It takes ‘wisdom’ to minimise the number of mistakes we make. It all depends on the decision-making process. We must be careful and vigilant because some mistakes could be costly e.g. emigration to another country (leaving all behind in search of a better life and then being disappointed) or in life-threatening surgical procedures ( do the benefits really outweigh the risks?)
It is only when we are satisfied that we have weighed all the pros and cons of our decision that we can go forward with our eyes open and risk making a mistake. It would be naive to do the contrary.
If we make a mistake, no big deal, for as others have said, we learn from our mistakes and become ‘wiser’ and so the cycle continues > > >

It seems that my ‘lesson’ in this life is to learn how to … allow myself to make mistakes!! I have spent my life holding the … Scales, up and down… Not for finding the best solution for myself, but not to cause unhappiness to others..
So I do not really have found out what the .. less trodden path was going to offer me!!!
Over- ‘cautious’, an uncle of mine has ’seen’ in my palm and then I have read somewhere that ‘non-action’ is a.. devilish advice!! ;-]
I am, for sure, neither a .. Winner, nor a …Looser!!

I have a very good friend who was born on the cusp of Libra, but was told she was a Libran, because of this fact, she felt that she had to be fair and equal to everyone, and lived life in an unhappy marriage for many years, trying to be fair to everyone, but not actually being fair to herself.
I did her chart and it revealed that she was in fact a Scorpio, she was completely shocked and delighted, a little while later she left her husband (who immediately started a relationshp with a younger woman), had a beautiful love affair, moved to the country and has become interested in all things metaphysical.

Well, it is never too late to ..make mistakes!! and it is an easy thing to do!!
Start by today, and ‘make the mistake’ not to hold the scales, till it becomes a ..habbit! Make the mistake not to do something today, which is not important anyway, but something you always did it because you want to have everything in ..order, and so you did it anyway..
Be more….flexible! and spontaneous!!

oh so true.. that the path to wisdom is not being afraid to make mistakes.. BUT what does wisdom in today’s cruel and fast-going world is worth? what does it give us? ok so we are smarter – more wise and so? nobody is gonna bless us for that, nobody is gonna pay us for that, we wont get an award or something.. unfortunately wisdom has lost a lot from its value today… and i say unfortunately cause i really believe in wisdom, and we have all made mistakes in our lives and we will continue to make them.. but not all of us have learnt from them? so does that makes our wiser as well? no offence its just a thought i have…

Reading your post to Thelma has touched my heart, as previously when you have talked about your relationship with your parents. Not to be accepted for the way one is, often make us think we are making mistakes, when in fact it is your parents making the mistake for not being able to appreciate the very lovely Annie, we here in the blog get to ENJOY each day. A philosopher, Sartre said this; The enemy is the other, and what he means is nobody can understand our self better than our self. I can blame your parents for being so ignorant, they don’t even see the treasure in their own daughter, but then I do the same mistake myself, judge some person, only later to find out I was wrong.
Myself, I have had the scary opportunity to live alone, and in my daily life have time to myself, without constant opinions from the others, where I in peace and quiet can discover myself if you like. The image of people on a spiritual journey going to the desert, to be completely alone with the Divine and Evil, is a true way to find what YOU WANT, with no influence from anybody else. So, if possible dear Annie, is there any way you could get away from your family for awhile? Just get a break from those negative forces holding you, lovely butterfly soul captured? If not, remember you can always build your ‘Inner Castle’ (St Teresa of Avila), the mental place you can always retreat to, where nobody else can disturb you, your own treasure, where you are hundred percent confident you are doing just what you want to do, and what you believe is the right thing.

You are so right, Heart. We are blessed here every day by Annie’s presence. It is hard to imagine how the exquisite beauty of such a one as this could be missed by those closest to her.
Just remember, Annie, that you are not alone in this experience, as Jesus himself relates a similar experience in the Bible. He says: “A prophet is not without honour, except in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.” (Mark 6:4) It is their great loss if they do not recognize the light which shines in their presence. Dullards are bound to rail against the brilliance of that which they do not understand, but do not let their dullness dim that light which shines so clearly from within you. Shine on!!!

Funny thing, a few weeks ago, I was talking to my cousin, who is very close to me, and she suggested to go to India where there she has many friends in a yogi community – she has visited this place 3 times for 1-2 months each time – and she told me this because i love the forest and she said ‘do you wanna go to a tropical one??’ . She later explained that this yogi community lives in a forest, in the woods, (now that I think of it ,I don’t remember if it is a tropical one.. ;o) )
Maybe that would be a good idea after all, sis…
I like this ‘Inner Castle’ you said, I come across this ‘term’ for the first time,so i will have to google it later!
I find this place here, the wol community, all embraced with Love, so it is a ‘home’ to me..the home is where our heart is, not where our hat is, so I am lucky that there are exceptional people here.. you sis, and Savita, in this ‘home’..and maybe it is not a ‘home’ but it is a real home, because I feel here I can be exactly who I am, I can express myself, I am inspired all the time to do my music, and even when I ve got my blues, I read the blog and there is something there that ‘beautifies’ my world..so I am given the space needed to grow..and to grow the way I want to..
I always believed that one can grow when the environment around him is positive to his growing, as flowers grow when the environment is the suitable one..when there is not sun they can’t grow, when they are not watered they cannot grow, and so they wither before their time..flowers are carrying the possibility of immense beauty, but in this case it is a lost one..
likewise, people have the possibility of immense beauty, but when they fade like the flowers it is a lost one..

