Last week “Quote of the Week” was from Oscar Wilde. All of a sudden, someone said Oscar Wilde was a homosexual, which is true. Then the discussion started to be not about the quote but about Oscar Wilde, sexuality and homosexuality in general. So, this week is about this Taboo : Homosexuality.
I’m looking forward for your opinions, and please remember that your comments will be moderated but not censored.
Thank you!

I believe that homosexuality is not just sex, who think it is wrong because it is love, maybe in a different way but it is love, many people see evil, speak evil, but in the end is not your life every person who lives his life as you say that all heterosexuals are born that do not know, but when you fall you fall of the sex that is, not so people can talk.
love is love and everyone is entitled to have that love, I met the love of my life an amazing woman who truly loves struggle.
homosexuality is not a disease, nor anything wrong.
Homosexual behaviour is natural and is widely observed among animals, including humans. But not all behaviour in nature is good or acceptable to all humans, in different stages of spiritual evolution. E.g. alpha domination, cannibalism, might is right, me – first, etc.
Likewise, homosexuality is. Fine. We don’t have to sing paeans to it, as indeed there are none I know of.
Heterosexual love is deep and fruitful, forming both the cause and basis for family life, which is the very constituent of social structure and everything that follows, including moral and ethical values and world peace.
And, yes, paeans have been sung extolling heterosexual love … countless times, most beautifully, even spiritually and liberatingly !
Should we still discuss it? isn’t it clear by now that homosexuality is just a sexual orientation like other orientations.sexual relations are private part of every ones life, but just focusing on homosexuals because we concern whom they sleep with, is cruel
I had a brother who was gay. I asked him once in the early 1980s if he liked being a homosexual. He said of course he didn’t, he could never marry and settle down and have children. He died of AIDS in 1986.
The taboo on homosexuality arose because every drop of semen was precious to a race that was struggling to survive in a harsh, dangerous world. Every ejaculation had to go to propagating the race. So Onanism became taboo, too. The family, clan and tribe needed as many people as it could have to better its chances of survival, so homosexuality and masturbation became forbidden because they do not result in the conception of children.

There is a difference between love and sex…
It’s not the same thing…
So homosexuality is all about sexuality….
Love is love, you can love who you want to. You mother, your sister, youur brother, your boyfriends But it doesn’t mean that you can having sex with them.
Sex is our natural desire.
I think all of us was born as a heterosexual, because we were born as men and women.
Look at our body, how it amazingly designed (women and men)
I think if we look at our body we should know the answer.. :)
Sylvi has a point here,
if Homosexuality is something natural and has no negative impact on society or the person who executes it then no other incestuous or adultery should be considered to be negative
Falling in love is not under our control. Of course we can not choose a person or a gender. We just fall in love. That is the reason love is love. There’s no reason against homosexuality.
And i’m always curious about why the homosexuality has not been used in Paulo coelho’s book.
I am very humbled to read so many compassionate and open-minded/open-hearted responses. It should come as no surprise that followers of Mr Coelho’s work are, for the most part, free of the bigotry that is a rot in our society and which continues to cause untold pain and suffering.
I am gay, although I don’t often identify myself as that any more than I identify myself as ‘blue-eyed’. It’s just a small part of the way consciousness is expressed through this body/mind. To me, it’s just a natural inclination and yes, when I was growing up, it caused a lot of intense suffering as I thought it was something very ‘wrong’ about me and that people would hate and reject me if they found out. It’s horrible to grow up thinking there’s something inherently wretched about the way you are. It’s not a choice – no one would choose to be gay in a world where you can be rejected by family, peers and society and, in parts of the world be tortured and killed for it. It is a great lesson in self-acceptance and love. It offers the potential to really awaken and develop compassion. Just about all gay people carry the scars inflicted on them by an ignorant society and some are unable to truly get over these wounds.
