Remember remember the fifth of November
Gunpowder, treason and plot.
I see no reason why gunpowder, treason
Should ever be forgot…

An anonymous letter and the plot was over. On the 5th November 1605 >Guy Fawkes was caught in the cellars of the Houses of Parliament guarding a cache of explosives placed beneath the House of Lords, . Guy Fawkes was subsequently tried as a traitor with his co-conspirators for plotting against the government. Fawkes was sentenced to death and the form of the execution was one of the most horrendous ever practised (hung ,drawn and quartered) which reflected the serious nature of the crime of treason.

Londoners were encouraged to celebrate the King’s escape from assassination by lighting bonfires, “always provided that ‘this testemonye of joy be carefull done without any danger or disorder'”.An Act of Parliament designated each 5 November as a day of thanksgiving for “the joyful day of deliverance”.

After the movie, “V for Vendetta”, Guy Fawkes mask became a symbol of the fight against the establishment. In internet, this fight is carried out by a group that called themselves “Anonymous”

Un peregrino llegó a la aldea donde viví­a Abu Yazid al-Bistrami.

“Enséñame la forma más rápida de llegar a Dios”, le pidió.

Al-Bistrami respondió: “ímalo con todas tus fuerzas”.

“Eso ya lo hago”.

“Entonces necesitas que te amen los demás”.

“¿Por qué?”.

“Porque Dios mira el corazón de todos los hombres. Cuando visite el tuyo, por supuesto verá tu amor por Él, y se alegrará. Sin embargo, si en el corazón de otras personas también encuentra tu nombre escrito con cariño, ten por seguro que te tendrá aún más en cuenta”.

Um peregrino chegou até a aldeia onde vivia Abu Yazid al-Bistrami.

– Ensine-me a maneira mais rápida de chegar até Deus.

Al-Bistrami respondeu:

– Amá-lo com todas as tuas forí§as.

– Isto eu já faí§o.

– Entí£o precisas ser amado pelos outros.

– Mas por que?

– Porque Deus olha o coraí§í£o de todos os homens. Quando visitar o teu, certamente irá ver teu amor por Ele, e ficará contente. Entretanto, se Ele encontrar – também no coraí§í£o de outras pessoas – o teu nome escrito com carinho, na certa irá prestar muito mais atení§í£o em ti.

I am always amazed
that so many people are concerned
with wanting to be what they are not;
what’s the point of making yourself look ridiculous?

You don’t always have to pretend to be strong,
there’s no need to prove all the time that everything is going well,
you shouldn’t be concerned about what other people are thinking,
cry if you need to,

it’s good to cry out all your tears
(because only then will you be able to smile again).
