Enjoy your magic moment today, as it will not be here tomorrow.
And for all you here, a special Irish blessing for 2010: “may God in His infinite mercy grant you and yours a journey, of renewal and hope; a time of prayer and reflection”

I adore both these artworks. Love to see indifference to Phobos and Deimos in the girl’s face. Well, who knows what M. Cheval imagined when he created his masterpieces; I imagined that Lady stands on the god of war – Mars… Brave.

“NON CORONABITUR NISI LEGITIME CERTAVERIT” (“Without a legitimate battle there is no Victory”) – inscription on the high altar of Melk Abbey. Must agree.

That was my magical moment today & I enjoyed it.
Thank you Ilva, Loved it all!!!
Thank you Ilva! They are wonderful pieces of art and magic..
Happy New Year 2010 and I hope that the arrow will miss the .. pigeon of PEACE.
LOVE,
Thelma xxx
Thank you Ilva!
They are fantastic images. Purity and the wise fool for me, looking forward, warriors of love pointing the way for those lost to their own longing for a life never fulfilled. Love flying forward in the form of a dove, created from pure heart and spirit, but also from the wisdom of living and loving like a fool, with all your heart, paying no heed to convention or mortal rules, come what may. Two beautiful moments in one! :-)
Happy new decade from Ireland. Tuas maith, leath na h-oibre (a good start is half the work.)

BLUE MOON!!!
LOVE,
Thelma xxx
Thank you for the info, Thelma.
I will be on the look out tonight! I hope I can see it from my balcony, because it’s dangerous to be in the streets, for it is the custom here in Egypt that at the stroke of midnight people throw old medicine bottles, etc out of their windows and balconies to get rid of the ‘evil spirits’ and to bring in good health and good luck for the coming year !!!
Happy New Year, full of good luck and good health’
Theresa
Thank you Thelma for sharing. Have a nice celebration with your family. With affection, Jojo.
It is so beautiful Thelma,
Love and Gratitude

Hello Thelma.
I managed to see the Blue Moon at 6pm Egypt time. It was wonderful, like a huge glowing ball falling out of the sky! It really was a magical moment for me and I prayed for you and everyone. Of course, it is gone today!