It’s really disgraceful the way in our supposedly advanced society, hatred and ignorance are institutionalised; political and religious leaders decry that being gay is something wrong. The result is society’s widespread homophobia dehumanises gay people. Is it any wonder many teenagers feel that in the midst of such hatred and ignorance, they have no choice but to end their lives? It’s heart-breaking that we humans treat each other like this. Can’t people see what they’re doing? People’s compassion and acceptance of others must be extended to embrace ALL people regardless of differences. I hope that one day this will happen. Dehumanisation is the greatest evil of our age. The only answer is nonjudgement and compassion. I love myself as an expression of the universe and the totality and I extend this love to all others, regardless of what their warped minds think of me or whether they hate me or not. We’re all OK. It couldn’t be any other way.
I don’t think homosexuality is wrong.
Everyone have a choice…
Everyone!…
I don’t see how men are attracted to other men. I don’t think I’ll ever get it. But it is cool with me as long as the people involved are happy. If you’re happy, that should be all the reason needed to be with whoever.
people should just accept what and how they are, whatever that is..embrace it.
It is what it is what comes to mind on homsexuality. This day and age….glad it is starting to lighten its load the taboo. One of my childhood fav and still is Ricky Martin declared *out loud* he is a gay man. I love him more than ever…I’m sure I would have been upset in the earlier years yet just like anything that I would have gotten over it. When I saw Ricky at his book signing recently in NJ with his newest book *ME* w other old fans/friends who showed up to as to say *we love you are you are kiki/ricky*)…and he has said it in the media how he is happy….to think of all the things in the world he couldn’t be fully happy being confused that long w all the societal linitations and such is just one less thing I would like to stratch off on the left side as *contrast* to the right side *clarity* that states people are seen for what they are regardless of their preferences is just…. welll clear. (Got that contrast/clarity technique by Michael Losier’s book Law of Attraction). What I think about homosexuality in one word? *And?* Let’s focus on other things shall we? Like awareness…:D & even that my goal is to get to *And?*…next..evolutionary scale
Strange are the ways of this civilization(if I may be allowed to call us so)..they don’t judge you on whether you love….but need no incentive whatsoever to tear you apart basing on a who you love…
I believe that everyone should love a partner be free. Everyone one is free to love how the feel respect and commitment. I just only disagree when they use a third person to hide who they are. If you are gay, you are gay do not pretend be bisexual just because you are afraid of what people would say. You should be one way gay or straight. I said this because several times I had face guys who are bisexual and pretend to be straight or are homosexual. I think you whould just be in one stand and go for it.
With whom people decide to sleep/have sex, it’s up to them.
I have a nephew who is gay. He is only 7. I can’t help but feel sorry for him because society ridicules… and the world is often cruel amongst their kinds. He may be a laughing stock among his peers when he grows up as what often happens.
But looking at him more, I am proud and I actually envy him at some point. At an early age, he knows who he is. He knows what he wants. While most of us adults, are still in the grasp of something about us. He maybe gay but looking at him, observing him… he knows how to behave. He treats everyone with respect and he is so sweet. And I am sure he will grow to be a good homosexual.
It is not homosexuality that is taboo. It is the people around homosexuals that treat them less of a human. It is the people who mock, ridicule and laugh at the homosexuals who are taboo.
People should be free to love who they want to love.
If its deep and honest in your hart, just follow that.
I must agree that some younger people seem to use it as a trendy thing, but then again you can’t keep this up forever.
But its also part of the experimenting process in puberty, which i think is just fine, as long as you don’t do anything against your will.
I think that people can’t choose weather they’re going to be homosexuals or not, they were born that way. We don’t discriminate people that are, for example, honest or irresponsable so why would someone disriminate homosexual people? Even if someone has chosen to be homosexual we should respect their decision.
all love in this world is beautiful. How can hatred be used against love???? I dont get it. We need all the love we can get in this cruel world and this energy that people use against homosexuality should be used to something positive instead.
Love and Sex are two different things. Sex is medium to express intense love towards spouse when both agreed to have a family.
Please note we cannot express the love towards our father or mother or brother or sister with Sexual act as a mean.
eu odiava homossexualismo. Criticava.
There are no discussions on sunrise and sunset.
But numerous on homosexuality found amongst many species, hence it´s not a domaine of humans and possibly even not best explained with psychology.
Years back there had been an exhibition in Oslo on homosexuality amongst animals.
