Author has many intelligent facts, I've learned a great deal. I’m confused as to why I didn’t add it as a bookmark before because it's surely a blog I want in my daily visit list. Thanks again, keep up the good work

this quote made me smile...I agree 100% on this one...people thought I can't achieve what I wanted but I did and it feels good...not because I proved them wrong but because I proved myself I can :)

I bet that a lot of people around say what you shouldn't do either, Mr. Coelho, but... it will be a pleasure to hear you as an international voice... lifting your voice not only in philosofical aspects of life but also in real politics, in causes like human rights... talking as a lider you already are in favor of human rights.. freedom of speach and communications.. in places like Cuba... China... Iran.. and having that way the pleasure of doing some politics too, despite some one tells you not to pronounce your self about specific country or dictatorship... you could do it! in the right sense of it, ...defending human rights!. Cuba does not have human rights!! and maybe... could say something, specially because you have cuban readers too.

Lao could say it because he knew himslef ! most of us have become so far removed from what we are, we let our lives get dictated by either 'love' or 'hate' or mostly both, we hardly know ourselves, we hardly know what we want and why we want it. the whole of zen is centred around only one thing to find one's original face. all meditation is but a preparation for that encounter with oneself. we have become so far removed from ourselves that this quote applies in a diffrent context. first we will have to beleive him and try to be ourselves ( without hurting others ) then this quote may become true for us, when we have enountered that within us which is in us we know and which is diffrent from us our wants, our prejudices, our desires, our mind. ttill we find that centre within which is without too, this quote is not applicable for us, i think !

Tu as pense a moi? C'est gentil ca.
J'ai pense a toi aussi, aujourd'hui.Qu'est ce que tu deviens? Raconte-un peu, je croyais que tu avais disparue. Tu me manquais bien.
Je suis toujours a l'ecoute.
Avec amour et graditude aussi
La musique a besoin de change sur le "mon espace" tu as pas remarque?

Dear Paulo,

Yes it is...

-Do what others think is not possible, think what others do is stupid.

-Life is not in forecasting who you will be, life is in casting who you are now.

-God is not THIS or THAT, God is you.

-Those who are fucked up in life, depressed and sad. Let them wake up even though in dark nights because they last very last.

-Divided we are,
Separated we belong,
Love is unexpected,
Might have to live along,
Greatest sins is nothing,
Love and only love,
Will Spring, in Spring
Maybe we will never see,
Maybe we will never touch,
Maybe we will never kiss,
But I will remember what we did
I will remember what we talked,
To find love, My love

God bless you all !

ON POSSO CREDER CHE POSSA RIMARE SEMPRE FORTE SOLO L' AMORE CHE SI NUTRE PER I FIGLI.

Life is too short. Let's leave "what if," and get moving. Take the challenge and whatever happens, it's always worth the effort. You are already a winner when you took the challenge and that's undescribable pleasure.

yesterday
my father
approached
my step-father
and
talked
to
him.

Hell is now more heaven...

and my father
is
most definitely
the one
surprising.

A 'miracle' of sorts
just happened.

Today, they come for coffee....
the miracle continues...

[and God did answer my prayers for this weekend after all... only not the prayer i thought i wanted most for this weekend!!]

Marie,

I don't think that the battle is ever fair. How would it be fair to compare a life of a person who lives in a wheelchair their whole life to a person who can walk wherever they want to. Or take any "pair" that doesn't really "match". Of course, this does not prevent of the possibilities which kind of a spiritual life a person can have, or how full their life will be. That is another wonderment.

None of us have the same start in life. We all have it different. And I agree with it. I've never tried to 'battle' against this one. And yes, we all have different 'truth' to search for - I agree with that.

I think we don't have to justify our actions to other people. Not all understand why one or other does a certain thing. Not all know our life and not all even care what we have been through or what we are 'batteling' with in our lives. And often this the reason why people are saying: "No, You cannot do this." Sometimes it it out of jealousy, or anger, or resentment, having the power over another... or whatever feeling someone might have towards us. What is a "problem" to one person, may be a "laughing matter" to other - if they don't want to understand a person. Not always do we understand, that what may seem easy to us can be a battle to someone else. That's why I had a problem with this quote - because it shows people like would have to - prove myself.

Why not live for ourselves.
Why not care less about others indeed, and start living on Your own "terms".
And why not at least try to understand more that surrounds us.