May the wind be always at your back,

why are we born if we have to die ?i suddenly see this question. the god want we know the life’s precious ,the god want we live at the present ……just imagine if you ‘d never die ,the life would become terrible.there is one story :one nice man is received to the heaven by the angle as he died ,each day he lived in the garden and eat whatever he want ,do the things what ever he want ,one day he asked the angel :where is this ? the angel said :heaven .the nice man asked :if this is heaven then when can I call an end to it ?
the angel said :heaven is for ever .
what do you think the nice man will say ?
I think that story is not after death, but before we came to this earth, but please write what the nice man said :)
i guess the nice man will say “send me back to my earth”.
I think this is what your nice man would say. “Hey, where is the variety? I want to grow! I want to learn! This is boring!”
Consider this — that God/Goddess perhaps put us into these physical bodies so that we could progress (during our journey) in our understanding of the Universe and it’s PHYSICAL energies, and that we could learn how to communicate with him through prayer, scriptures, and reflection. When we die, we move on to other levels, depending on how we have developed on this world, where we continue to learn — especially of love and its infinite power. Finally, when we have experienced and learned what we need to, we reach a point in our growth were we can become a God/Goddess.
This makes “May God in His infinite mercy grant you and yours a journey, of renewal and hope; a time of prayer and reflection.” have a deeper meaning.
This is something that I have been pondering.
Love and beautiful light to you all,
Lainee
I love to live in past.It contains lots of happiness,sorrow….etc.but i love my past because its mine.i own that…..
Ahh, how I tried to forget my past, how many books I red about forgiving, accepting and not thinking of the past. I did not succeed. It was almost not possible to forget the past even if I wanted. But someday I was walking in the early morning and I realized that I was thanking Life, God, Love for my past.
if lose the present by living the past ?
there is no way to live in the past.
there is no way to live in the future.
both are solely constructs of the mind.
reality only exists in the moment – if the person is aware and have woken up :o)
just check this: talk to somebody about an event that you both had together. and then go through details. you will see how differently both perceived & remember this event. I did it once with somebody on an event that happened the day before ….
since then the past is for me purely subjective and I do not weigh it so much anymore.
Dear Askar, I respect your love for your past. But I wish to add that for me there is to be in love with the present, without forgetting where one comes from. There is a say in AA that goes like that: As I wished to forget the past, I will never forget it. Need to retain lessons from the past to build a brighter today and so a brighter tomorrow. I wish you Askar, with all that you are, a great year 2010. With affection, Jojo.
I did just this Paulo..
I got off the train in Edinburgh, Scotland.. this evening…
and after being met by my father, we parked the car and walked to join the candlelight procession that led up the hill to where… fireworks were then set off!
Magical.
and fantastico!
[If not for my father, this Edinburgh taown would have spooked me again and I would never stop to stare and stand ;o)]
When you follow your heart and let God guide you, time is irrelevant, and there are no moments, only now.
Very good Daniel The Power of Now.
Reading that quote makes me reflect that a magic moment is not only a moment in a day. A magic moment is there in the present during all day, since I am the magician. It all depends on what I do with my skills. Having said that, yes, I will make that magic and take it, receive it, be nourished by it. It is amazing how the Universe works. As I just got out (decided to get out) of the Dark Side of the power, I stumble on that quote. What I learned is that I have the power of a magician that I do not consciously utilize and/or utilizes without knowing its effect on me. I know depicted my worst enemy: Fear. Fear is a great force and it took all my powers of the magician and warrior that I am to fight it, without knowing that I was in that battle giving power to that Dark Force. Now, I am ready to go visit, experiment and acquire the energy of the powers that are within the magician that I am, a power that comes from the Universe in which I am one in unity. Every moment is a magic one that I need to acknowledge and be totally in acceptance and in openness. I know truly believe that I am the one who has the power to make a moment magical and to retrieve from that moment all the nourishment that I need to pursue my personal legend. With affection and love, Jojo.
Yes, thank you Jojo!
Understanding ‘fear’ is the key. :-) Magic is in our fingertips!!!
Love and beautiful light to you,
Lainee
When we are aware of the very limited control we have on our lives and realized how complex and perfect is the divine design of our existence, we start to appreciate and love every single moment of our journey. We thank for the good, we thank for the bad, we thank for the the food, for the air, etc.
