2:52 min video: Warrior

  1. Monika says:

The dark shadows arise from the warrior’s mind.

  2. Sebastian says:

every day we struggle with our own shadows… of life

  3. Rishabh Bhasin says:

    Wow! Awesome!

  4. katie says:

at the end he defeats the shadow not … with the sword,
    but with touching its heart….

Jungian shadow theory in 3 minutes :o)

    1. katie says:

better: …. by touching THE Heart

    2. Annie says:

Love your comment.. isn’t the heart of his shadow his own heart? :o)
i think as he fights his shadows, the closer he gets to his heart, to understanding, in the end, the heart becomes clearer, he comes closer and closer to his Essence, and then he stops fighting and when he touches it, he is full of compassion ,it’s like saying to himself”Don’t worry, now all is ok”

In the end it is not about killing our demons/shadows, but having full acknowledge of them, and choosing to be connected with your heart

      Love and Gratitude

    3. katie says:

yes, so true; he comes closer & closer to his essence.

reaching one’s own heart … & if you look, he just gently touches it, he takes it in his hand, his hand embraces it.

      namaste, annie <3

    4. katie says:

and when one works with the shadow, it starts to fight … looks as if paulo’s warrior helps here.
it provides support when the shadow grows, as at the end.
keeping then the balance & being able to see & touch the heart
      & not “drowning” in fighting.

  5. Wow! I love the ending with the enlarged heart. Maybe I need to get myself a better sword ;)

  6. Jessica G says:

Funny video …. it´s like he is chasing a shadow …. and you can´t beat the shadow …. only accept that it´s there … but if you turn the light on then the shadow dissapear …. magic :-)

    Love and light Jessica

  7. Annie says:

let all the shadows come out and prepare for a hell of a ‘messy’ party!

    Love and gratitude

  8. HECTOR says:

  9. That was AMMMMMMMAZING!!! thanks for sharing it :-)

  10. Distance says:

I read the novel, the best one that you have written IMHO till date and now this video. I don’t know but I feel a strange connection to this concept of warrior of light.

  11. Kealan says:

    The Warrior and his Soul?

  12. Samurang87 says:

    Thank you for sharing!!

I used to do this dance – although at a beginners’ level. Everyone can try it – even a frail and goofy girl like me.
Practicing the art of the sword gave me much more confidence and happiness than almost anything else in my life, and I hope I will be able to start again in the near future.

As the man in the video fights against his own shadow, and some shapeless dark clouds, I fought against my own shadow, my insecurity and helplessness. I could cut it, stab it, rip it, blow it apart. Every drop of sweat was in reality a tear of joy. The hiss of the sword tearing the air was the sound of power.

Like one of my Masters once said, it is not just about the hands – but the body, the mind, the spirit, the soul.

    1. katie says:

thank you for sharing this with us….
I now begin to better understand a part of tai chi that uses the sword.

  13. Marie says:

Fascinating! In this dance, I see neither force nor power. Only fluidity. A bit like a curved DNA. I’m fascinated by this master of the show with little evidence. A bit like the haiku. The key lies in a few words. Or without sword for this video !

    Light & Love,

  14. THELMA says:

The battle! Real and … imaginary opponents! Everything is in our mind.. We live the dream we have … dreamt, because:

As you set out for Ithaka
hope your road is a long one,
full of adventure, full of discovery.
    Laistrygonians, Cyclops,
angry Poseidon – don’t be afraid of them:
you’ll never find things like that one on your way
as long as you keep your thoughts raised high,
as long as a rare excitement
stirs your spirit and your body.
    Laistrygonians, Cyclops,
wild Poseidon – you won’t encounter them
unless you bring them along inside your soul,
unless your soul sets them up in front of you…

Let’s dream of BEAUTY, MUSIC and LOVE..
    Thelma xxx

    1. CG says:

Yes. I too thought of fighting with shadows … with your own deamons … arisen from your own imagination and fears.
      So you are right:
We should dream of Beauty, music and love.
We’ll have it in our lives then.

    2. katie says:

      right …

Why do little boys always want to be warriors and pirates? I’m always being attacked by swords by my son:D
    Have a great weekend Mr.Coelho:)

    1. Heimo Kruschinski says:

      Dear Barbara,

This is a really good question. For thousands of years, the very wise to rack their brains about it. I’m worried it will remain well hidden from us forever. :-) But why only the little Boys? The big ones are much much worse. :-) now I grab my sword and set off to board a ship. :-) With lots of rum :-)

You and especially your son a wonderful weekend

    2. CG says:

      It’s something archaic I fear …

    3. Heimo Kruschinski says:

So do I. But if not true it is at least a good excuse. A genetic defect on the Y-Chromosome maybe. ♫ ♪ ♪ :-)

    4. barbara says:

ha ha you’re too funny, ahoy and smooth sailing!!!… and thank you, you too have a great weekend:)!!

    5. katie says:

I just gave up when working on emancipation & gender equality on this aspect.

my free mind still cringes when watching little girls playing princess & boys playing warriors.

look at them at a very early age & they reveal those traits :o)

      — a former princess.

p.s. I am not pretty sure whether they are just the genes … I wonder sometimes what the hormone environment in the womb is doing ….

  17. coolguy1609 says:

    Wonderful… Pure art in motion!!!

  18. Irina Black says:
