My Beatles moment

by Paulo Coelho on March 27, 2010

To lead a better life,
I need my love to be here.

Here, making each day of the year
Changing my life with a wave of her hand
Nobody can deny that there’s something there.

There, running my hands through her hair
Both of us thinking how good it can be
Someone is speaking but she doesn’t know he’s there.

I want her everywhere
and if she’s beside me I know I need never care.
But to love her is to need her

Everywhere, knowing that love is to share
each one believing that love never dies
watching her eyes and hoping I’m always there.

I want her everywhere
and if she’s beside me I know I need never care.
But to love her is to need her.

Everywhere, knowing that love is to share
each one believing that love never dies
watching her eyes and hoping I’m always there.

I will be there, and everywhere.
Here, there and everywhere.

Because the world is round it turns me on
Because the world is round.

Because the wind is high it blows my mind
Because the wind is high

Love is all, love is new
Love is all, love is you

Because the sky is blue, it makes me cry
Because the sky is blue….

‘MY’ Beatles moment: “Because the wind is high (…) Because the sky is blue…”

>>>

Four years ago I had a dream… The blind Bulgarian healer Vanga (short for Evangelia) came to me with the ‘g o o d n e w s’ and told to go to the castle hill, and in front of the most Saint Jesus Heart Cathedral to receive my Gift… The same day I arrived home with the heart-shaped treasure – the Stone. And believe it or not, He put me to sing a song “Nel blu dipinto di blu” (“In the Blue Painted Blue”), known as “Volare” (“To Fly”):

I think that a dream like that will never return,
I painted my hands and my face blue,
then was suddenly swept up by the wind
and started to fly in the infinite sky.
(…)
And by flying, by happily flying
I find myself higher, higher than the sun
and while the world moves far away from me
a sweet music is played only for me…

>>>

On March 17th I entered a church in Melk (not Abbey); went to the altar… to find out which page is opened in the Altar Book —> it was the page with the “Blessing prayer over the people” (“Segensgebete über das volk”). And here I rememered the words of Alexander Pope: “Blessed is the man who expects nothing, for he shall never be disappointed.”

Wishing a blessed and silent Easter!

le titre de la chanson est interessant.

“here, there and everywhere”

ca me fait penser aux femmes en general qui peuvent accomplir plusieurs taches a la fois, peut etre cela explique une des differences entre l’homme et la femme, en principe un homme se concentre sur une chose a la fois .

just a thought..

I am now the wind and hear more and more people singing

Imagine there’s no Heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one

My heart is full of joy knowing that the hope is growing by second in the world. We’ll all soon find the Light. God is in us, HE was allways there.

Dear Mr. Coelho,
Hello,
I am Alireza from Iran. I am a young reader of your books.
In your book named, Veronika decides to die, you mention a point in a sentence that
is: “take the risk of being different, but learn to be different without absorbing other
people’s attention. I have 2 questions here.
1- Why should we try to be different? I mean what are the merits of being different?
2- How can I learn to be different, without absorbing other people’s attention?
Farsi translation of the sentence I wrote above is:
خطر متفاوت بودن را بپذیرید، اما بیاموزید که بدون جلب توجه متفاوت باشید.
The translation was by Arash Hejazi in Caravan publication.

May the joy be with you …

Like Marie-Christine, I was in London when the Album “Abbey Road” was released. I had the LP but it got broken on it’s way to Egypt! I remember shouting at the men in the Port Authorities for breaking it! They must have thought I was an idiot for making such a fuss about a piece of plastic! But never mind, the songs live on and have shown that like true love, they can withstand the test of time, and are still being listened to by so many people all over the world.
Thank you for posting them here. It is nice to listen to them again.

Alireza March 27, 2010 at 11:36 pm

Mr. Coelho,
Hello,
I have question. First let me let you know I am Alireza from Iran. In your lecture at
Hafez hall of Shiraz in 1379/3/7 (2000/may/27), in answer to one question, you
talked about the ancient Greeks belief in the existence of 3 kinds of loves. The first
one is Eros, the second one is Philos and the third one is Agape. The first two loves
are clear, but you didn’t provide enough explanation about the third one, Agape.
The intention of my writing is to ask you give me a perfect explanation of that love.
Thanks in advance
I wish you health and longevity

The beatles are ageless, people of every generation listen to them and can listen to the same songs over and over again! It is beautiful to share the same love of a band with people of all ages, cultures and tastes!

It’s not very often that one band can reach so many ♥

When love overwhelms us,the world around us starts priobrozat`sa. We are starting to see those things that you`ve never noticed before In our modern world unfortunately we rarely hear about love. But it is true love can overcome and make us a little kinder.

‘But to love her is to need her’!

‘Love is all, love is you’!

Beautiful songs; they are classical music now. The lyrics are so true and direct. What is more to say than LOVE IS YOU and to love somebody means to need him/her! To think it is impossible to live without our beloved, without seeing love into his/her eyes. The ‘sparkling’ eyes, the tender look, the airy touch.
‘In love’: we all become poets. ;-]
LOVE,

Love … that has been for many years and I think for ever my search of understanding that concept … it was always for me a dimension which I am, possess but seem to find difficult to expand in the different communities in which I had and have to interact with, be it with parents, brothers, husbands, “friends” … As of maybe two days ago, I was ready to just live that “love” in many dimensions, but not with a man … because the love I have learned and lived, experienced as of today is not the one that I seek. Leaving for Montreal from Melk, there was a library. There are two books that I have not been able to find of you, Paolo, and one of them was there. And it opens with the concept of the “Ame Soeur” … was never thought or educated to see that concept. And then, all of the sudden, there is my friend who shares with me an encounter with a man, her who was in her life at the same point that mine in her life. Well, I am opened to that concept now. All the time that there is a reference to love between a man and a woman, I used to not even want to give a feedback or anything … and those words of the Beatles … I want a love but a love that has no dependance. I want the power of love with freedom. I want the power of love for creation, a team, and for me as of today the men on my path well had not that concept. Since I am getting out of the structures of love, of “couple” as defined for many years on one side of the track, I was not able to see any light, or the other path. Now, I am entering it. So, those words about how the other can influence, become somebody important, letting him or her be do not scare me anymore. Because yes fear with present for me in letting myself be opened to sharing my energy again, since in all past relations I was more drained from it than nourished.

You shared a lot on that concept of love between two … which is ok for me but which in the “intimate level with a man” I could not find and for which I lost hope and that did not even made me sad. I was ready to pursue as a “solitary warrior” … but as I read I was falling in a trap. Seeing you with Christina, feeling it, made me at first ask myself many questions but I could sense the power of the team, the force that unite you. Finding your book “par hazard” which stars with that concept, astonished me … and then your sharing of the Beatles … be it like I said one week ago I would have laughed at the “naiveté” of those words … but I do not anymore. I let go all that I was taught, all that was reproduced before my eyes, all that was heard and now am going myself on that path, on that quest. I see the path, the light, and am ready to live the experience, the love has conceived from the Spirit.
Love, Jojo.

A beautiful song to end a beautiful night.