For magic to happen we need to position ourselves as a receptor of a grater divine force.
Love
You are right..every single moment can be magical. Thank you, Marcelle.
Candles
Days to come stand in front of us,
like a row of burning candles -
golden, warm, and vivid candles.
Days past fall behind us,
a gloomy line of burnt-out candles;
the nearest are still smoking,
cold, melted, and bent.
I don’t want to look at them: their shape saddens me,
and it saddens me to remember their original light.
I look ahead at my burning candles.
I don’t want to turn, don’t want to see, terrified,
how quickly that dark line gets longer,
how quickly one more dead candle joins another.
Constantine P. Cavafy
When I read the quote I immediately thought of this poem of C.Cavafy’s and how our days seem to be like candles.. The Right, Magic Moment is the one that we live right now. This is what we, only, have! The present MOMENT.
Have a … wonderful, joyful, healthy moment, my dearest Paulo Coelho and friends, Warriors of the Light.
LOVE,
Thelma xxx
I loved it. Hugs and kisses to you Thelma!
Thank you, Thelma. Let’s live our lives so that when we do happen to turn around for a second or two, we can smile at each burnt candle remembering the beautiful moments that have shaped us.
Love and warm light to you,
Lainee
Every time I do Reiki I find I am more in tune to all the magic in the air. The world and it’s miracles have so much more clarity. At the moment I am having many signs sent to me to let me know that my dreams are possible, this is what I call magic. The universe talking to me in the only way it can. By sending people, images, words, songs etc… And each thing is a miracle to tell me that there is magic in the world and that it can help me reach my destiny.
Sending Love
x
Beautiful Alex.
I’m hoping for my magic moment in March 2010. I’m looking forward to your party and MGP (January). I could definitely take a magic moment or two before that. But the signs and my economy are too weak to explore opportunities. I think I’ll write to the Pope and see what happens. I believe I should meet him and tell him some of my stories. Is that a good idea?
If it is what you really desire, YES IT IS.
Love
Olta
Christmas always passes by so quickly…
whoooooosshhh!
Unfortunately!
It does not matter what you do and with whom you are, if the magic is there, it is. For me these magic moments is combined with faith and like my faith it comes and goes.
I don’t think I can agree with you on this one Dear Hope.
I don’t know if with faith you refer to faith to God and his miracles who are going to make our life beautiful, but on this I can tell you about people who believe in no God and still have learned how to enjoy their moment in a good way.
And people who believe very very much but they definitely don’t know how to enjoy their moment and they might have peace in their lifes but no Joy.
But maybe you meant something else.
Love
Olta
You’re so right.
I had many magic moments today. I mean, everyday is a miracle and there are lots of such moments, but not everyday I can feel them as I did today. Thank you God, may everybody can enjoy their magic moments as I did today.
And here there are some quotes to enjoy Today:
Write it on your heart that everyday is the best day of the year.( Ralph Waldo Emerson)
Greet each day with your eyes open to beauty, your mind open to change, and your heart open to love. ( Paula Finn)
Live your life each day as if you would climb a mountain. An occasional glance towards the summit keeps the goal in mind, but many beautiful scenes are to be observed from each vantage point.( Harold B. Melchart )
Stop worrying about the potholes in the road and celebrate the journey! ( Barbara Hoffman )
The only way to live is to accept each minute as an unrepeatable miracle, which is exactly waht it is : a miracle and unrepeatable.( Storm Jameson )
I will say that if you are alive, you got to flap your arms and legs, you got to jump around a lot, you got to make a lot of noise, because life is the very opposite of death. And therefore, as I see it, if you’re quiet , you’re not living. You ‘ve got to be noisy, or at least your thoughts should be noisy and colorful and lively. ( Mel Brooks )
Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine. ( Anthony J. D’Angelo )
Much love
Adriana
I think –
Every moment we have is unique,
Every moment we have is precious,
Every moment we have is magical.
Let us make the best of each moment!
I would like to share with you the song of Whitney Houston:
One Moment in Time
Each day I live, I want to be
A day to give the best of me
I’m only one, but not alone
My finest day is yet unknown.
I broke my heart for every gain
To taste the sweet, I faced the pain
I rise and fall, yet through it all
This much remains
I want one moment in time
When I’m more than I thought I could be
When all my dreams are a heart beat away
And the answers are all up to me.
Give me one moment in time
When I’m racing with destiny
Then in one moment of time
I will feel, I will feel eternity.
You’re a winner for a lifetime
If you seize that one moment in time, make it shine.
Give me one moment in time
When I’m racing with destiny
Then in that one moment of time
I will be, I will be free, I will be free.
Songwriters: John Bettis, Albert Hammond. (Abridged)

