Thank you for reminding me that I need to buy a copy of the book (I have read it but I lent it from someone, while I own most of the other books by Paulo Coelho) for taking it with me on a 4 months travel that me and my boyfriend are doing from August to December. That’s because we choose who we want to be: travellers :)

Ho letto tutti o quasi i tuoi libri, ma solo ieri ho finito l’Alchimista. Una bella favola che si può narrare anche ai bambini, una bella storia che tutti vorremmo vivere e che forse viviamo senza saperlo.
Credo che Will Smith è un bravissimo attore, innanzitutto perchè ha scelto di fare bellissimi film e poi perchè è (almeno da quello che evince dalle interviste)un uomo impegnato nel sociale e credo intelligente. Bel binomio Colelho-Smith, perchè non fare un film insieme?

Paulo, uso o espaço para te mandar uma mensagem, sei que ouve isso todos os dias, em todas as linguas e das formas mais diversas, mas lá vai…sua história de vida me inspira..sempre escrevi, desde criança, mas ouvi de meu pai o mesmo que você ouviu, escritor não ganha dinheiro…não segui minha lenda ainda, publicar um livro, inspirar pessoas, tocar corações…vivo me desviando pelo caminho, mas acredito que sejam necessários os desvios para acrescentar uma história…enfim, sempre encontro em suas palavras aquilo que já sei…tenho as respostas de todas as perguntas aqui dentro, mas as vezes com a chuva fica dificil enxergar…então Deus nos coloca a ‘luz’ ou pessoas ‘iluminadas’ para nosa ajudar…obrigada, obrigada, obrigada…hoje e sempre por suas lanternas emprestadas…um dia agradeço pessoalmente e se Deus permitir, retribuo-as.

And yes, The Alchemist is an excellent book well worth reading, but not becuase Will Smith says so!

Hello Keith, just to comment that is not Will’s saying which makes his words a wonder but the fact that his words are no more than another tool from the Universe to spread the words of wisdom in this book. Maybe is not a big deal to you or others that Will Smith or any other Hollywood star makes the comment, but the true value of this experience which makes us feel proud is the fact that Paulo’s work is being recognized for one more soul in this Universem regaedless of where or whom is this coming from. If you realise, He did not had to say the book’s name neither the author’s, but he did because he wanted to share the source of his discovery. Now, people who are ready to look for this knowledge will go for it; those who are not, will not.

Não li todos os seus livros, mas estou no caminho.
Comecei lendo O Alquimista quando tinha uns 13 anos e não terminei. Acredita que eu disse pro meu pai que o livro era chato?!! Que vergonha! rsrs
Mas tenho certeza que voltarei a lê-lo e desta vez ele vai ser mais interessante do que antes na minha “aborrecência”.
Também escrevo! Sempre escrevi poesias e textos variados, e agora estou finalmente escrevendo meu primeiro livro, um romance.
E você é uma grande inspiração para que eu também siga os meus sonhos como escritora.

The Alchemist is the book of my life too, I agree with every word Mr. Smith says in the interview. I met this magic book in a very magic way and I knew, since then, that God loves me and that the Universe is on my side. I didn’t understand it immediately, it took years to follow signs and get the key at the right moment to make clear every single word mentioned in that book. Thank you so much for being a writer, Paulo, I bless you every day from the depth of my heart.

I love Will’s work as an actor and I love the fact that he is reading your work and sharing it through the media.
Regardless of his Hollywood background, he is a human being just like the rest of us following you Paulo; but the fact that he is a well-known actor will make the path of sharing your words with the rest of the world easier; and I guess, as a writer, the purpose is to SHARE our thoughts to as many people as possible and you sure are an author that we readers NEED to share.
I have been following your work for the last 12 years but I remember being an adolescent when someone told me about the alchemist for the first time. I was not ready at the time. But 10 years later I found “mi historia personal” and I have not let you go. Furthermore, I have gotten all of your books because, as a writer, I identified myself with your writing style and I have learned a lot from you in that way as well. So,THANKS for being born in this century so I had the chance to meet you even if it is only through your work. Blessings.
