fear of death. thats axactly how i felt when i finished watching the vid clip. My feelings was a mixture of angers, sadness and fear. Actually it was the first time i saw someone die for real… and it was no fake blood and no movie. it was reality. and it totally woke me up. i was like, hey this is gonna happen to me one day. maybe not like this, but still im gonna die someday.
that was quite an awakening for me…well, thats another thing Neda left in this world. another reason that she will not be forgottern.
my prayers will be with her forever.

Last night on BBC Radio 4, (8pm BST 2000 GMT Tuesday 25 June 2009) there was a very good report on Iran from BBC World Affairs Editor John Simpson.

I agree with this opinion. but i think i live in backward country with this government ,because majority of the people in Iran try to change
a result of election but the government attention was not given to people protests and suppressed with force.this government only want to reach the power.thanks alot for sympathetic.I’m your fan in facebook. but facebook was filtered and i can’t leave message for you.pleas don’t alone us because we decide to go on Neda’s way.I offer my thanks to Arash hejazi for this interview.
regards,Sarah from Iran
dear Sarah,
i admire how brave you are. i really hope there are enough people like you in iran right now to change, or should i say open up, the unwanted tradition. this is my personal opinion but i think it is up to iranian what to do in your country. and i hope you would make right choice for you and for your next generation. we love you and we support you!
ps, since my childhood, i love your country and culture. i hope i will be able to travel to your country with my friends and family just like any other place.
Dear Paulo,
I read many times your symbolic masterpieces in Persian (Farsi) translated by Arash ….
Thank you very much for your help and participation in our protest.

her young soul is in the light of love.
what were her weapons? her voice, her youth, her trust for her country, her hope, her courage, as many others.
:( I cannot see the video cous of filtering!!!
Dear Judy,
Please send your mail address to me.