Great song! Thank you, Theresa.
Yes, I’ll make myself a ham sandwich and drink some Pepsi!
That is definitively enjoying the moment.
Bon Apetit!
That’s the spirit !!!
I’m with you Den — especially the Pepsi!!!
I don’t want to dampen your spirits, but this is a good example of how sometimes our magic moments can actually be quite harmful to us…cholesterol..sugar..soda..!!! ?
Well DR, you seem to have mastered the art of blogging…I’ve never seen anyone get such a huge response from a ham sandwich and a Pepsi !!!
I think that life is a magic moment if you want your live without fear (sometimes it’s not posible… sorry¡), if you live your live wiht courage. Life is not always like we want, but if we are alive we fight, that’s enought to live life plenity. Life is a magic moment when we live whit pasion.
Sorry for my.
Enpie, Your english post is fine. I read(google translate) your comment that was in Spanish, and now you are posting in English so fast! Have a great 2010!
Thank you, Paulo for the reminder of the power of now :o)
when Olta says to live as if there is no tomorrow …
and Alexandra describes a beautiful sunset with all the “extra work” that comes in to enjoy it …
I am looking at my sunset now (at 1.30pm – the sun is already higher than a week ago) and it becomes magical.
if we stop and look deep, what is not magical then?
Today is a gift and I will use it memorably way and thanks for reminding ti once again
I was sitting at the tram station this afternoon, waiting for the tram to arrive, a young woman came and sat on my left smoking a cigarette, I asked her if she mind to move onto my side and I onto hers as I had problems with my lungs. She said “yes” and we started a conversation about her thinking of having children and wanting to stop smoking.
That was my magic moment of the day.
Every single day has its magic. But we would be far too perfect if we could always see it. That’s why I would also say that if there’s a tragic moment today, tomorrow it might disappear.
When I was little and it happened to find myself into very difficult moments, I used to tell myself “Olta don’t mind. Think about a few days later when you are going to find yourself laughing on this.” But today I don’t know if this is a good think. It is just like escaping from the present, just trying to live for tomorrow. What happens if you have a head a worst one than the one you living now ?
Love
Olta
This is so true. We never know what will happen, sure, we hope the best, but…So, we must stop and enjoy the few magical things that we might encounter in our way. Now I was just looking out from my window, wonderful sunset…wish I could share, but, no more feature …Sometimes I think is hard carry things at third floor, so on, but this view is so delightful, and even night, with all lights. I live in city center, core of the city, so must appreciate that luck, even if has some side effects, some things not easy. Well, yesterday I spent time with my niece, she is so optimistic, and she like spending time with me. Even dog was happy for niece visit.
Love you all
I guess even writing here now is a magic moment
The Sunset is so magic! It makes me start dreaming. I want it to last longer.
Love
Olta
Once, when I used to feel depressed and very down, while trying to find out a way how to cheer up I had the idea to write in a peace of paper this words,
What if I die tomorrow?
I could see that every morning, when I would open my eyes. To be honest, it didn’t work as I expected. Maybe it was to drastic for me…hehehehe, but it was useful in one thing; on reminding me that the world was going on, having great time and I had chosen to lie in my bad feeling sad. So I started to react from time to time.
Today every day I see those words, in one hand I want to remove them from there above, for letting no one see them and start to worry. heheheeheh ;PP But in the other hand sometimes when I want to get up from my comfort zone and enjoy some new possibilities, but I fear, those words are there to remind me of how I used to be and where I am. I start to think for where I can be in the future, if i just choose to live now what is given to me without waiting for tomorrow…
Love
Olta
It seems that living each day as if you will die tomorrow is the easy part; what makes it hard is that you probably will NOT die tomorrow, so you must continue to live with the choices you make today.
Never mind tomorrow Olta, you might die today, so maybe you shouldn’t leave anything undone or unsaid!
Everyday can be the best day no matter what you face, everything is a gift if you can see the present in it
loveNlight
Gabi
True, enjoy your magic moment today but look forward to another one tomorrow, they happen all the time.
Shane.
Is it enough to just enjoy it? Even though it will not be here tomorrow, the effect of it will. If you enjoy it, how you enjoy it, when and where you enjoy it will have bearing on tomorrow.
As you enjoy today’s magic moment, be mindful of the drop of oil in the spoon.
but it’s difficult ,there are many times ,i met the special person ,I didn’t think important at that time ,when he passed me by ,i won’t find him again ,I ‘d feel so regret .even if the dearest one i have met in my life ,at the right time i didn’t enjoy him very much .and it’s hard for me to have a meet with him once more nowadays,we have to keep in touch with the phone .i always feel so sad ,i didn’t look at him as close as I can .i even didn’t give him a hug as we’re apart because I feel shy !you can’t turn back the moment any more!
If your heart wants to love, let it love. If your arms wants to hug let them do it. If your lips want to talk, let them speak. If you you feel like talking to them on the phone, do it. Do that every time you feel like, in the name of love, because Love is magical, love can read minds and souls, and she lies in our heart.
“The heart has reasons that reason can’t explain” (I don’t know the author of this one)