So, why start a discussion on something which nature seems to offer as an option in life – for humans and animals.
As long as noone is harmed, noone is forced against his own will, why even bring up this topic.
Everyone should accept homosexuality as it is – a personal choice by the individual. Period.
If the relationship is reigned by respect and love we should be as happy for everyone, hetero-/bi- or homosexual, having found his/her soulmate as we are watching the beauty of sunrise and sunset.
I dont think that love should be searched only on opposite sex. You can fall in love with a person from your sex and if people are looking iddly at you that is their immaturity. Nobody is normal in this world and the term normal comes because of people who act simmular or same. Being homosexual dosent mean crazyness but it means just being diffrent. I am not a homosexual but i am mature enough to have lesbianwats friends
Well before anything I’d like to clarify that i am neither homophobic nor do i hate homosexuals. They are humans just like any of us and i accept nd befriend them because well it’s none of my business how they choose to live. Whether you’re with or against homosexuality, it doesnt really matter because nothing gives the right to not accept a human being in the first place. But I’d just like to pinpoint one thing, for of you who think that being homosexual is something natural.. Because if u think about it, well it’s not.
I mean birth only happens when a male and a female come together and nothing else.. Now think about it deeper, what if the whole world went gay? It’ll be the end of the world as we know it.. The end of our species because no newborns will be born and thus no increase in population.. And now when u think about that you’ll also realize that God created males and females each with a certain function to bring a new human to this world.. And for those who claim that they were born gay, well get me scientific proof..really i mean i dont think u actually know about sexuality when you’re a baby.. Comeon guys lets be rational here and cut the whole ‘I love gays’ speeches.. Accepting all kinds of humans is mature..like i said i hve some gay friends and i totally hve no problem with them..but that doesnt mean that being gay is the way of life we were supposed to choose, because simply it goes against nature.
Love is Universal, and cannot be limited by gender or any other categorization. Sex is (or should be) one of many ways to express and share personal love. Between consenting, aware adults, and so long as nobody is harmed, either physically or emotionally, I can’t see that is any business of anybody else’s how we chose to behave in private. Personally, I am a happy hetero, but I believe in ‘Live and let live’ and that also means ‘Love and let love’
It is clearly stated in the Bible that God created Adam and Eve, there is no such thing as “Steve” in the picture.
The Bible speaks clearly of what constitutes a proper sexual relationship:
“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined together to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” -Genesis 2:24
Homosexual behavior is SIN! 1 Timothy 1:10-11
Homosexual behavior will be judged by God! 1 Corinthians 6:9-10
If this is your belief, you are fully entitled to it. But then you can leave the judging to God, and there’s no need for you to add to it. “Judge not, lest you be judged.” Matthew 7.1
I see and understand your point of view, in believing the bible.
Here are some of my thoughts.
1. the bible was written by man. there are 50 over different bibles written by different people. (yes, they undergo the whole church thing to qualify as whether it is a bible or not)
2. because it is written by man, it is not necessarily true. Why so? because it was written after Jesus Christ is no longer on earth. Meaning, they wrote with the sources of either word of mouth or memory. miscommunications happen all the time, especially through word-of-mouth. how simple a sentence spoken to a person can be totally altered into an entirely different sentence with a different meaning when the message is passed on to another person.
3. I have doubts on the whole story of God created the world in 6 days and rested on the 7th. Why? Where are the dinosaurs included in the whole 6 days? bear in mind that the dinosaurs lived on the very same earth that we are living on 65 million years before we, humans did.
Even if God did create the world in 6 days, and created Adam and Eve, Adam and Eve had 2 sons, 1 of them was murdered by the other sibling, which left only Cain, the story according to the bible, right? Now, my question would be, since there is only Adam, Eve and Cain left, who did Cain mate with in order to create the rest of us? are you suggesting that Cain was mating with Eve which is his mother? Isn’t that incest? I honestly do not believe that 2 people mated and gave birth to thousands of children.
If you believe in the story of Adam & Eve, then all of our birth is a original sin. Which means our very existence itself is a sin, regardless of our sexual preferences.
