Quote of the Week

by Paulo Coelho on March 15, 2010

I believe that when we look for love courageously, it reveals itself, and we attract even more love. If one person really wants us, everyone does. But if we’re alone, we become even more alone. Life is strange…

What is courageous love? Is it when one exposes himself even if he knows he can be hurt? Is it when one accepts to be changed by the other in the process of love? And is there a red line that cannot be crossed? Where courageous love ends and self humiliation starts?
Poets and anchorites love their loneliness. Does this mean they are unable to love?

yes, it is, mr coelho…….. life is strange, but how good we are, could survive to live in this strangest world, rite? your thoughts are really inspiring :)

I think it is not strange. If we know we are loved, we air a special aura. That attracts sympathy and love of other people.

I don’t really believe that “If one person really wants us, everyone does”, rather, if one person wants us, then MANY others do, but definitely not everyone. Those who will want us are the ones who share the very basic values. I think people realy are different based on their choices, which are based on their values. No one will ever be wanted by everyone.

Life is strange…I did notice that, and I think maybe sometime we must be alone…for a while. Not too much time.
I enjoy good company.

I do not think that we must …. go out in search for love! Love is a state of mind and soul. IF we ARE love, we send to the … UNIVERSE vibrations of love. Those vibrations are returned to us seven times stronger. The same happens if we are sending vibrations of jelousy, hatred or disaster. The choice is ours.
I do not really agree with: if one person really wants us, everyone does! I think that what is happening is that if you are with ‘somebody’ then others feel ‘safe’ that there will be no … competition between you and them!!!! ;-] The same applies to: If we are alone, we become even more alone! It is the ‘FEAR’ that something is going to be .. taken from them. So they prefer the safety of avoiding the single [alone] person.
LIFE is NOT strange. Simply people are NOT generous. ;-] I always look around for the people that are alone and … join them. A smile and a good word cost nothing and each one of us .. has a story to tell and something to teach us.

So true! But what if we look for love and it is not in our reach/geographical location. Should we go to it? Or will it come and find us?

I think, life is not strange. It just Law of attraction. And it is really great, because we can be creators.

You think you are alive
because you breathe air?
Shame on you,
that you are alive in such a limited way.
Don’t be without Love,
so you won’t feel dead.
Die in Love
and stay alive forever.

Strange indeed…this thing called love. Loving itself an act of courage…for the many responsibilities that come with it…and if giving be loving, then the more we give, the more we love and the more love we receive

Thuli March 15, 2010 at 1:35 pm

and how does one look for love courageously? I thought love ought to find you!