so true Paulo…
How easily the silent lake can be disturbed by a single rain drop.
Here’s to a New year where the magic rules uninhibited!
Before sleep still thinking about this lovely Quote of the Week, and it reminded me of a poem that a grandmother kept framed in her sitting room:
“I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do, or any kindness or abilities that I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer it or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.”
- William Penn
More Love, Jane : ) and Good Night too!
Thank you, Jane,
I love this quote. May we never look the other way when we see someone in need. Your grandmother must have been a very kind woman. I think the things we treasure the most, for example the ‘framed’ quote you mention, reveal a great deal about us as individuals.
Love, Theresa
Amen
Thank you Paulo,
I will enjoy each magic moment and appreciate them.
When living for Today, tomorrow is a figure of speech (something I hope for), and every new day is the present called Today!
Merry New Year and Love to All, Jane : ) xo
Thanks Annie! Someone recently told me my energy is all about love, but I have to open myself and allow things into my heart, and in so doing allow my own love out into the world in its fullness. This quote is a good reminder of the homework I’m supposed to be doing on this! ;-)
With love, Daniel
I’ve had this strange way of life for many years already _ I live each day as if it were the first one ever after, but never the last one.
hehehe You are definitely right!
Love
Olta
Hi.. Tekst is Lyrics. It’s a song.. :O)
Klick on button called LYTT It’s the norwegian word for Listen.
Now you learned a little of my languange too.. lol
Tekst : Lyrics
Lytt : Listen
Happy listening – and it’s a song straight from my heart.
:O))
Actually after I wrote those words in that piece of paper, I started to think “Girl, who assures you that you aren’t going to die today, or even in this right moment ? You still think that all what is about to happen it will happen latter…This is not ok yet!”
Thank you Daniel!
Love
Olta
I am curious! 3:)