For me, if God did create the world, he would have created the world with just a snap of his fingers. Why? Simply because, he is God.
God is loving and forgiving, do you not agree? I believe God loves everyone equally, regardless of their sexuality preferences.
I also would like to mention that if it was said that God created mankind in his own image, which means God is both female and male, a hermaphrodite. If so, then it is not necessary for a person to fall for a man if she was a woman and vice versa. So the sexual preferences of anyone is up to their own liking, after all, we were given free will.
Last but not least, if you still think homosexuality is a sin, be honest to God if not to yourself, have you not sinned before?
I doubt God would be happy seeing his children condemning each other because of their sexual preferences. I feel that God would not be happy seeing people getting bullied, made fun of, laughed at, beaten up by those who do not agree with homosexuality.
If you have the choice of loving whomever you want, be it a male or a female, why does the rest not have the same choice?
Love is universal, love is not gender based.
But then again, I do not speak for God, which I am not doing so. These are just my personal opinions. By the way, I am a female that have a preference for males.
Please do not say marriage is sacred therefore homosexuals should not be allowed to get married, because is marriage is sacred, what is with the shotgun weddings that happens in places like Vegas? Then why are people allowed to divorce?
There are many people who marry for the wrong reasons, such as, money, fame, parental pressure, status, pregnancy or even because they got too drunk to remember and gets a divorce the next day.
I only would like to say that I am not entitled by any means to believe in what you believe and nobody should put any pressure for me changing to what you believe is right, even if you do it for my soul. Grandeur delusion is even more dangerous than homosexuality, since it forgets a core value taught by many great masters that have walked on earth: love and respect others as you would like them do upon you. Hence, thank you for trying to do what it seems right to you, you would definitely go to heaven, but who knows, maybe I will too, because I am faithful to what I think and to the God I believe in. Many religions, one God maybe; or many heavens, many Gods, many sexual orientations; the point is: RESPECT DIVERSITY.
I don’t see what’s the big deal with homosexuality. Are they not human beings? Don’t they have the right to live freely in society like their heterosexual counterparts? Homosexuality is not a sin. Neither is it a choice. I do believe that one’s sexual preference is not up to him, but it is a product of what nature has endowed in him. Singling out homosexuals&mistreating them because of their sexual orientation is a cowardly act indeed. Love, I think, is something very personal, it’s something undefinable. My love for my spouse may differ from someone else’s love for their spouse, that doesn’t mean that either of us are wrong in our way of loving.
I wish people and society as a whole could be more open minded with regards to homosexuals. Why should homosexuality be a taboo? A relationship between a man&a woman is completely acceptable, why can’t it be the same for same sex couples? Everyone deserves to be with whosoever makes them happy, regardless of their gender.
I don’t really get this whole nonsense about homosexuals, ist’s not like they chose to be it, they are born this way and they are just being who they are. Respect everyone as you would like to be respected, it’s called empathy, the world could use liberal amounts of it!
I don’t know where everybody’s so afraid of, it’s only love.. I am a gay man, a proud gay man. When people can’t accept me for who I really am, it’s their flaw, not mine.
i think everyone are free to do what they want and what they like..if someone told me i couldn’t date someone…i am straight…because he is black or different i wouldn’t care… so i say,,who are we to judge what is right and what isn’t…if they exist they can only exist by God’s acceptance ,Jesus told us to love one another not to judge:)
What if someone you tell you the most incredbile thing, too rediculous to believe, even contemplate – and yet have it be true. Well here goes …
A theory was published in the Journal Of The Gay And Lesbian Medical Association in 2000 that said the following:
Human beings are born without any sexual instinct or sexual inclination. Sexually speaking, we are born with a blank slate. Due to sexual exploration behaviours all children engage in with their own bodies – touching all parts of their bodies, specially stimulating the sensitive genital area, and also becoming eroticized by smelling their sexual organs, a child will have the greatest tendency to develop a homosexual orientation development – much stronger than a tendency to become heterosexual or bisexual – if there are not sufficiently strong societal deterrents and/or negative sexual experiences with their own gender.
