I reckon its something much like an anchient instinct thats left inside us telling the woman that the man is suposed to be strong and abel to protect her and her offspring, in a modern society this can become a bit malplaced. Im not baseing this on scientific facts nor am i saying this applies to everyone, im just baseing this on observation alone. Personally I rather let my tears fall openly and make the love of my life flee then miss the opportunity of getting comfort from the true love of my life.