Hi dear Annie,
I just read your story about maybe going to a yogi resort in India, I just been to one on a tropical island in Thailand for 2 months and I can really recommand it! Not just this specific one, I think the bottomline is more or less the same in any of those places in Asia, but just the experience of it. Yogi people are generally very sweet and open hearted, and you’ll have plenty of time and mostly PEACE to find some Happy Shiny Sparkles back within yourself again. Yoga is an excellent way to find that… I think you should go for it!

Going to India sounds like a very good idea, I know you will love it there, it will be a place where you can really be free and create the music you like, away from the pressures and negating energy! Yes, Annie… Savita too and all the wol’s are making this an online home, where we indeed do get to the core of what life is all about. There is nothing like it in real life, where somebody will listen to all the crap we’re pouring out here hehe.
Annie! Go to India! You will LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. I visited Calcutta for 2 months, and it is probably the most adventurous journey I ever did. Perhaps you could even meet Aditya? Oh,… now I will not stop bugging you till you go :)
Yes, you can look for ‘Interior Castle’ by St. Theresa of Avila. She is an example of a very courageous individual seeking serenity, to the point where she often preferred to be alone, from being together with people. Also, if you read this book. Think about it…she had vowed to be silent, she hardly talked at all, just one hour every night for recreation. To me, it is impossible to shut my mouth :)
And yes, we should surround ourselves with positivity, and shy away from all that negative energy trying to destroy us. We are only human beings, and do hurt each other sometimes even here online, most of the time unintentionally I believe. Please do always let me know if I make the mistake to misunderstand you my dear little sister… That way we can clear the air, and keep on blossoming.
I got a post card unexpectedly from Australia today…my god people are traveling so much these days. Isn’t it wonderful!!!

All answers are within our hearts. When I read Heart’s comment I searched for your story in this blog. I do understand where you are going through and it takes a lot of strength and courage to go on.
Travelling is a beautiful way to embrace yourself and discover who you really are. When your heart tells you to go to India then you’ll be there soon.
When there is an environment who tries to rule your life there is always a way out by changing ourselves.
What I learned of my family is that whatever or whomever tries to impress you by their vision, road,…is that you don’t have to be attached to it.
Embrace yourself by giving you the voice of your heart, listen to it, it always silences uncertainties and gives positive energy…no matter where you are or with whom.
Don’t flee from negative energies when they surround you then go within and clean yourself with the voice of your heart.

Yes, travelling physically is a good way to discover who one really is, but there is also as you point out, the travelling to our Heart! I am trying the latter method, which I believe can empower anyone towards any circumstance.. and it is a ‘wonderful place’ ;o)

Dear Hildegard, I can really connect to what you say about being non attached to others visions… It is quite like that, although it takes a certain awareness, realization a subtle detachment from others visions, thoughts, and once we are aware, this changes the energy and makes it easier to detach.
This is strongest towards our families because we love them and feel very close to them and at the same time, can’t believe that they can do that, and this conflict is what causes us to take it as negative energy as I called it.

Now I have my ‘interior castle’.. ANd it is funny, sis, because I instead can shut up easily, most of the times I am in silence, except when singing or experimenting with my voice when composing..
BUt when I ll decide to go, I ‘ll definitely miss ‘here’ so much, it means so much to be here.. so much that I don’t know how it will be possible not to log in the blog every day.. but, please do keep bugging me, sis, sometimes all we need is a little push..
and the only thing I can imagine I ‘ll take with me will be my Sulfur..That is how I named my guitar when I got her, she is black, but when I touched her and begun strumming I felt my inside burning, and so I named her this way… she may be black outside, but it is like she has this hues of the sun, like she’s all fire , and I think I have neglected this ’sword’ for a while, so it might be a very good opportunity to be her and me..I ll miss my piano though, but I can’t pack my piano in a tiny bag ;o)
DOn’t worry, sis, I am one of those that when I feel misunderstood I do tell it to the other person to clear the air..I try to be straight and clear in everything I do or say, and this sometimes can be a ‘negative’ thing, at least with my family, but I am true to myself this way..

Mistakes, leads to a new journey in life. With every mistakes that we made, we learn and live through it. We gain more and more. Hence, in that order, we live up into our life, more and more.
Aprendemos más de la vida aunque paresca paradógico, cuando nos equivocamos, cuando de cada caída que nos damos logramos sacar lo mejor de nosotros mismos, olvidamos el dolor y seguimos caminando.
…and we have to realise that first, because before we do then anguish is the result. Think how many people don’t turn that energy around, instead they keep it inside and it becomes negative. Breathe out slowly and trust in the Universe, she will provide.
Because it is from the mistakes that we learned the most!!