About projecting on others or ourselves.
I never think that the world is black or white. Some philosophical sayings, that may seem well-read, well-understood, seem simple, at first, have often deeper meanings to it. If You say, we are not projecting on others, but we project ourselves, I believe it's just half of the truth...

To do what we're told that we cannot do, needs often batteling with ourselves more than others - we have to convince ourselves, that indeed, we can do this. We are doubting? We need convincing of ourselves, not proving that we can to others. But in the end, to ourselves. Proving to others, as I mentioned, can actually be that battle, for a person, on it's own. I just hope that some day we can do things for the sake of ourselves, not for the sake of proving to others (or us), that we, indeed, can do it.

What I am trying to say, is:
not always is the look of others the break that cancels the truth searching. But it is us, ourselves - if we depend on the looks of others. And in which way we depend on it. Do we acknowledge it, that these people thing we could not do it, and live on without a care. Or do we keep it in our hearts and be afraid that - maybe I can't? ... or something else.

I guess that the lesson is, to always try to go a little further.
Always try to understand a little bit more.
Always try to grow a bit more.

Thank You for Your posting,
Love,
Liina

The point is indeed that humanity doesn't listen to his mind and soul. We are lost in our so called civilization.

The fact that I didn't expressed an opinion for the first 2 levels, doesn't mean that I don't have one. But I thought it would be more important to say my thoughts for the 3rd. By the way, I believe that #1 and #2 should be reversed, but I am not the one to claim that. If it is no use to hold an opinion, I think it will be proved to me later. For example, your opinion could be a message from God (God doesn't only use our heart or soul, but also our environment).

I NEVER wanted to judge the other 2 levels, however. There is no point doing so. Remember, what I said before about "evolving". Since I don't know and cannot prove the evolution of a soul or that there is reincarnation, the word "evolution" is somehow equivalent to "comparison". I just believe in different paths.

My dear Aditya, you misuderstood the words "not care". Actually, I think in such state of being (level #3), words just lose their meaning. In simpler words, these persons are a living example, whatever they do.

I am not sure I understood your last phrases about that priest, but what I know is that he is a good man, irrelevantly how strongly he believes. And his characters is all that matters to me.

Thank you again for your comments.
Take care my friend...

Dear Liina,

I'm sorry for the first message. I hope that you will understand my message better!

A friend docteur said to me something wich I keep in my spirit : “ we don’t projects on the others, we make only projects on ourselves”.

When I understood better this quote, I had accept better ours differences. I understand this quote of Paulo as that.
I think that each of us in his own truth. Every battle which we lead leads us towards our own truth. I find that we spend far too many time to wonder if our battle is fair. The look of others is a true brake in this research of the truth. We spend a lot of time to justify our actions to the others. I think that if it's important to search a sense in ours lifes, it's also important to find answers to be more consistent with oneself.

Therefore... Let us stop wanting always to clear ourselves! Let us be proud of our researches and of our answers. If some persons know better that you!... take your choices and these persons will also realize it!

yes yannis the divine message is received by our heart and our mind but are we listening to it, at least not everyone, then there won't be so much strife, pain all around. we need to be very careful, mind finds 1001 justifications to subdue the heart and that little small voice. u know there are certain signs which indicate if one is in sync with one's soul.

and about what that priest tols u, do u think it is of any use to hold an opinion on any of the three stages; it may be worth to live the three stages but what is the point in hvaing an opinion without experimenting with them. my 'take' on the three stages would be, 1 and 2 are same ( two types of people , some see light and some see dark ). third is worth living ( and dying for ), and let's check our opinions specially the once which are made in haste, have a tendency to be prejudiced. the third category, u say will not know, in fact its them alone who know anything that is worth knowing and u also say they won't care, zesus, buddha, the whole lot, they did not care ?! that priest also, may be he meant faith, but beleife is a poor sustitute for faith and if some one is suing them synnonymously well..... there can be reasons.

Hi annie,

the celstial peace maker !

all questions are ultimately useless and drop when one is afced with reality face to face, as i am sure everyone os us must have expereinced at least for a few moments. yet we will have to cross through the fire of questions.

and who should decide what is right for us. yes ultimately it is us alone, in a moment of action ( or inaction ) we are on our own, final decision is ours, the buck stops with us. but look at humaity as a whole, look back at your own life. life of your freinds, have we never regretde our decisions. have we never repent ! what does it tell us. being in sync with your heart with awareness that it is so, i have found to be very slippery, maybe it's not that difficult for you. possible.

enjoy !
