Due to the current circumstances, several readers tell me that they can’t find my books in some Arab countries.
Therefore, I went to a “pirate” site and found the current edition. I don’t know if the translation is good, but I think it is my duty to facilitate the access of my books.
I trust you: only download this edition if you can’t find my books in bookstores.

The Alchemist is about life and spiritual teachings. In the story, Santiago, a shephard boy sets out on a quest that takes him through many places and situations that contribute to his spiritual and moral enrichment. The purpose of Santiago’s quest is to act upon a recurrent dream he had involving the Pyramids of Egypt. He visits an old Gipsy in hope that she can interpret his dream, and she tells him that he will find a hidden treasure in the Pyramids that will make him rich. He sets out to find it, and in the process, he learns about his Personal Legend, trust, betrayal, the value of hard work, love, and faith.
Thank you much for making this translation available. I recide in the U.S.A. and have been looking for a translated version in Arabic. Even when I was in Jordan, I was unable to make enough time to look. I would appreciated you please provide me with a website were I may purchase other books translated into Arabic. I have your books in different languages, and this is how I keep up with the languages I don’t have the opportunity to practice on a daily basis. Love your style of writing, you have awakened the passion of reading within my soul, and the hunger to become a more spiritual individual. I will be eternally greatful to have lived enough to read your books.
i like novel too much
Thank you very much for making this Arabic translation available.
My friend who is learning English, left this morning to visit her home country, Syria. When I was saying good bye, I gave her a print copy of The Alchemist in English. I know she’ll be able to read it in English, but it’s nice for her to have access to an Arabic translation.
I cannot wait for her to get back so we can discuss. Again, thank you for thinking of your readers.

Here in Jordan almost all your books are available in both English and Arabic. I have read all your book in English and I can tell you that The Alchemist was the one book that made me a constant reader, and it is my favorite by far!
As far as I know all your books are available in Arabic , i have seen it in all bookstore…I don’t know if the translation is good because i prefer to read the English translation…

I’m a big fan of you Mr. Coelho … Thank you for all that you write.
I think South-American novelists practice magic in their novels..We’re enchanted with each & every single novel of them.. I can’t say nothing but keep on the magic.. Mr. Coelho, humanity knowledge gets a step further ahead, with each novel you write.. Thank you for the magic.
