EN ESPANOL: Las señales
We may think at times that the only thing life offers us tomorrow, is to repeat everything we did today. But if we pay close attention, we will see that no two days are alike.
Each morning brings a hidden blessing; a blessing which is unique to that day, and which cannot be kept or re-used. If we do not use this miracle today, it will be lost.
This miracle is in the small things of daily life; we must live in the understanding that at every moment there is a way out of each problem, the way of finding that which is missing, the right clue to the decision which must be taken in order to change our entire future.
But how to find the courage for this? As I see it, God speaks to us through signs. It is an individual language which requires faith and discipline in order to be fully absorbed.
The monks of the desert used to say it was important to allow angels to act. They occasionally did absurd things – such as talk to flowers or laugh without a reason. The alchemists followed the “signs of God”; clues which often made no sense, but which always lead somewhere.
“Modern man tried to eliminate life’s uncertainties and doubts. And in doing so he left his soul dying of hunger; the soul feeds off mysteries” – says the dean of Saint Francis Cathedral.

Every morning is a new day of life. We will be long enough dead when life ends, or so the master tells me. If something bad happens, I say what can I learn from ‘how I got in this situation’, how can I follow the signs to find the true path, my ‘personal legend’.

Finding a sign with close attention in daily life and accepting what it shows to me is wonderful way of listening to my voice… God will hear your voice too and show the miracle moments…
Yes, the “hear & now”… That’s been a favorite phrase and place for years of mine ~ great mind and sign at 747 my time :)

All of these seems true and nice, but how do we recognize the signs?
Answear to “Musiclover!” above. As P. Coelho wrote “It is an individual language which requires faith and discipline in order to be fully absorbed.” It is individual, so it’s only when you are true to yourself that you can understand the language of God. His signs are only for you and you alone, therefore they will be what only you know and understand. So to understand them you must speak your truth and the source will be true to you. But the truth takes courage and many times you will fear it, for the truth is powerful. But be courages and you will understand the truth that fills everything and also rests inside you.

Thank you for the reply! I hope that i will be able to find the signs one day in my life cause i strongly believe they exist.
If you want to ‘find the signs’ try being completely alone, preferrably somewhere peaceful/beautiful, let go of all your day-to-day thoughts and just LISTEN. After a while, you will hopefully hear a quieter version of the ‘voice’ you usually think with pointing things out to you. These thoughts may seem very random and meaningless at first, but if you keep listening and reflecting, they will slowly make sense. If you practice listening in this way, in time, you will find you do not need to be alone or in peaceful surroundings to hear this ‘inner voice’/guidance. Ordinary everyday events will take on new meaning as you inevitably interpret them with this new-found Love, rather than the usual fear-driven anxiety of a stressed mind.
Soon enough you will see ‘signs’ EVERYWHERE, as you allow your authentic inner-self to guide you.
In my experience the trick is to find/focus on the ‘hear & now’ . Our minds usually reflect or anticipate, but ‘the magic’ is ALWAYS current.

At the end of my road is a sign that says “STOP”
Before I die, I’m going to make it past that sign.
I wish I could wake up from that rotina and start to see God’s sign
Today I found in a shopping center a white feather. Within a building. The Feather lay on the ground. This is unusual. I am not a specialist in white feathers. That is your field. It absolutley white, flawless. I have never found one. I think that’s a good sign.

Thank you for this message! I had the thrill of seeing one of the fleeces or signs I had thrown out to God answered this week. Strangely, I had forgotten what I’d asked to have confirmed. I remember when I asked for sign, the vision I saw was so strange that I thought I’d never see it. Two days agao I did. With this message, I feel reassured that if I continue to look, God will confirm his sign to help me remember.

Peccato che I SEGNI sono sempre, sempre, scritti sulla sabbia, sulla neve fresca, sulle nuvole: si devono cogliere I SEGNI nel preciso momento in cui ci arrivano. Se tardiamo, se pensiamo che noi possiamo farne a meno, che noi siamo autosufficienti, che non ne abbiamo bisogno, allora I SEGNI svaniscono: le onde del mare ed i venti cancellano i segni sulla sabbia, il sole o la tempesta cancellano i segni sulla neve, il vento scompiglia le nuvole che scrivono altre cose, ma per altri individui. Così noi, disattenti restiamo incatenati dalla nostra infinita presunzione di onnipotenza. Non avremo saputo cogliere l’attimo, l’opportunità che il destino o meglio, Dio, ci ha inviato attraverso I SEGNI. Delusi, spaesati, colpevolizzeremo gli altri, la sorte.
Meglio andare a caccia di segni ogni tanto o almeno, aprire gli occhi e il cuore. I segni percorrono sempre la strada del cuore per giungere a noi.
Questo mi piace pensare a riguardo dei “SEGNI”.
Chissà se sbaglio anch’io perchè non sono capace di cogliere i SEGNI?
I read this blog just now in the early morning darkness of Nuuk, Greenland. Thank you for reminding me that the “frenzy” of everyday life isn’t necessary, that we all have to slow down and notice the small miracles.
Yes there are signs which are seen when we really want to take decisions or just absurd thinkings.. for everything there is a sign or there are signs ….
