PARA PORTUGUES AQUI>>: Por que choras?

Photo of Majed’s grandfather
A man knocked at his Bedouin friend’s door to ask him a favor:
“I want you to lend me four thousand dinars because I have a debt to pay. Can you do that for me?”
The friend asked his wife to gather together everything they had of value, but even so it was not enough. They had to go out and borrow money from the neighbors until they managed to get the full amount.
When the man left, the woman noticed that her husband was crying.
“Why are you sad? Now that we’ve got ourselves in debt with our neighbors, are you afraid we won’t be able to repay them?”
“Nothing of the sort! I’m crying because he is someone I love so much, but even so I had no idea he was in need.
“I only remembered him when he had to knock on my door to ask me for a loan.”

classic! I love your stories, it reminds me of what is truly important.
We’re so consumed with our own little world that most of the time, we forget to ask how our neighbors are doing and that’s why they also don’t ask. And, we feel we are not understood.
He who has to be asked, has waited too long…
;)
Everithing you wrote is so right and perfect! If we be like u say in your books and your blog, we will be an perfect and happy world! We need to help eachother before our close need to ask! We need to feel the others without too many words! We need only to love!
really inspiring one..jst luv readin ur bookzz…
As is read the Alchimist the first time, three years ago, I couldn t know that it is so deep in my mind and that all has become true to me what is written down in the book. One think which i learned is, that you really need to have courage to get a step closer to your aim or to develop yourself! Just to read the books is not enough, you have to live them! Thanks Paulo!
“Just to read the books is not enough, you have to live them!” – exactly precisely! hope i’m livin’ it right! Thanks Paulo!

True Friend!
Alex
Hello Mr.Coelho,
You’re the only public face which I would like to have a good chat over tea with, to talk about lot of things which have left me puzzled in life and I feel, as my instincts tell me that you’re one of the people having those answers.
Today, I get my self into deep trouble in school just to borrow your book. I was late just by a few minutes but I got into serious trouble because I tried standing up for myself and that your book is no nonsense!
I wish we were destined to have one talk about life and everything else, taht would be enough but it’s sad how life has it’s own plans if only dreams cold turninto reality at times. Thankyou for the briliant work, I’m a student and very much inspired though I don’t get inspired easily.
If there is a LIKED button, I would have LIKED this many times!
So sad in a way…But the human heart has a vast gallery of lovex
The picture chosen for this post will remain my memory ……… I don’t know why….. Sometimes there are no reasons…….
Hello! My first visit, will visit you again. Seriously, I thoroughly enjoyed your posts. Congrats for your work.
Thanks for sharing!
MASHAALLAH! VERY TOUCHING AS USUAL
fascinating!
We are so involved in our own work (to earn our bread and run our families) that we don’t have any time to think about others.
Beautiful soul inspiring story.
Great story…Look around and help before they knock your door.