Human beings are therefore sexually unstable as a species, always having relied on strong societal discouragement of homosexuality in order for their societies to survive. There are many lines of proof of this theory. Go to http://www.humansexualevolution.com .

Agenda; theory as truth.
Before I start with my comments, please do not quote the Bible, because I can also quote the atrocities, inconsistencies, and absurdity find in it (e.g., GE 34:13-29 The Israelites kill Hamor, his son, and all the men of their village, taking as plunder their wealth, cattle, wives and children).
Also, please don’t bring priests’ vows of celibacy if you haven’t study history.
“The movement to mandate celibacy began in the fourth century when Pope Siricius abandoned his wife and children to gain his papal position… But the rule was difficult to enforce and the church almost lost control of the issue. For hundreds of years priests, bishops and even popes continued to marry and have children – Innocent VII (several), Alexander VI (several), Julius (3 daughters),Paul III (3 sons, 1 daughter), Pius IV (3 sons)
Gregory XIII (1 son). In 1074 Pope Gregory VII legislated that anyone to be ordained must first pledge celibacy. By 1095 married priests with families faced increasing repression. The priests would be imprisoned and their wives and children sold into slavery. In 1139 Pope Innocent II finally decreed that clerical marriage was invalid. Celibacy was seen as a powerful tool in controlling priests, monks and nuns. As well, celibate priests would have no sons who might inherent their property, so everything would revert back to the church. For hundreds of years afterwards, priests, even popes (see insert), continued to have illicit relationships and father illegitimate children.”

I don’t know where people got this idea that homosexuality is not “normal” when it’s found in every country, culture, profession and in the animal kingdom (e.g., Homosexual behaviour in animals: http://www.cambridge.org/gb/knowledge/isbn/item5708830/?site_locale=en_GB). Two of my very best friends are gay, and I had the privilege of meeting many extraordinary gay people. Homosexual behaviour in animals is common and I’ve witnessed (I travel extensively worldwide), seen in documentaries and read about it (grew up with domestic and wild animals; scientific household).
The people who “despise” homosexuals” are despising celebrities, doctors, psychologists, fire fighters, pilots, nurses, garbage collectors, writers, etc. Name it! Basically, anyone on whom they rely on a daily basis. The irony is that most hideous crimes to humanity are committed by people labelled “normal” people. When does one hear about homosexuals engaging in wars, abusing children, raping and beating up people? Molesters are mainly “heterosexuals.” I don’t know of a homosexual serial killer.
If you’re a decent human being, then you should embrace all human kaleidoscope. And if we are the image of God as is stated by some, then homosexuals are included as well since they are human beings. God doesn’t make mistakes according to some.
I saw this topic and got curious to see what others were saying about it seeing how I am a homosexual man. I have spent a lot of time reviewing what others have said. Personally, I did not choose this at first. I tried to follow the social expectations but I kept finding myself uncomfortable and unhappy with a female and since I was very little, I always found a man more appealing or arousing and always gave me this light tingly feeling. For very many years I have been in a same sex relationship and no words come close to the happiness we share together and I’ve noticed we have more passion and happiness then most heterosexual relationships. Never be afraid to be who you are, you deserve the right to be happy no matter the situation. Love is a magical thing and isn’t based on gender and everyone should be able to experience this sensation. I must admit though, living a gay life-style is far from easy and sometimes I’ve almost regretted being who I am because it has caused me so much pain, emotionally and physically because so many people are against it but I stood for what I believed in and no one can change my mind on what I love whether people think it immoral or unnatural.
‘gay lifestyle’ is unreal, as is ‘straight lifestyle’…as both adopt a concept of right and wrong that is needless, and is baggage beyond reality in terms of a more real love, that could be shared with people, period. Sex is not love; it is a demonstration of love, as is a kind act, a smile, a generous gesture.
it is sad, to me, that those most oppressed will oppress further, others, so that they may feel in some way superior to something or someone… and in control.
a gay person, that adopts this identity and through this identity may develop a great deal of compassion for others, taking every opportunity to help others, will often in fact be oppressed by those that they might wish to assist.
only love is real; and love is kindness.
all hierarchal structures pick on homosexuals. All structures that need to survive in a cruel political environment will find someone to exploit. The poorest man, without self-love, will still find someone to steal from in order to be a man, as defined by denial of feminine qualities and in order to assume some type of power and strength.
