20 SEC REading: Joy and love

by Paulo Coelho on August 15, 2011

A believer approached Rabbi Moche of Kobryn and asked:
‘How should I best use my days so that God will be contented with my actions?’

‘There is only one possible option: to live with love,’ replied the Rabbi.

Minutes later, another follower approached him and asked the same question.
‘There is only one possible option: try to live with joy.’

The first follower was taken aback.
‘But the advice you gave me was different!’

‘Not at all,’ said the rabbi. ‘It was exactly the same.’

I was looking for a restaurant for my visit to Stockholm, and bumped into this mention of Paulo Coelho….you are inspired….and you inspire so many!!!

The idea for Esperanto was born in a deep sea fishing boat somewhere off the Cuban coast, we had to say thanks for Olympic gold with the Swedish Culinary Team won him a trip to Cuba and once it occurred to us that we would open a restaurant together.
The idea was to create an uncompromising restaurant with fine dining, service and environment as building blocks.

The name Esperanto we caught up from the book “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho. In the book the author describes the language Esperanto language as the universe, the way we want our cuisine will be international, borderless and vibrant with a precise execution. We got in touch with Professor Alf Sollevi, entrepreneur who transformed the “old Earl Atea Tern” to a beautiful house of health and wellness center in the city. There, we were offered the opportunity to stage Esperanto!

Restaurant venue, a former theater’s balcony foyer, breathing both ancient and modern. Just the feeling of timelessness fits our cuisine, and it can best be described as romantic, surreal with a touch of nature’s elements. We put great care in selecting ingredients and beverages, and we love to surprise guests with unexpected and subtly balanced flavors and presentations.
Esperanto is in continuous development without it being necessary to run too fast, for us, everything about refine, refine, refine.

We would like to thank our dear guests and our great staff for helping us to realize our vision.

The same goes for the saying:
Smile at the world and the world will smile at you. Then you will smile even more as the world smiles at you.

or

Smile at life and life will (eventually) smile back at you.

Yesterday the back part of my cars exhaust pipe droped to the ground. A while ago I would have been so furious about this as I was late for work and there is 10 days to next pay-check.
What happened? I just accepted the fact it had happened and put the part in my car and drove off to work. My old car sounded kind of cool and I was near my job so no big deal! I smiled at life and hopefully it will smile back soon =;O)

God is love, God is Joy. Live in Love, live in joy.

However, sometimes I live with love and experience joy (and vice versa) but when situations happen, such as my car breaking down or my children upsetting me, my joy has gone out the window but I still have love in my heart. Does that mean that there is a difference between “normal” joy and spiritual joy?

Many signs appear to me in a very… humoristic way…
Maybe because God loves being joyful and so loves good jokes..
Maybe because He wants us to see the funny side of things and not take everything sooo seriously..
Maybe because Life is about being joyful, smiling, laughing.. enjoying this time on Earth we are given..
loving..laughing..

If Love is Joy and Joy is Love…… then there is only one thing to say..
I JOY YOU SO MUCH
( :D :D ) = ( <3 <3 )

Love and Gratitude

So if you are in love and not feeling joy it no love at all. By the time both of them acquire their target, they will have both joy and love.

Is joy and love spiritual state? Or a physical state? Meaning, Is it possible to be joyful and in love without actually have or experience the physical aspect of it? Can you be in love without lover or someone to love? Can you be joyful if you are below the poverty line? The Monks say it is possible and it is spiritual state. What about the rest of us?

LOVE and JOY are … ‘synonyms’ in a way in … our HEART! When we have found LOVE we feel JOY. It is the state of ecstasy. We rejoice! Joy = Αγαλλίασις!

What the rabbi says is not always easy. But it absolutely right. Joy without love is no joy. Love without joy probably not love. Somehow both are closely intertwined. Life without this is useless. The final movement of Beehovens Ninth Symphony is also: Ode to Joy. Maybe he was the second follower. :-)

I wish you all a wonderful day

What's so hard about trying is the fact that you have to tell yourself to try. And when you try, try to do it with love.

Ah, what a juicy message. :)

All the conflicts in the world seem to be based on that same basic problem – arguing about the different ways of describing reality, without ever realizing that there’s absolutely nothing to argue about in reality, only thing people ever argue about is their ideas of what is real.

A strong reminder for us on the spiritual path to be joyful. Most of us get so carried away in finding the answers of creation that we lose our innocence to be joyful and love flows from joy, and joy from love.

love… yes indeed to have love means to live with joy. love is essential, and not only the one from friends and family but also the one from that special person. it just makes you happy when you wake up in the morning with a big smile in your lips thinking of him thinking of all the ways to make him happy.life seems easier to live, you see it with a different perspective , and there is no room for negative thoughts. it also makes you a better person since you try to improve your self and give the best there is to offer withing you.

WE ARE BORN BECAUSE OF LOVE, AND IT IS BECAUSE OF LOVE THAT WE SUFFER MOST OF THE TIMES!!!! WHY LOVE HAS TO HURT? IT COULD MAKE YOU THE HAPPIEST PERSON BUT ALSO THE MOST MISERABLE ONE. “MY LOVE HAS DECIEVED ME. MY HEART IS BROKEN INTO SO MANY PIECES WHICH ARE SCATTER ALL AROUND AND I THINK IT WILL BE AN IMPOSSIBLE TASK TO PUT IT BACK TOGETHER. HE WAS UNFAITHFUL. NOW I FEEL EMPTY. I’VE SHED ALL MY TEARS, TEARS OF RAGE OF JEALOUSY, OF HAPPINESS…”

now how many times have we heard someone say that? i would say that wasn’t true love, because true love doesn’t hurt. so don’t give up on it, keep on searching, you will have it in front of you when you least expect it!!!!!!!!!!!

aditya September 29, 2007 at 11:11 am

That the reply was exactly the same would be discovered by the follower if he stays true to his ‘follower’ status. If he follows the advise given “to live with love” joy will follow.

Instead of walking the path, any path, so many of us keep on debating / analysing/ weighing / doing thousand and one things in our imagination, when all that is required is to take the next step, does not matter if it’s wrong !!!
