I read your Aleph during my free time for 3 days and at night when i go to sleep, I dreamt about it and other things (different issue and yet felt so related). It gave me the feeling of losing comprehension between those in your book and those from my dreams.

Of course I could make no sense at all. Or that I actually do. I just felt the desire to just say so to you, and to your book.

I finished Aleph, since yesterday. And I’ll have to admit it’s one of the best books that I’ve read so far. I’ve read most of your books. Aleph is number 1, followed by 11 minutes. Hopefully soon we’ll get to read some more from you. You’re not only a genuis. You’re a man of wisdom, a dreamer, a role model. And I want to thank you.

Dear Paolo,
I’ve just finished reading The Alchemist. Thank you so much for being a real alchemist throughout the book. You have turned every single word into immense, profound and wise pleasure. The book has been a real “caravan” and the worlds I have been transported to are just magic and the people you made us, readers, encounter have been intelligently entertaining as well as inviting us to rethink and see life through newer lenses.
One more time, THANK YOU.

Dear Paulo, thank you for your books.
Last few month were so difficult for me, I had some medical problems any nobody could heel me and understand what was going on with me. I just knew that I’ve been lost my Path. I couldn’t find a reason why I should live what I should do in my life and WHO I am… Then I’ve got your book “The Valkyries” which was newly published in Russian language. Everything I’ve read there was like about me. And I want to thank you, because u became the only person who’d founded words I needed to hear. Words that could explain me what should I do and why I’m still alive.
Thank you so much.

How do you want it? English or Spanish? Well Since I don’t think you are going to read this and because I am using an English keyboard I will stick with English. Oh, How I love Pointless talk sometimes… Ok, now down to business. I am from Colombia, currently living in Canada, I have read a few of your books (La Quinta Montana-The Fifth Mountain Being my favourite) and five minutes ago I ended reading The Devil and Ms. Prym. It was awesome as all your works are. Your books have been the spark that made me realize that I also wan to be a good writer. Then I looked on the internet how to be a good writer? I wasted more than 4 years trying to answer that question and today 5 minutes ago I realized that I found no answer because my question was the wrong one. I will keep to myself my question and will reveal it should I become as great or even greater than you are. That being said I just want to add that your books are great, I don’t know how you do it, but you have that THING that keep people focused on the tale and the book and on the idea even if it is for a little while since human beings have the tendency to make a commitment to themselves when they read something inspirational, but give up a few steps ahead.

If happen to read this words give a sign or an e-mail just saying Hi, I read your words.

All your works is simply amazing, smart storytelling, imaginative plots and characters that will be sure to teach us a lesson or two in our own life. Meu nome é luiz, tenho 36 anos e adoro ler.

Christ cosmique, toute vie, tu es l’Univers
et je souhaite t’aider à la parousie;
impatient, j’aimerai te voir consommé;
Mes mains ne portent pas les stigmates
mais je ressent ta douleur physique,
par ma souffrance psychique;

Choisis ta vie, choisis ta voie, choisis ton Fils

Dear sir,
I begin to write, and stop, wondering: how do you write to a Nobel Prize winner and ask them to come to your school to give a lecture? I am going to use plain English and direct sentences. I am an educationalist at Al Jamea tus Saifiyah, Arabic Academy, Surat, India. Our education system is primary Islamic, Fatemi oriented, and we also have a small, but evolving Humanities program.
Your books have an international appeal, and we love them down here. The Alchemist is quite popular. I was wondering if you would honor us by sharing your thoughts and ideas about writing with us. It need not require you to come down here. We can arrange an e-lecture. We have the facilities. All we require is, aybe an hour,of your time.

Thank you

Most thankfully,

Zainab Alaqmar

Dear Paolo,

Thank you so much for sharing your words of wisdom. I just wanted to say I was first introduced to your book The Alchemist in 2003 when I had just moved from Atlanta to Washington DC and was having trouble finding my place. I was miserable and ready to move back. My roommate who was from Puerto Rico gave me your book as a gift and told me he thought it would help me find the courage and inspiration to tough it out and stay. That book has had the biggest impact on my life then and now. Now, when I hear a friend talk about having a difficult time and wanting to give up or feeling desperate, I give my copy away and buy another, just as my roommate had done for me. I have purchased MANY copies over the years. Thank you for helping me and many of my friends through tough times!

LOVE!

But i made a conclusion of my own after reading The Alchemist and i hope you would corrct me may be i am wrong “Believing is happening.” I mean one should have strong faith and that strength of his believe turns the tables around for him and things start happening for him.