Read C. Jung. He has a great deal to offer in this regard.
this subject makes me quite angry at times. Because I care about the general well-being of people. And because my sense of love has always been exploited by the unintelligent, even family sometimes, for sake of power.
life is too short, so feel it full.
even before the birth of jesus christ,
there was homosexuality,,,
there were so many great historic men, who were gays,
i don’t know if it has something to do with the
reincarnation theory – where the soul of a female uncomfortly-fits in a male body, or vise-versa,,this was during the earlier times.
but now, even a 5year old kid, can do whatever he/she wants.
sexuallity is a very vast subject, at an early age of a confused man, he cannot easily tell, what he’s prefered to be,
it has always been involved in our universe,
even the very first breed of mankind!
those adhering to the dominant power structures only win by default. It takes little effort to move with crowd. Some call it smart. I call it lazy, and on many levels ego-centred tending towards arrogance. We blame the elite and corrupt for all of the woes of the world. Anyone that feels superior to others is elitist. It is in all cultures and so many people, at every level. This is what creates corruption.
Where is the compassion that results in the action called love? If there is such a thing as superior, it would be a teacher of love.
it is always the case that the dominate culture tends to corrupt. If I am a child of a same sex couple, or if I am an immigrate to a new country that has no idea of the cultural values I learned, then it is a struggle.
It doesn’t mean that my culture was wrong or the people that love me and cared for me are wrong. I just don’t happen to fit in to the accepted norms of a particular society.
When I am the other, I will be alienated. But if I can see beyond that perhaps I can offer something to others…and most importantly I may know that no matter who I am to others, I am important; and this world belongs to me as much as anyone else.
Love is Love…When one lover dies the pain hurts just as bad as a straight relationship. Love is private. Love is real. Love is now.
This is s subject that really interest me because after being married many years I realized that my essence was not being with a man but a woman..Of course it hasn´t been easy at the beginning for me being from a pretty conservative family, being 50 years old myself, having kids etc..
I don´t really like labels because it closes, reduces, restricts.. but I understand that we use words to explain, comment, share a subject… So when it comes to homo sexuality I would say that is just one aspect of our life, like being Republican or Democrat, Muslim or Catholic .. Nobody should be judged , blamed, criticized, we are free to chose what makes us HAPPY !!!
I don’t agree with this concept. But I hold no grudges. I can’t change it so let’s not fight over it.Peace to all.
I think that love doesn’t have any borders. Love between people who have the same sex is the same like love between people who have other sex. But I think, if homosexual couple
decide to adopt a child, they should think about one question: “Are we can raise a child without talking to him/her which orientation is better? Without talking to him about advantages of homosexuality, and disadvantages of heterosexuality?” Of course, this words relate to heterosexual parents, but in other side. Homosexual parents shouldn’t raise child with statement: “Homo is good, hetero is bad” and heterosexual parents shouldn’t talk to child: “homosexualism isn’t right with nature”.
I’m sorry about my english. I’m 15 and i’m learning english. =)

The same gender can love each other.
But does nature intend those genders to express that love in a sexual fashion?
Or can the love be expressed without having to add a sexual dynamic?
I believe same gender love can be expressed fully without having to engage in sexual relationships.
Then couldn’t the same go for heterosexual relations?
everybody has their reasons to be how they are. nobody should judge them just because their opinions or lifestyles, or sexual orientations are different…
I personally think, that these dissents are only because of people fears. it’s normal, that we fear, what we don’t know, but it’s 21st century. times have changed and personal lives are more exposed to public, than they’ve ever been, people should be more open-minded or, in my opinion, losing the connection with the outside world would be only the matter of time.
and yet, just be honest with yourself, if you’ll have to choose – to hide who you are or to be who you are, which would you choose – being a sheep that runs in crowd or a wolf that is not afraid of existing by their own rules?
Every time, when you judge, picture yourself in that persons place.
You don’t simply go and pick, who to love, you just do. Isn’t that what matters here – LOVE?