yes, and the hues of colors are never the same. Else, walking in the old fortess, now park, make me feel calm each time…is a special place, fresh clean air, quiet, majestic feeling, and around the noisy city.Like an oasis.
Love Alexandra
I agree with you dear Olta Ana. I believe you can believe and have faith even if you dont mention God at all and vice versa :)
Hugs and kisses to you, beautiful Marta Adriana, too!
It is a beautiful poem but a melancholic one .. To look back and see the series of the already burnt candles.. our past days.
LOVE,
Thelma xxx
And I’m quite sure the pig is not enjoying the moment at all… :-D
Moderation in all things. I will have to admit though, that I am a Pepsi-holic — diet that is.
Yes, even sad moments can be beautiful with the right eyes.
Love you, Annie and Thelma — Looking forward to meeting you.
Lainee
No because a moment can be a moment ago, or a moment before :p
And I think the Zen monk would say of pigs being eaten “It’s ok, they’re used to it”. :D
Best not to think too much of the “way out” though. Eww.
Hi Annie,
Well I must say that your cooked turkey will be really ‘magical’ by the time you have finished with it, with all the ‘spices and things’! And yes, it will be much healthier and we can eat it in peace!
Take care, Theresa
Love you both and looking forward to meeting you..
LOVE,
Thelma xxx
what if past, present and future is one?
I personally have the tendency to go into the past when the present is too hard on me in order to “get a break” :o)
I sometimes choose nice past situations that give me some hope. so, the past can serve to “pamper my soul” and I know I can get lost in it.
that’s the reason I need meditation ….
Hi Elaine,
Yes, I agree, moderation is the key! Diet all the way…! Then we can enjoy the magic moment without feeling too guilty about it! I left you a comment over on the previous page of WOL, but the page disappeared! Oh well…Gone with the wind!
Anyway take care,
Happy New year with peace and love,
Theresa
Yes, I agree, Olta.
At some moments we feel it would be magical to ‘do’ something; to love, hug, ring someone. It’s better to seize the moment, than put it off till some other time, when the magic may be gone! And who knows, we could even give a magical moment to someone else!
Love, Theresa
Yes Annie I do know it and now decide that it is time to pratice those magical skills. Love to you, Jojo.
And you are the magician who can make that prohibition sign dissaper :-)
Love, Jojo.
As soon as you think about it, it is gone!
Love you, Theresa. Have a great New Year.
yes .he said “that’s a hell ,can I die once more?”
point .do you know Arthur Schopenhauergood have said :human beings can’t live in the past or future ,but now only a moment ,even this moment which passed so quickly that can’t be capture .
Thank you!! Did the angel answered any more?
I don’t know.
if one lives in the moment -> one lives in the now.
if one lives in the present -> one focuses on moment after moment after moment.
time gets stretched and becomes infinite because of the perception of each (little) moment.
this approach can be done in meditation. and when I do it on a retreat, it appears to me that the moment becomes so slow as if it has stretched. afterwards, my perception of small fast movements in people’s faces and their body language appears to be so slow that I have time to recognize them and understand.
YES, living now this moment. This is just my thinking not my answers: The life is a dance, a big big party…every creature dances every human dance evey action dance nothing is still, not even moments everything changes in a big harmony multiples and become one explodes and multiples again and become one everything towards one beautiful which is all…in this dancings it makes cirkles, rectangulars, triangles moves one of moves are circle and time can dance in this circle sometimes.
Bonjour Elaine!
Yes, understanding “fear” is the key, and for me experiencing so much time and now “seeing” what the energy of fear can create. And I am grateful for those experiences who proved me that I am a magician that can create, but no more responding to the entity of Fear that invaded me and invades the world in so many subtil ways. With affection and a kiss of Light! Jojo.
Satoraki, this is very beautiful!! Thank you and my best wishes.
LOVE,
Thelma xxx
Thank you, beautiful Catherine, too. My sister has given me the information about the Blue Moon and the Eclipse!!
She is a star … gazer too!!! Where are you, Paul???]
Have a nice party too! Tonight I am going to my daughter; she is cooking for us! I am a lucky MAMA, in life and in the … Blog, dear Paulo!
LOVE,
Thelma xxx
Walking home just a few minutes ago I saw the beautiful moon high in the sky and the eclipse…it was quite stunning…
With loving kindness,
Satoraki
Thanks Elaine for sharing. May this year 2010 see you become a Goddess. Regarding your comment, I think sensibly the same. I wish you non-stop here and now moments in the Light. With affection, Jojo.
Wow !!good custom
Breda
thank you! I live about an hour from where these scenes are from! he he
Thank you, Breda.
I recently learnt that there are many other verses to the prayer. I’m of Irish descent, but grew up in England! I’m now living far away from both!
Take care, and many blessings,
Love, Theresa
Thank Jojo,
My post was a bit out there, right? :-) I just get excited at the possibilities. The Universe is there for us and if we will work with her and love her, she will help us to grow in immense ways.
Here’s to a year of immense positive growth for all who inhabit this world.
Love and warm light,
Lainee
no eclipse here, of course.
but a big, bright moon at 4pm.
it brought so much light reflected from the snow. you could go in the woods and saw your trail.
we made a bonfire for the moon & the new year at midnight. the sky had clouds but where the moon was there were no clouds.
Thank you all my beautiful friends, Theresa, Breda, Kealan [the Moon's photographer!!], Satoraki, Catherine Martinez[we will finally meet in 2010!!], Hildegarde, Rosa, Jojo, Annie[Swan-nie] and all the others for looking up to the Sky to our wonderful Full Blue Moon!
And instead of singing ..’without a love of my own and a dream in my heart’, may we will always sing: ‘with LOVE, LIGHT and DREAMS in our Heart’: our North Star’ guiding us.
LOVE,

Dear Elaine, personally, I decided to make 2010 a year of experimenting the power of the Universe. I got it wrong before because I was utilizing that power fighting fears and trying at the same time. Now, I understood that that power is one that must be utilized without any concept of fear. Faith refuses fear, does not fight fear. Universe is confident and free. You know, my wish for you to see you become a Goddess, well pertains to me too. That is my objective for 2010. I decided that it was way time to let go of that negative energy of fear in my life, a fear that has been installed during this life but also that has been installed from one generation to another. As you say, may 2010 be the year of immense positive growth for all. I know that that wish is an objective for me NOW. With affection, Jojo.
Thank you Jojo. I am with you Goddess of 2010. Let’s make this a positively, loving year.
Love ya,
Lainee