Who says that love between the same sex don’t exist, probably never loved anyone.
One thing is you think you’re in track, another thing is you think that your track is the only one.
Humans just love to complicate things. Not negating feelings of love in homosexual relationships but it really isn’t something that’s too natural or organic or normal. Divine order represents a balance between male and female, king and queen, can’t understand this same sex thing. Sorry. Its becoming so prevalent in popular culture, that the norm for our young children is to just go for anything when it comes to sexual relations, just about anything is acceptable. Sexed crazed western world.
thank you for speaking on behalf of the divine. I’m sure she is grateful. Please, for the sake of shared wisdom, point out the non-western structures in complete harmony. I am confident many would like to be in the know.
As a human being I want to be fair and compassionate to those who are different but I am so tired of this subject. Of all the commentary, and I’ve read most, Queenie nailed it for me. This is how I feel and think. The sexual revolution, “if it feels good, do it” has brought us many unintended consequences. When people talk about the rights of adults engaging in consenting relationships they forget that children are not consenting adults. The oversexualization of children and the gay propaganda is sickening. The concept of a gay adolescent is to me a funny concept that should not be encouraged but that is all we see in the media. As a parent, I will decide when and what is appropriate sexual information for my children. As a nurse I know only too well what dying of AIDS is like. I do not want the schools to be teaching about Heather having two mommies etc, etc etc. We have community standards because not all is accepted in a community of human beings. Love is expressed in many different ways and in some cultures even brutal ways are considered “normal”, should we adopt those as well in our western culture? I don’t bellieve in discrimination of any kind but stop trying to push gay marriage as the “norm”, try having your own children.
Love is love. I also have a theory that homosexuality is natural and necessary. Since there are a shitload of people on earth right now and have been for some time now, Nature found a way for people to not want to reproduce. Men with men and girls with girls. Nature did not take into account technology and things like octomoms.
Dear Carolina V,
My name is Zokhri Idris. I am sure that I cant go with girls but my surroundings been saying that what I am sure about is wrong. Hence when you said that you have a theory that it is natural and universal, I would like to hear it, please.

I love my wife dearly, and if anyone loves a partner like I love her, all power. Wilde was a writer who had his ways, but if you enjoy his books, his personal life should not matter. Gay or straight, love is love.
Peace.
love is love
peace. :)
In North America 50% of the so-called loving and stable, heterosexual relationships last. Of that 50% lasting there are many men, and far more women that are unhappy in the situation. It is a duty, then, to carry on the relationship and most often for the children. Added to this dysfunction is the fall-out to the children, where the relationship between parents is unhappy.
Heterosexuality and homosexuality are man-made concepts. Love is not a man-made concept, but a dedication. And yes, sometimes there is sacrifice for the sake of principles that one lives by.
If I, for instance, had no interest in being part of the body of humanity I would not waste my time here. Because for the most part, I think that ‘heterosexuals’ prop up their lie at the expense of others, just as a superior race would prop up their self-esteem at the expense of those who are different–different color, different culture.
Love is love, no matter how it plays out. I am sick and tired of people that dip their seemingly white dove wings in black ink, to write passing somethings on a wall of ignorance; in other-words without any knowledge what-so-ever, but their own prejudices or naivety.
Ask the BASIC questions; why, how, when, where…and at least pretend that you care about other people.
In addition, as I have said in a previous post, there is more to family than two, and procreation. Wake the f@@k up, and look at the world we are living in!
Man is made for woman and woman for man. Homosexual people can and do have genuine love for each other at times, just like in heterosexual relationships. However as much as I value all people and lifestyle choices I believe that same sex actual sexual relationships are not meant to be. Yes you can love anyone but I beleive that sex is meant to be between a man and a woman and is best experienced in a stable and loving relationship (like marriage).
I do not dislike the idea of homosexuality so much as I just think it is not the correct expression of love. I do dislike it though when people show hate towards people in homosexual relationships.
and ignorance is at least a subtle form of hate. People that have a particular taste for a particular paradigm have no right to past judgment on another, particularly if they are represented in the cruel majority. Point being…do your own thing and mind your own business!
